  This is the second year we have rented this home over Labor Day weekend, and will try to continue to do so in the future. It is the perfect house for our family reunion! We love the location! Last year, we were surprised to learn we had front row seats to the fireworks display. This year we were prepared to watch from the dock. We love that we get to end our last night with a beautiful fireworks display. We fully utilize the dock for swimming, fishing and boating. We also love the huge deck where we can all gather to enjoy the early morning and evening views of the lake. We truly appreciate the use of their home.

  We stayed in this house from July 19 through July 23. I first want to say that the agent who was responsible for leasing the property, was absolutely wonderful to work with! She Kept me informed of everything through emails, and the payment transaction was very easy. We arrived earlier than expected, and she let us go ahead and bring our suitcases in! The house is BEAUTIFUL!!! Much prettier and BIGGER than it appears on the web site. It worked out perfectly for my family and my sister's family, including an additional friend. All the teenage girls stayed downstairs with my sister and her husband, and my son slept in the large living room/game room where he could play video games. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs bedroom which was next to the upstairs bathroom. The floor plan was perfect---everything open. I did not find the kitchen to be too small. The pantry was HUGE, so we had plenty of room for a week of groceries. The refrigerator worked perfectly, as did the microwave. We found the kitchen to be well stocked, as were the bathrooms. We rented a ski barge two days and found the location to be PERFECT! It is literally directly across from the marina, and took only five minutes or less by boat to dock at the house. The owners had added new chairs to the outside deck, so there was room for all of us to hang out when grilling. I honestly don't have any negative comments, but perhaps some suggestions. The bushes on the bottom level in front of the patio and the patio doors seem to be very scraggly and block the view of the lake. I would cut those down. You have such a nice view and I really think they detract from the view. Oh, one other thing. The kids (all were ages 17 to 20) would have loved to play ping pong but the garage was too hot. It would have been nice to put the sofa in front of the window in the game room and have the ping pong tablein that room. They would have had more to do. We stayed in another place and they had their ping pong table in their game room and we had all hours of fun (with no mosquitos)!! All in all, we loved this house and would definitely stay there again when we go back!!!

  This spacious house is nestled inside a nice, quiet cove on the sometimes busy Lake Hamilton. The pictures do not do the house justice - we found it to be bigger than it looked on the website. The owners were helpful and very responsive. They answered any and all questions/concerns. We had a great experience with the transaction and service. I would absolutely recommend this listing to family, friends, and anyone for a great week on the lake. The property was very clean and had all the amenities as described. There was also fishing tackle and swim accessories - noodles, rafts, etc. On earlier reviews, I saw some mention of the refrigerator - we had absolutely no issues. We had many groceries and all food was kept to a good refrigerator temp. The boat slip was covered and very large - I'd guess about 30 ft. long - long enough to accompany a party barge or ski boat. All rooms downstairs were very comfortable. The master bedroom is very large, as is the master bathroom/shower. Very nice deck that runs the length of the house. Plenty of room for entertainment. Nearby attractions / recommendations: During the summer weeks, a boat is highly recommended for getting around the area. Several restaurants on the lake are very accessible - Back Porch Grill, Sam's Pizza, Fisherman's Wharf among others. Oaklawn is a must-do if in season. The racetrack is not far away. No trip is ever complete without a visit to McClard's for the best ribs around. Can't wait to stay here again!

  Our church group chose this house to host a retreat for 8 young people aged 14-21. It was the perfect house for us. The rental agency made everything so very easy for us. There were plenty of bedrooms downstairs for them to sleep in and us older folks stayed upstairs. Their staying up til 4 in the morning didn't bother us at all! The bathroom upstairs was handicapped accessible and even though we didn't need that it was still nice to know it was there. There were geese that came up in the afternoons and mornings to be hand fed. We all enjoyed the swimming in the lake, but wished we had brought some more floats. The house was well stocked on paper products and all of those things that most of us forget to pack. There were plenty of towels and bedding. The house is beautifully decorated, but still some touch ups need to be completed. Those few things certainly didn't hinder us any. The fridge worked great, but still need that microwave turn plate. Also, if you find a bible, we left one there and would love to have it sent back to us. :)

  The house was everything we expected. Very clean, good set up, view was great and access to lake was wonderful. We swam and floated in the cool water of the lake. Cooked meals at the house. Kitchen was a bit small but manageable. (need a working can opener and cork screw...both were damaged and tough to use) Ping pong table was a nice feature. Only criticism was that the house was obviously waiting on a few minor areas of attention like painting in areas where walls had been patched and door handles/closure on upstairs bedroom. Would definitely recommend this home to friends and family looking for lodging at Lake Hamilton.

