Renting this house with our 3 children was perfect! Our 2 week vacation in Santa Barbara was one of the best we have had ever and being in this house made it spectacular. The house was spacious and comfortable for all of us. The kids loved the pool and outdoor grounds. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up great meals. The house was clean on arrival and having Rosa clean it twice a week kept it very clean throughout our stay. The house had an amazing view and was minutes from the greatest beaches in Santa Barbara. Meg and Dan made it very easy to find everything we needed both in the house and locally in Santa Barbara. We would highly recommend renting this house for families with kids who want to enjoy the beauty of Santa Barbara!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

Everything about our stay at this lovely home exceeded our expectations. The view is amazing, the solar-heated pool area, with a built-in bar and mini-refrigerator is like having your own private resort. Our younger daughter enjoyed the sturdy, well-built play structure and the children's art and music room.We all had fun playing Bocce Ball and horse shoes! The high-quality bicycles that the hosts left for our use were great as well. The mattresses on the beds were very comfortable and complimented by high-quality sheets and comforters. There were so many things that added to our comfort and enjoyment: the plush towels, the outdoor heaters on the patio, the kitchen with excellent appliances, dishes and cookware, the downstairs bedroom and bath with a private entrance where our nanny stayed, wifi, cable TV and Apple TV, but most importantly we appreciated the hospitality of the owners, Dan and Meg. Whenever we had a question we called or emailed them and they always responded quickly. When we arrived they had a gift basket and card waiting for our family, and fresh-cut flower arrangements from the beautiful rose bushes on the property were found throughout the house.The house was very clean when we arrived, and having Rosa come to clean twice a week was wonderful. We appreciated her kindness and thoroughness. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful family vacation in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Santa Barbara.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

This house was perfect for our 2 week vacation!! The views, pool, neighborhood, play structure, furnishings and well basically everything about this house was amazing. My boys did not want to leave this wonderful home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: My husband and I were raised in Santa Barbara and met at Santa Barbara High School many years ago. It took us more than a decade to make our way back after we left for college but have never regretted returning to this wonderful community and beautiful city of family and friends.
Why the Owner Chose Upper Riviera:
Purchasing this property was a dream come true for us. We had spent many a Sunday driving riviera neighborhoods but had long ago fallen in love with this particular street due it's easy access, larger lots, usable yards and the unique views of this incredible city. This home has welcomed many in it's nearly 100 years and has wrapped it's arms around all who have lived and stayed here. You cannot help but wake-up feeling grateful here and are happy to share our home with you.
