We've stayed in places in Summit County for decades - Strawberry Hill is our favorite. We ski long days and there is nothing better than returning to a cozy, quiet and meticulous apartment to relax and cook dinner. Kristi and George are warm, friendly and enjoy sharing stories about Colorado -- from soup to nuts. My dilemma-- if I rave too much, we will have more competition for bookings - hmmm. However, we are more than happy to share!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for the sweet words! Just for the record though, it's Snowberryhill. I gave up Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill back in college. ;)

This must be a great place to stay as we have been returning for close to 20 years. The apartment is always clean and spotless. Once you are settled in you feel like you are staying in your own home. The location is convenient for skiing in the winter and biking in the summer. We have recommended Snowberry Hill to our friends who have not been disappointed. Kristi and George are great hosts and provide the inside scoop for all the local attractions, ski areas, and restaurants.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

We stayed for 3 nights and were delighted with our hosts, our accomodations, the convenience to skiing/town, and the mountain beauty of the location. George and Kristi are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. We appreciated their help in answering our questions about the area. The apartment was decorated very nicely (as shown in pictures), and thoughtfully stocked with necessities. The bed was comfortable and the neighborhood / house was quiet. We are very pleased and will plan to check here first for future reservations in the area. :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I am lucky enough to have had the opportunity to take a ski vacation in Summit County this year. I have been coming to Summit County since the late 1970's. This Guest Home has an excellent location clost to skiing, hiking, biking, restaurants, and highly rated mountain golf courses. This nicely done apartment provided the utmost in comfort and is tastefully decorated. The room included a very large outside deck to relax after skiing. From the moment I checked in, I felt cared for by the genuine, friendly, attentive owners. I got more than I expected. I will definitely be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Kristi and George were very accomodating hosts during my 6 night stay in their beautiful home. The apartment is a great alternative to the nearby hotels and resort condos which are showing their age. It was a great base for skiing all of the Vail resort family of mountains and close to dining and shopping. The neighborhood is very scenic and quiet. The apartment is stocked with a number of items that will save you from wasting money at the grocery store for tiems you only need a small quantity of during your stay (i.e. laundry detergent, sunscreen, sandwich bags). No need to reiterate all the positive comments from the other reviewers which are all accurate. All I will say is that other owners could learn a lesson from how Kristi and George manage their property. Thanks for a great stay!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife, I, and two small children decided to give Kristi and George's place a shot and we were not disappointed. The cleanest place we have stayed in Dillon. Everything we needed was there, and if we had any special requests (needed a stick of butter), Kristi was quick to accomodate. The TV, dvd, and cable were easy to follow, a lovely patio was out the back door, and the heat was easy to control. Even though the lodging is the basement of their home, you never felt as though your privacy was interrupted or there was someone even living above you. Would stay again and highly recommend George and Kristi's for a quiet getaway in the mountains.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Just a note. The apartment is in the lower level of our 3 story home. It is a walk out garden level, with full size windows and a door that opens to a lovely flagstone patio.
