Three bedrooms with two master bedrooms (one on main floor) and one double bunkroom. Enjoy the spectacular views from the floor to ceiling windows in the main level family room AND from the wrap-around deck. Jacuzzi, Direct TV, fully stocked kitchen, gas grill, and many more amenities. Main level fire place, plus two fireplaces downstairs, including the second master.
When booking, we will provide you with our listing of our favorite restaurants, hikes, shops, and activities in the area.
Home is 5 minutes from Mount Princeton Resort but privately situated on close to three acres. You get the best of both worlds: privacy and access!
The best thing about Nathrop is all that there is to do close by including hiking, soaking at the hot springs, berry picking, visiting the fish hatchery, world class rafting on the Arkansas River, golf, biking, fishing, skiing, ATV riding and much more. Don't want to cook? Buena Vista is 15 minutes away and Salida is 25 minutes south with great restaurants, antiquing and Salida's notable art scene. We have compiled an activity book with many different options to keep you busy.
Small pets are welcome. There is a fully fenced-in dog run.
The two master bedrooms have queen beds and the double bunkroom has two bunkbeds, each with a twin on top and a full bed on the bottom.

A truly awesome vacation for my family and friends... We knew the views would be incredible and they were more then we expected. Lots of hiking and access to some of the best 4WD trails in the country. Mt. Antero ( is near by and is accessible by capable Jeep or by foot. The Great Sand Dunes NP is approx 2 hours to the south and is a must see. Tin-Cup Pass offers some spectacular views, hiking and some decent fishing at mirror lake. The kids loved feeding the chipmunks in St. Elmo, just west of the house. Hancock Pass and the Alpine tunnel were a great and trail ride... We primarily came to put our Jeeps on the trail, however we found so much more to do than a week would allow for. Buena Vista offers some decent local restaurant choices. We also found several local micro breweries and establishments on E. Main that are worth checking out. Salina has a Wal-Mart for things the local grocery store in Buena Vista does not have. We can't wait to plan our next stay and cannot say enough about this house.... A truly incredible place!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners.

This house is really clean. It is big enough for 6 adults. Has great views of the Chalk Cliffs as the name implies. Kitchen has plenty of room and everything you need. There is a nice dining area outside on the porch, too, with gas grille. There is a large flat screen with satellite. On cul de sac. Very quiet and peaceful. You will be close to the wonderful Mt Princeton Hot Springs which has several pools and a waterslide park, and not far from the Arkansas River. 14er's are nearby, and the Colorado Trail is about 1 mile away. We can't wait to come back.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

Just returned from a great vacation at this home in Nathrop, Colorado. The views from the deck were gorgeous! We had the best time making dinner on the grill overlooking the majesty of the Collegiate Peaks. We hiked, went biking, and of course went to the hot springs. My favorite thing to do was sit on the porch and watch the sunset. We will never forget this week!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

Why the Owner Chose Buena Vista:
We brought here because it is quiet and peaceful, but is also a great place for family get-togethers. This is a beautiful and unique home. It is the perfect antidote for stress and the city. Drive through the South Park Valley from Denver and feel the stress melt away - no matter what the season.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We gather with family, hike the numerous trails, fish, golf, or just sit on the balcony with binoculars and the bird book (both provided).
