Aliomanu Bay estate description

Hale Aliomanu- a Private Beachfront Estate Home TVNC-4245

Hale Aliomanu is a private oceanfront estate located on Aliomanu Bay, Kauai Hawaii. As you drive in the gate, you enter your own personal retreat, swaying palm trees, the soothing sound of the ocean, lush tropical landscaping, the scent of plumeria and the solitude of Kauai. Enjoy unobstructed ocean views from most all of the rooms. Watch the sun come up from the comfort of your bed, or stargaze with virtually no ambient light from your lanai.

The elegance of this estate home is evident everywhere, Ipe wood floors throughout, top of the line kitchen appliances, regal bedding and attention to every detail will make your holiday perfect.

Walk out your front door, stroll across the lush lawn to one of the most private and year round swimmer friendly beaches, the pristine turquoise waters of Aliomanu Bay. Relax and enjoy shell collecting, boogie boarding or a kayak trip across the bay in one of our sit on top, novice friendly, ocean kayaks.

Hale Aliomanu sleeps 12 comfortably and has a detached studio unit as well as a separately keyed 1 bedroom/1 bath guest unit.

Parking inside of the estates gate can easily accommodate 5 vehicles.

Conveniently located on the East side of Kauai you can enjoy most other famous Kauai attractions with a short drive North or South.

In addition to the seclusion of this location and the postcard perfect views, Hale Aliomanu is a very unique home, decorated by Gail Miller, and a special place where snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, shell collecting, and fishing in Aliomanu’s reef protected waters will create some of your most cherished memories.

This house was absolutely perfect for our big family vacation! There isn't anything that the property managers haven't thought of. From the booking process to arriving at the house, they make sure the process is as easy as possible on you. Everything is very well laid out and stocked. Beautiful kitchen with everything you need to cook a big meal for a large family. Not to mention all 12 of us sat around the table comfortably! The house is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful landscaping and an amazing beach in your own backyard. The kids loved chasing chickens & playing soccer in the beautiful big grass yard and the adults loved taking kayak trips back and forth across the bay. The pictures really don't even do it justice! It was absolute paradise! Our family has traveled to the islands many times and this was by far our best accommodations. Even the location is perfect on the island. I would highly recommend renting this house to anyone traveling with a large group.

Manager response: Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review. I have a great team that strives to provide the highest level of care, our attention to detail I believe is extraordinary and we are always trying to do more in an effort to match this exquisiteness of this home and do justice to the superb location. We all love it when our efforts are appreciated! We recently hired a cabinet maker to fashion the large hardwood dining room table and I am thrilled you were the first to enjoy this addition with your family. I will be sure to tell the landscapers their efforts were rewarded with such a nice compliment. Thank you again for your review.

The photos don't do this place justice. Gorgeous views and open floor plan! My sister kept saying that this place looks much bigger in person than on the photos. Sunrise is not to be missed! Conveniently located just a short distance to all the fun sights on the island. No need to drag all the gear to any other beach. This place is like having your private beach just stepping off from the lawn. Great snorkeling and kayak just off from the lawn. We stayed with family ranging from ages 60+ down to 2-year old and we had a blast! Highly recommend!! A++++++

Look no further...you have found the perfect home for a vacation in beautiful Kauai. Our family consists of two married daughters and sons in law, one son and girl-friend, two young grand-daughters and a 90 year old Mother. Everyone needed their own space plus bathrooms and this house delivers. There are three upstairs bedrooms all with private baths, a private bedroom with bath downstairs and a small apt. over the garage, plus a den that makes into a full bed. Everyone was happy. Great front and back lawns that walk out to the beach. The home is well appointed with a gourmet kitchen, all necessary utensils and a plethora of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards galore. Quiet and secluded this was the ideal place for our family to commune with the wonders of Hawaii and with each other. The property manager, Jude, was without a doubt the nicest agent we have every dealt with. Accommodating, attentive and friendly, Jude was a joy to work with and made sure all of our needs were immediately addressed.

We had 2 families stay at Hale Aliomonu with 6 kids under the age of 8 for 10 nights. There was plenty of room for everyone and nobody was cramped. The bay is ideal for kids as it is protected by a reef. The pictures don't do it justice and is one of the few places I've stayed where the actual is better than the advertisement. The house is very well kept, properly equipped and the setting is nothing short of stunning. Jude is by far the most detailed/attentive/responsive property manager you will find. The location is a great spot to explore the entire island. We were able to spend a couple days at beaches in Poipu as well as a few days on the north side (Princeville). Never felt like the drives were long at all. Would recommend this to anyone looking at houses on the island.

