Lovely kid friendly Birdrock house awaits you for your vacation. Completely renovated in 2005. Relax on the large patio where you can enjoy peak view of the ocean, barbeque or take a 2 minutes stroll to the La Jolla Blvd for a variety of restaurants and coffee shops. No need to drive anywhere. Everything is in walking distance. Our house has 4 bedrooms with 2 queen size beds, one full size, and 2 twin beds. There is one corner sofa in the living room that could possibly sleep 1-2 people. There are 3 TV's, internet access, Wii games and a fusball table.
Play games on the grass in the front yard which is completely fenced in, which is great for Kids and Pets, or use the large deck to catch some sun. Borrow our bikes and cruise down the bike path or to the beach. Boogie boards, beach chairs and towels are provided for your convenience.

La Jolla, California - my favorite place to be in Spring! I recently stayed at a quaint cottage in Bird Rock that was just 20 minutes from everywhere I wanted to go! The airport, downtown San Diego, Sea World and the Zoo were all convenient to this beach house. Upon my arrival at this charming home, I was met by the owner, Annelie. She was so friendly and even left me a little welcome basket!
The house is more than comfortable with plenty of space and beautiful, fragrant orchids in all the windows! I felt like I had walked into a tropical dream house. This La Jolla home is spacious with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a beautiful patio right off the kitchen. It was so relaxing to sit on one of the deck chairs and watch the sunset right as it began to sink into the ocean. This home is perfect for anyone traveling with little cubs. The front yard is all grass and completely fenced in; perfect for playing games and running around. The owners even offered to let me use their bikes so I could ride along the beach! The greatest part about this getaway is how close everything is. The ocean, the shops, the attractions and my favorite coffee shop -The Living Room, are all within walking distance or a short drive.
The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with easy access to the main street where you can find many restaurants and shops to browse. At the house, you won’t run out of the necessities. The owners have completely stocked the bathrooms with toiletries and linens and the kitchen is full of utensils and amenities.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday near the city of La Jolla!

This home really is a home away from home. It was very clean and well maintained. The photos simply cannot capture the charm of this home, or the size. There were 8 adults in our party and we had plenty of room to spread out. The patio was great! And the kitchen and laundry were stocked with all the basics. Located in a very quiet neighborhood with lots of shops and eateries within walking distance. This home is furnished with everything you could possibly want. Annelie is an amazing hostess. We really felt at home here. It was a positive experience in every way!!

We escaped the unbearable Texas heat in August and stayed ten wonderful days in this lovely home. We had more than enough room for our three boys and we even had enough room for the grandparents to visit for a couple of days. The boys loved playing in the front yard grass and my wife and I enjoyed quiet evenings on the back patio - grilling, drinking wine, and watching the sunset. Annelie is a great host ... my wife did some painting while we were there and Annelie agreed to mail it to us once it dried. All in all we would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here for a week at the end of August , beginning of September and had a fantastic time. It is a beautiful house with everything you need . There was seven of us altogether , including my three children - ages 10,14 and 16 and there was plenty of room and space for everyone. The terrace area is lovely and we spent our evenings sitting outside ,enjoying a bbq and watching the sunset. There are so many places to visit , we enjoed our day at Sea World , San Deigo and La Jolla to mention a few. I would recommend this house to anyone wishing to holiday in this area. Thank you Annelie for a great week , it is a holiday to remember and we will never forget your lovely house and our week in La Jolla. Hope to be back one day.

We were in San Diego to attend a wedding in September 2011. Also attending the wedding were our son, his wife and their four young children, all under 7 years of age, so hotel accommodation was not suitable. Our daughter-in-law viewed and booked this accommodation on the internet in Australia. The house was ideal for our needs being roomy, very clean, extremely well appointed and furnished. It was child friendly and Annelie, the owner, was very helpful and available to allay any concerns or problems which arose. It was, for us, truly "a home away from home" We highly recommend this accommodation.

We stayed at the house in August, using it as a family base the week before our son's wedding, which took place in San Diego. The house was perfect for us, being clean, spacious, with all 'mod cons' and a large outdoor patio area with barbecue, sun-loungers etc. I have no hesitation in recommending this house as a holiday home for a family or group of friends(age restrictions apply for groups of friends). We had a very enjoyable holiday in the Birdrock area. Nearby shops and restaurants were handy, although the house was so comfortable, we chose to eat in most evenings and enjoy the outside area. This house is definitely on the map if we return to San Diego

My husband and two college age children just spent a great, relaxing week in this beautiful home in La Jolla. The house truly was "a home away from home": immaculate and clean, very spacious and light, very tastefully furnished with a big kitchen and overall ample room for everybody. We had all our meals outside on the huge terrace, which is nice any time a day, at breakfast, for barbecue dinners or sun downer drinks. Annelie has been a great host. She's welcoming, efficient and helpful and very easygoing. We have stayed at almost 10 VRBO homes in the past three years and this was by far the nicest and best managed. We can highly recommend this charming place and hope to return sometime in the future!
