We had an unexpected change of plans regarding vacation and ended up in Maine. What a blessing! We spent much of our time right at the house, going up and down to the beach. Our kids exploring, lifting and climbing rocks, checking ubder the seaweed to see what they could find. Running in the field and through the woods. Sitting in the sunroom or on the deck taking in the spectacular views of the bay and Canada. The house is so light, airy and fresh. Lots of movies, cards and games to play. Loved the Tiki Peg game ha! There were opportunities to do day trips and explore past this area, but the tranquility, peacefullness and privacy of this place was exactly what our family needed. Thank You!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

I flew into Manchester, NH and rented a Harley-Davidson Electra-Glide to ride up the coast of New Hampshire and Maine. I rented this house in Calais, the last coastal city before New Brunswick. I knew we had arrived as we pulled up before even seeing the address; I recognized the view shown here in the photo. The house was charming and has a great deck that looks out at the bay. There was a Wal-Mart close by, and a great little restaurant. The house was fully equipped and even had some good movies to watch on the DVD player. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house for anyone wanting a relaxing stay on the ocean in beautiful Maine.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met. • No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. • No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. • All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster/trash, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. • Premises (exterior & interior) have been cleaned. • All keys are left in the front door lockbox and the unit is left locked. • All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. • No linens, paintings, wall prints, or any other inventoried items belonging to property are missing, lost or damaged. • NO early check-in or late checkout. • The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), the local law enforcement, or the security company employed by the owner. PAYMENT – An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required sixty (60) days before arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the rent. CANCELLATIONS – CANCELLATIONS - A forty five (45) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than forty five (45) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 45 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS – Monthly renters must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least ninety (90) days prior to check-in. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests is limited to eight (8) persons. An additional charge or $10.00 per person per night for guests in addition to eight (8) will be assessed. MINIMUM STAY – Rates are weekly, regardless of minimum nights within week rented. Stays over a week will be charged an additional week. INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include a one-time linen & towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate. NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. However, it is available at an additional rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in. Please do not place combustible materials in the fireplace. Please take care in using the fireplace. The 2nd floor bedroom fireplace is not operable. Please do not attempt to use this. Any damage to the property due to fireplace misuse will be charged to the renter. DECKS & GRILLS – Use of decks and grills – please conduct all grilling outdoors. A grill is provided on the premises. Please take care when using this grill next to the deck. Please feel free to use your own grill as well. Any personal grills must remain off of the deck. Damage to decking by use of grill or grill materials will incur charges in the amount to cover acceptable repair costs. WATER AND SEPTIC – This property is on a private well and septic systems. The property is situated on a red granite ledge, causing the tap water to have a slightly red color if the water filter is not changed. Mineral content in the water can be high. The water is drinkable, but if you prefer bottled water, please provide your own. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to three hundred dollars ($300).