It was sooooo hard to leave this place....the night before our departure the moon was radiant, casting it's glow onto the gently swaying palms, beautiful gardens, and the huge verdant lawn with the silvery, rippling vast ocean just beyond viewed in all its expanse while the scent of tahitian gardenias wafted through the plentiful windows and huge sliders. Too heavenly to sleep, I chose to bathe in the huge, elegant master tub surrounded by windows letting in the fragrant breeze and moonlight...oh, if only it was possible to suspend time! We all (8, ranging from 83-9) thoroughly enjoyed our stay, from the first minute through the electronic gated entry to discover a meticulously landscaped, very impressive tropical haven with a ground floor private guest suite for our elderly mother, then opening the main house doors with jaws dropped upon seeing the gorgeous ocean views through humongous sliders (immediately opened) onto a thick, green lawn leading to a semi-private sandy beach, to the last morning spent snorkeling just out front and delighting in the variety of beautiful, brightly colored fish. What a wondrous, bittersweet way to end our stay. The home is conveniently located between Kapaa and Hanalei, reducing hours in the car. The kitchen is a delight to cook in - surrounded with windows, multitude of dim-able lights (throughout the house as well - bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, hallways - fun to create numerous effects!) w/sliders to 3 beautiful dining areas, letting in the tradewinds while cooking - heavenly. Top notch linens/pillows. Filtered water. Pics don't do the house justice. It's very polished - prettier on the exterior w/very expansive rooms, deeply rich teak wood floors throughout - loved walking barefoot on. But personally, my favorite aspect of this home (if I had to pick only one) was sitting up in bed each morning to the expansive view of a glorious, shimmering, golden sunrise over a vast blue ocean & meditating while the gentle breezes blew in from the over-sized master slider & all the various windows in that expansive master suite; then each night after showering in the 3-headed over-sized shower, sitting up to meditate once again and viewing the moonlight on that same heavenly ocean. Jude, the manager was a conscientious delight! Her delicious white pineapples are incomparable and she can share with you the most delicious (fibrous-free) variety of mangoes in the world - Rapoza! Yummies - Hemingway's in Kapaa & Kalaheo Cafe

Kaua'i is a small island and parts of it are inaccessible so it is possible to see it all with a minimum of driving no matter where you stay but this part of the island is particularly pleasant. And Hale Aliomanu is a splendid choice. The house is wonderfully laid out on the property. You can make fine use of the back yard, and the front yard slopes right down to the water (it's about 20 yards of grass). The landscaping is ideal. Your privacy is assured. The house is beautifully designed. The traffic flow from the back covered patio through the kitchen to the dining area and out to the front lanai is perfect. Kudos to the architect. The kitchen has excellent accessories, all top notch. Even the knives were sharp, a boon to our excellent cooks. We fed 10 people comfortably. The bedrooms and baths are all excellently designed, too. The house has neither air conditioning nor heating -- and it does not need either one; the breezes suffice. We were never crowded. The managers, the Hubers, know how to take care of their guests. They properly balance leaving you alone with making sure your needs are met. If you should call them they answer immediately; they can also recommend things to do and who to do them with. As we were reluctantly leaving on the last day one of our rent cars would not start. We called the company and they said they would be there in about 1-1/2 hours. Not good enough. We had the good sense to call the Hubers and Paul was there in five minutes with his jumper cables. We made or flight. All 10 of us (covering 3 generations) highly recommend Hale Aliomanu.

Hale Aliomanu is an exquisitely beautiful home right on the beach. The views all around the home are stunning: the ocean with the palm trees swaying in the breeze - the majestic mountains and views in the back of the property. We were in awe that, as we walked up to the back of the home, we could see the ocean's waves -- through the front door, through the living room and beyond the patio to the backyard and ocean view. Wow!! We celebrated our 50th anniversary with our two children, their spouses and five grandchildren. We held an unforgettable ceremony in the yard facing the ocean. Each of us have memories that will last a lifetime. Finally, Jude was the perfect hostess. She was accessible and friendly. She even helped us with local sights and restaurants. Thanks Jude!!

