This historic 1884 Queen Anne is a lovely place to spend a vacation. It is on the Santa Cruz walking tour of Historic homes. Step out on the front porch to view the beach. The Coconut Grove, Boardwalk, Bowling Alley and arcade are 2 short blocks away. The Santa Cruz Wharf is 2.5 blocks away. Walk to numerous restaurants, including the world famous Casa Blanca. Free weekly concerts on the beach. The home hosts a large spacious 2 bedroom suite with king bed, queen bed and twin bed. Also available is a roll away bed, allowing sleeping for 6. The main bedroom with king bed doubles as a living room with full couch, love seat, two chairs, and TV with DVD player. The kitchen has formal seating for 6. Original built-in china cabinets adorn the kitchen which has a microwave, dishwasher, 4 burner gas range and refrigerator. This beautiful suite has hardwood floors, 12 foot ceilings, 8 inch crown molding and massive 6 foot windows.
Lots of room for backyard gatherings: Gas BBQ and outdoor seating, hot tub. The home maintains all of its original charm and elegance. There is a cozy bathroom with a window and tub/shower combination. Parking for one car in the back as well as a permit for one car on street. All linens are included. Washer and dryer located on premises also. Stay for less than a hotel--and have much more than a hotel room with more space. Appx. 900 square feet.

Stayed at this B&B for a week with our family of 6: adults, 3 kids (12, 10 & 10) and my mother. It worked out super well for our family. First, the location was fantastic - just two short blocks down to the beach and boardwalk of Santa Cruz. Could walk down for morning coffee and a stroll before the kids got up, or go back and forth the beach easily several times a day. The kids had a great time at the boardwalk every day. The house was very nice. Clearly the owners have put a lot of energy and love into fixing it up and furnishing it with lovingly collected antiques. We stayed in 2 different units upstairs: the larger back two bedroom which was large enough to accommodate all of us, and then moved to the a smaller one bedroom in the front when the size of our group dropped. Both were very clean and nice, but the one if front was extra special because it was sunnier, had a more open floor plan for the kitchen/living room and had a lovely little terrace overlooking the water. When we return to Santa Cruz next summer, we're hoping to stay again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Rented the two lower suites. So much charm and character, loved the antiques and comfy beds!! Our two families loved sharing the experience, but we were able to have privacy at night Loved the furnishings and the 50 inch tv. We never needed to use our cars: walked everywhere.
