This was our family's 1st cabin rental. We usually stay at hotels. We didn't know what we were missing! Having this beautiful, comfortable cabin all to ourselves, made this one of our BEST vacations ever! Of course our favorite part was the river where we spent alot of time floating on tubes and rafts! The seclusion we felt being on such a large property added to the feeling of "getting away from it all". The beds could not have been more comfortable. In fact, we purchased the same brand of mattress for our master bedroom and each of our 2 girls. This cabin is very well maintained and has all of the conveniences of home. The owners were very gracious and helpful in planning our stay! Have told many friends and family about this great vacation! Thanks Again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for the kind words and hope you can visit again soon! Connie and Eric

Eric and Connie, We have rented cabins in N. Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia over the past decade or more. Yours is probably our favorite place we've stayed. The cabin couldn't be in a more tranquil and picturesque setting, looking out on the river with the hill side farms in the background. I woke up, had my coffee on the porch and read every morning. My son and I fished in the river, as well as at a lake 5 mins drive away. We made a fire in the fire pit and looked at the stars. We took walks and bike rides there right from the cabin. Inside you've decorated wonderfully beautifully and it was a relaxing and great place for our family to stay. From the cabin, we went in to town often, to Jefferson, West Jefferson and one day down to Boone. There were good restaurants and shops in the West Jefferson downtown. It was a great time away for us, and we hope to be back! "Our family had a wonderful vacation - restful, memorable, unique, and surrounded by God's creation. You've done a superb job on things. Even with our large family there's plenty of space inside and tons to do outside. Finding just the right spot for a whole family to have a blast is a real trick, but yours definitely fit the bill. We could definitely imagine returning here time and again. Love being on the river with two easy canoe stops nearby." "Your cabin definitely surpassed our expectations and we hope to return before too long."Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Just want you to know how much we loved and enjoyed the cabin! What a beautiful, warm and comfortable place. We just loved the design and the way it was built, from the overall to the small details. If you are the crafters of the design, kudos!! The weather was perfect; evenings on the porch were absolutely wonderful. We don't even know if your televisions work---- never turned them on.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2
