The perfect vacation rental cottage tucked away on a quiet street on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. This vacation home is exactly how you imagine a Tahoe home, wood floors, pine covered walls, cozy wood stove and a quiet wooded setting. There is also a second living area that is carpeted complete with big comfy couches, a gas fireplace and a flat screen TV with DVD player and satellite dish.
The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals to share with friends and family. The outside area has a large deck, with built in bench seats and a hot tub that looks on to a vacant lot next door. All of which can be viewed from the living area so perfect for the kids to play in.
The upstairs has two bedrooms, the master with a King Bed and the other room with a Queen bed. The master bedroom also has a large TV and DVD player perfect for movie watching. Both rooms are equipped with luxurious quality linens. The two rooms share a updated full bath.
This rental cabin is centrally located for your vacation activities. A 15 minute drive will put you at the well known Squaw Valley Resort or a local's favorite Alpine Meadows Resort. A 5 minute drive will take you to Homewood Mountain Resort, another local treasure. A morning stroll down the road to the Firesign Cafe is highly recommended for one of the best breakfasts in town. In the Summer, you can walk down to Sunnyside Resort to enjoy dinner on the deck while taking in fantastic views of Lake Tahoe. The marina at Sunnyside provides boats and jet skis for rental as well as wake-boarding lessons. Not forgetting your four-legged friend, Lake Tahoe is also only a short stroll away and next door to Sunnyside is a dog friendly beach (unofficial) with lots of sticks for water play. A mile down the road to Hurricane Bay is an official dog friendly beach.
Golf, restaurants and shopping are only a couple of miles away in Tahoe City. Within a 30 - 45 minute drive they are many more championship golf courses such as Coyote Moon, Incline Village and the Resort at Squaw Creek.

The cottage was great-fully equipped, just as cozy and clean as the pictures show it to be. Updated bathroom was very nice as well. I loved the jacuzzi and fire place! Everything worked well and the cottage stayed warm! Overall the place was excellent. Only downside was getting a hold of the property managers days before arriving-didn't return my phone calls or emails, I had to call several times each day to try and speak with someone. Would have been easier if we dealt with the owner directly.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.
