Town is just a short drive away to incredible restaurants, but the view from the deck will lure you into staying put and cooking in the full kitchen.
In the winter, a wood burning fireplace, radiant floor heat and feather comforters will keep the tootsies warm. The Yurt has a full shower and an outside hot tub just steps away.
As you would guess, the Yurt has a fairly open floor plan. In other words, you should be either family or very good friends.
If the yurt is booked during your visit or you are traveling with small children, check out one of our other Bozeman rentals. VRBO #124794 or VRBO#306496
The perfect private mountain get away just minutes from historic downtown Bozeman. From the Yurt door you have trail access for hiking, snowshoeing and x-country skiing. The recently improved Leverich Canyon Mountain Bike Trails are just 1/2 mile ride away. 3 miles away are groomed skate and traditional x-country trails at the Bozeman Creek(Sourdough) Trailhead.
The deck boasts an incredible view of the entire Gallatin Valley, as well as seven mountain ranges including the Bridger, Elkhorn, Belt, Tabacco Roots, Spanish Peaks and the Hylite Mountains.
Wildlife on our 13 acres is abundant. You will likely see plenty of birds, deer, elk and potentially a bear in the Fall. Although we love our wildlife near the Yurt, we do require certain rules and precautions from you to make sure the wildlife stays outside where it belongs. (more to come on that) Should you venture off the deck you will find numerous terraces for lounging including hammocks and tables & chairs.
We love to share our space with friends as we are sure you will want to do as well. The kitchen has everything you will need for a gourmet meal. There is also a BBQ on the deck. Gatherings of more than 6 visitors (plus guests) will need to be cleared with us prior to your arrival. Although we love a good party, this is not a "party yurt". Upon your arrival, you will find fresh flowers, a goodie basket, coffee and a few bottles of wine to purchase if you are 21 years of age. We also have a limited amount of spices and cooking essentials for you to use.
Please note that we do plough the road in the winter, however when staying in the winter and sloppy months a four wheel drive vehicle is required. Should you need to leave your car at the bottom of the drive after a big dump, it is a very short walk/snowshoe to the yurt and we will do everything within our means to make it an adventure and not a pain.

Why the Owner Chose BozemanWe love Bozeman, but we like to get out of town every once in awhile. As you know, getting anywhere from Bozeman takes a major time commitment. When we built the Yurt in 2009, we built with the idea that we would could pack up and be out of town in 10 minutes. You are on vacation, but can still make it to work after the weekend (although we often wait to leave until Monday morning, because it's just so spell binding and relaxing on the hill.
The Unique Benefits at this CabinRelaxation is the key. We have plenty of space (13 acres) complete with quiet spots to sit, lay in hammocks or get motivated and get a work out in. There are bike friendly roads. Moderate Mountain bike trails and extreme mountain bike trails. Grab the snowshoes, skis or running shoes.

The Yurt proved to be amazing and super comfortable accommodations for a week's stay. Wonderful views of the valley, very close proximity to Bozeman's best hiking and biking trails, and a 10 minute drive to downtown for shopping and dining. Connie gave great area recommendations and provided excellent service. Would definitely go back!

My sister and I were in Bozeman for a wedding over Labor Day weekend. The rest of the family stayed in the cookie cutter motels. We had the pleasure of staying at the Yurt. Connie and Clark met us at the Yurt. It was as described perfect foir the two of us and perfect for as many as four. The Yurt was in perfect condition, immaculate. The surrounding property is in the foothills of a mountain range. We were lucky to have an owl serenade us the first two nights. The provided bear spray reminded us we were not in New York anymore. Saturday evening all my family came up for wine and the hot tub. The view from the deck is awesome! The stars at night were incredible. Clear air is a luxury. We were only ten minutes from the city which has become very busy in the seven years I was away. The peacefulness of the Yurt is a pleasant change of pace from town. There is no question I will stay in the Yurt the next time I am in Bozeman.

If you've stayed in back-country yurts available through national and state parks be prepared for an upgrade in accommodations! While we love the rustic yurts we've previously stayed in, this yurt is out of this world. Full bathroom with hot showers, full kitchen with running water, fridge, stove-top, microwave, and utensils. Comfy bed, hotel grade linens, and panoramic views out the wrap-around windows. We stayed in August and loved dinner on the deck, overlooking the valley and the mountains, as the sun went down. And breakfast on the deck in the rising sun with a double mocha (thanks to the stove-top espresso maker) and a good book as we listened to the nearby screeches of a family of red-tail hawks. Days were warm and comfortable (nice cross-ventilation inside the yurt), and in the late afternoons we always hoped for a quick mountain thunderstorm. We didn't need the wood stove or heated concrete floors (looks like marble), but could imagine how cozy the yurt would be with two feet of snow piled up outside. We rode our mountain bikes on both the Leverich Canyon Trail (if single track and jumps is your bag, this trail is for you - and it's a great workout) and Sourdough Trails. Sourdough is a middle chain-ring ride along a beautiful creek with gorgeous wildflowers. It would also be a great cross-country ski trek in the winter. We also rode our bikes into Bozeman - what an enjoyable, laid-back town. Connie and Clark - the property owners - were very helpful with great suggestions for restaurants. We plan to come back to this get-away many times!
