Wonderful house that had all the comforts of home. Kitchen was fully equipped although we made very little use of it, as we chose to enjoy the local restaurants. The two porches were wonderful for just sitting and relaxing after an enjoyable day. Conveniently located and an easy walk to downtown Rockland as well as the Maine Lobster Festival. Owners were a pleasure to deal with and supplied plenty of info about the area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+.

We stayed at this lovely house for our sons' coast guard wedding in december. What an awesome surprise! usually places in the pictures are not as nice in real life, but this place was better! very close to everything, walking distance to the water, bicycle to downtown (well if it was summer). The place was very clean and very well kept. The upstairs bathroom was HUGE, the kitchen well equipped, the living and dining spaces very well done and lots of room! We didnt get to use the porches but they are more than enough. low traffic volume and quiet (except for all the pigeons across the street) For all this place has to offer we couldnt possibly afford all this as nice anywhere else. if we ever need to stay someplace on land in rockland (normally we are sailors), this will be the first place we look for.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This house has EVERYTHING. Fully stocked kitchen which we used to prepare our lobster feasts. A dining room of gracious size to enjoy our creative cooking efforts. . There's a deck, a side porch and so many places to relax. And we sure did. Close to the beach. Walkable to town. Minutes from the Farnsworth Museum. We had s great time planning our days ... and sipping wine while reviewing our adventures. 2 baths 2floors for privacy. I will be back - because it was wonderful. PS: the owner called the day after we arrived to see if we were satisfied. We sure were!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I stayed here for 3 weeks in June and July 2011. The house was even better than advertised. It was recently updated and painted. There were 3 bedrooms. One with a queen bed, one with a queen and a twin, and a downstairs bedroom with a twin trundle bed. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. We were only a few blocks from a coffee shop/syore with wi=fi and only about 7 blocks from downtown, Lots of good restaurants were within walking distance, but you needed a car for grocery shopping. The beach was 2 blocks away. It is very rocky, but we saw kids swimming. There is also a seaside boardwalk for those who like to walk. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.

We just came back from our very first trip to Rockland. This house is an ideal rental and thouroughly exceeded any and all expectations that I as well as my four companions had. The house is comfortable, quiet and well appointed. The location is ideal and we especially loved it's close proximity to town. I fell in love with the small beach at road's end and the business district of Rockland stole our hearts. Great shopping, dining and entertainment thrilled us! Upon arriving in Rockland, I put less than 35 miles on my car is 6 days! It doesn't get any better than this! Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Charming home, well taken care of. Within walking distance of shops, and waterfront. Home is within traveling distance to several lighthouses. Much to see and do, or if preferred just hang out there and relax! The owner was very helpful and prompt when anything needed to be taken care of, or to answer questions.Rockland is a beautiful little town to visit! We would recomend renting this house.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: My name is Brian Farr and I reside in Portland Maine with my wife and two children. I love living in Maine and can't think of any other place I would rather be. I am a small business owner and huge soccer enthusiast.
Why the Owner Chose Rockland:
We bought our vacation home in Rockland because we love to be near the ocean. We love the great downtown with its unique shops, boardwalk and restaurants.