  Great location in a quiet cul de sac, house right on the water. Nice size bedrooms and open family space. Kids really enjoyed playing outside and playing ping pong in the garage.Wi Fi is a major bonus! House is still not quite finished from 2010 renovation, walls and floor board trim still not painted completely. KNobs still missing from cabinets. Also appliances need attention, refrigerator has a lengthy instruction on how to get it to cool(we gave up) and microwave is broken (no rotating plate inside so did not consistently heat food). IN addition, heater very noisy at night, may also need some attention. Definitely provided heat but sounded like it was struggling. Bathrooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. Very homey and comfortable place with many amenities. NOTE: For older travelers stairs to lower bedrooms could be a challenge, there is not a hand rail and one section is open on one side. .

Yes, there are still a few updates that need to be finished in the home, however, the reasonable rates currently offered account for this and updates & maintenance is continuously being done in between tenants. One correction on the appliances ... the refrigerator is almost brand-new & there are no problems with it. The reason for the note with tips on it is due to tenants coming in with large quantities of warm foods & expecting the refrigerator to cool the warm foods immediately, and we place this note on all of our rental units as a standard note. The microwave is not broken, however, one of the previous tenants did break the turning plate, and we plan to replace that soon. We were unaware of any problems with the heating unit as no one has ever mentioned a problem with it, so we will have that serviced immediately.   Our weekend trip didn't last long enough. This house was great and had plenty of room for three couples. It was in a great location. A very quiet neighborhood with easy access to town, and restaurants. We would highly recommend this rental. Thanks again.

  Just spent a week in this home with my entire family.(six adults and two children) Couldn't have asked for a better place. Plenty of room in the comfortable, updated home. Swimming in the quiet cove was perfect. Everything in Hot Springs is within a 15 min. drive. I would definitly recommend this vacation to anyone.

  We had the best time. Everyone enjoyed the lake and the lake house is wonderful. The view is breathtaking. The floor plan allowed my husband and I to get up early and enjoy the sunrise while the kids slept in, it was the best trip we have had visiting Hot Springs. It was spotless when we arrived and the kids enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage. It is close to shopping, eating, and boat rentals. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

  My husband, our children and grandchildren had a great time at Lake Hamilton and the house had plenty of room for the seven of us. The floor plan worked out great for us with one bedroom upstairs and three bedrooms down. You should know before your stay here that there aren't any curtains or any type of window coverings on the main level of the house. No curtains gives you a great view of the lake, but it is a problem when you are taking a shower or in the bedroom and the neighbors can see right in the windows. The house also seems to be in the middle of a renovation. The walls are being painted and there isn't any hardware on the kitchen cabinets nor doorknobs on the bedroom upstairs. We managed ok, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. We had the most trouble opening drawers and cabinets in the kitchen. Also, be warned that sleeping in is not an option most mornings. The yard guy started mowing at 7:30am the first day of our stay and then @ 8:30 am next door the 3rd day of our stay. When we are vacationing, we like to sleep in(but we stayed up late fishing). The most peculiar thing about the house is the lights in the house. The lights come on by themselves at random times. We never could figure it out. We thought it was just in our bedroom the first night, but then when we mentioned it to other family members, we discovered that it happened throughout the house at all hours of the night. Ghosts? I don't know, but it was strange. With all that said, we enjoyed ourselves. The house was for sleeping and eating. We spent most of our time on the lake boating and tubing and we had a great time.

Yes, the home has recently undergone a complete remodel, including a change in the floorplan which provides a more open floor plan which offers a great set-up for large families and guests. The home has new carpet on the lower level, new hardwood floors on the upper floor, fully updated bathrooms, fully updated kitchen, new sliding glass doors, new windows, new doors, and much more with only just a few touch-up items remaining. The home still needs some touch-up painting and hardware on the closet doors & cabinetry and we hope to have these items complete very soon, and our rental rates are lower than others because of these small items. We have also installed curtains on all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. The remaining large windows are left open to offer the awesome views of the lake, and since the home is located on a very private lot in a cul-de-sac - there is very little chance that the neighbors are peeking in. In regard to the lighting, there are two lights (one in the master bedroom & one in the upper bedroom) that have high-tech fans & lighting systems which can be set on timers, so I assume you must have set those timers on those two rooms by mistake which caused the lighting to come on at odd times. In regard to the lawncare, since we are experiencing very hot summers, the lawn guys normally do start their days very early to avoid heat exhaustion & we hope you would understand. The lawn care comes only once a week or less during the dry periods. Thank you again for choosing our home for your vacation and we welcome you to come again!
