Two beautiful beachfront apartments in one of the best spots in Normandy.

Built in 1865, the historic Hotel des Roches Noires (now a private residence) was a favorite turn of the century resort among millionaires and nobility from around the world. It also inspired many artists and writers of the time while vacationing there. Perhaps best known are Monet’s painting of the hotel : « L’Hotel Des Roches Noires à Trouville », and Marcel Proust’s « Remembrances of Things Past ».

Our Junior & Deluxe Suites (see VRBO ad #71588) are both facing the ocean, on the ground floor of the building, under 17 feet high ceilings. They have just been completely rebuilt to high standards.

The grandiose 15-feet high french windows offer a splendid view on the beach, the tides, and the setting sun.

The Deluxe Suite is 800 sq. ft. It features a large living room, a fully-appointed kitchen, and two bedrooms on the mezzanine level. There are two bathrooms: one with a shower attached to the master bedroom, the other with a tub is on the groundfloor. The couch in the living room doubles as a single bed (3'3 x 6'3).

The kitchen is fully appointed: dishwasher, cooker, refrigerator, microwave, oven... The washer and dryer are shared between the Junior Suite and the Deluxe Suite. Wi-Fi Internet acess is provided.

The Residence des Roches Noires is built on the beach and its tenants have a direct access to the beach and a private terrace. No streets to cross. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. There's also a private parking space within the gates of the building.

The Junior and Deluxe Suite (see VRBO ad #71588) are next to each other and can be rented together as one large three bedroom, three bathrooms apartment that sleeps 6-8.

The adjacent towns of Deauville/Trouville are two hours from Paris, half an hour from Caen and an hour drive from Mont Saint Michel and the landing beaches.
