This holiday house is in the heart of beautiful Punta Gorda Florida. It overlooks a spacious lake like salt water canal with access to harbor and Gulf. And, it has quick access to Fisherman’s Village, downtown Punta Gorda and shopping.
Additional Amenities: Kayaks and bicycles can be made available, as well as a 34’ boat for charter.

Punta Gorda: The quaint waterfront town is known to be one of the best small towns in America. This is a great boating community and has many quiet streets and paths for bicycling.
AIRPORTS: Less than 45 minutes to Regional South West Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers or 1 hour and 45 minutes to the Tampa International Airport (TPA). Fly Direct Air into Punta Gorda Airport 10 minutes from house.
RENTAL CAR: Enterprise, Hertz and Avis are located in Punta Gorda area or at the Airports.
SHOPPING: Less than 5 minutes to Fisherman's Village with lots of charming shops and waterfront restaurants. In downtown, less than 10 minutes, there are more restaurants, shops, banks and grocery stores.
Isles Yacht Club: The Isles Yacht Club has seasonal / short term memberships available. The Yacht Club hosts fine dining, many functions/clubs, a gym, a pool and docks. It has reciprocity agreements with many other Yacht Clubs.
GOLF: Closest is a private golf course St. Andrews South Country Club & Golf course less than 5 minute walk from house and long term guests can obtain memberships.
RESTAURANTS: Fisherman's village and lots of great restaurants in town within 10 mins. List of nearby restaurants available.

We stayed at this home for a month. Upon arriving we were met by the owner and he explained all to us. the home was very clean and neat and had a few items such as toilet paper, paper towels, coffee filters and the like to get us started. the home's updates are great the the kitchen was well stocked. everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable was there. we would definately recommend this home to any travelers wishing to stay in PGI either in the winter or the summer. the heated pool was a plus on cooler days.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.

This was our first time in this home,but it won't be our last. Dennis has this home furnished to perfection. The location is perfect for everything in and around Punta Gorda. The pool and view of the water could not be better. We rode the bicycles to Fishermans Village and down town. It's a short walk to the Seven Eleven for just about anything you might need.The owner is only a phone call away if you need him.You can tell the minute you enter this home that he takes great pride in his properties. It's relaxing and very clean.We have rented many vacation homes across the country.This one ranks right at the top in every catagoty.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Wonderful property and attentive owner. Beautifully decorated with everything you need. We've stayed at a few "fully furnished" houses only to make additional WalMart runs for those items not supplied -- definitely not the issue here. Dennis has appointed this house in great detail. This house will enhance your Southwest Florida stay!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

Jim and I (Karen) totally enjoyed our stay at this rented house. It was very large, clean, great location and had that feeling of being home. Dennis was a very nice person and made us feel welcome. We lounged by the pool, rode bikes, enjoyed watching the boats in the canal, shopped, and even walked the bridge crossing the Peace River. This was by far the most relaxing enjoyable vacation we have had. When it was time to leave, we cleaned up after our selves leaving the home in the same clean inviting way we found it and Dennis refunded us our deposit on the spot. Now to start planning our next vacation in Punta Gorda in this house. (I hope)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was one of the nicest homes we have ever rented! The photos did not do it justice. The house was spotless and we were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen was well equiped with Paula Dean cookware and dinnerware! The owner had lots of material from the local chamber of commerce and maps for us. Plus, he had a nice supply of DVD's to watch on a large TV. When we checked out, we showed that the property was as clean as when we arrived so he returned our security deposit on the spot. Super nice guy!! We would highly recommend this property to anyone and would not mind if anyone contacted us if they had questions.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

About the owner: In the corporate world I lived all over the USA and some overseas. I searched hard to find one of the best places to live. I was looking for a small town on the water, laid back and tropical. I came to Punta Gorda about 17 years ago....and love it.

Punta Gorda is a quaint waterfront community. The harbor and nearby barrier islands offer excellent boating opportunities. The town has many restaurants, parks, waterfront destinations, walking paths and bicycling venues. The fishing in the harbor is among the best in the State of Florida. The living here is laid back and tropical.