We rented this oasis of a house with another family and had an incredible much needed vacation. Both couples have 2 young kids so we had 8 people total in the house. The house can clearly accomodate many more people comfortably so the 2 families had plenty of space to spread out and get comfortable. The house is immaculate, the location is private and the protected beach was amazing for the kids and adults. We actually had sea turtles on the beach the first day and our kids eyes popped out of their heads. The kitchen is very condusive to cooking some great meals and is extremely well appointed. The house manager was responsive, attentive and pleasant to deal with. When we first arrived there were fresh cut flowers throughout the house and fresh local fruit that she had picked and put out for us. Very nice suprise. From the house it was easy to get any place on the island and the house manager was extremely knowledgeable about the island and made some great suggestions. The cost of the house seemed extremely reasonable given the quality of the experience and compared favorable to staying at a star resort. I would highly highly recommend and look forward to taking my family back.

Manager response: Aloha Dan, thank you so much for the great review. There are so many positive aspects of Hale Aliomanu I could never fully describe them all, but you did a great job outlining my favorite parts. The incredible, virtually private beach, so welcoming, for both young and old, safe with all the best to offer, shells, turtles, monk seals, dolphins, whales and the warm inviting waters of Kauai. And then to top off a great day, as you said, there is the great kitchen, perfect for a spectacular meal to match all the spectacular days at Hale Aliomanu. Mahalo. Jude

I have rented many homes for vacations, but this one tops them all! This house is amazing and in a great location. 25 Minutes to the north shore and 30 to Poipu. Jude the manager is the best manager I have ever dealt with. Not only did she give us a good last minuet deal (like the day before) she was always avlb by text or phone for anything, restaurants, weather, and places to go its like having your own concierge. She also grows the best white pineapple on the island, try it you will never eat golden again it was so good. Now for the house, open floor plan right on the beach and it has a guest house with a kitchen. Huge master bedroom with balcony. There are 2 kayaks and chairs to take to the beach. The snorkeling was great right in the back of the house and because of the reef it was calm all the time with no currents, good for all swimmers. You will hardly see anyone on the beach it was so nice. As I am writing this I am totally missing being there and were already trying to decide when to go back and were telling all our friends and family about this place. You will love this place and its location.

Manager response: Aloha Mark, mahalo for taking the time to write such a nice review. I appreciate it and fellow travelers will also appreciate knowing how absolutely spectacular this secluded beachfront estate really is. I am always surprised to see the beach virtually empty, so blue and inviting. The morning after your departure I was at the home cleaning and looked out the front door to see a humpback whale breaching, full breach, completely out of the water, over 10 times. I literrally lost count. And if that wasn't enough there was a monk seal sleeping on the beach just 25 feet from the house. I hope to see you again in the future. Much aloha, Jude

If you think the pictures are great you should really see this place live, it was truly amazing. Nothing better then getting up in the morning taking a 5 second walk to the beach and seeing the sun rise or just staying in bed in the master suite and watching the sun rise from there. Although all beaches are public this one seemed like a private beach, nobody on it most of the time. There were many favourite parts to this house, one being the outside shower and of course the master bedroom. My wife had a milestone birthday and had family and friends come over so there was 9 of us in the house, plenty of room, could have easily had a couple more people. House is very private, quiet and very clean, if you are not relaxed after staying here then you have done something wrong. The best part about the nights, listening to the waves crash as you fall alseep, I have never slept so good in my life. Then there is Jude, the house manager. Awesome lady, easy to get a hold of, great to have a chat with, just a super person. Best white pineapple on the island, try it you will never eat golden again. I would recommend this property to friends and family, if fact I already have. I have talked to some friends about planning a trip with our 3 families and staying here again I have been to Maui a number of times and do not think i will go back, love Kauai, very relaxed and easy going Can't wait to come back, amazing vacation, house and island, plus i have not played all the golf courses yet Only complaint - having to leave, did not want to

Manager response: Mike, mahalo for the wonderful review. I must admit the number of days I walk out to the beach and find it completely empty always amazes me especially because the beach is so user friendly, so safe for young and old. Thank you for the compliments about our home. We are always trying to keep it perfect for our guests and its nice to know we are succeeding. I look forward to seeing you again and of course we can offer you a great discount for future rentals. Jude

              Year Purchased: 2006

About: My husband and I have lived in and cared for Hale Aliomanu (VRBO 306938) and Hale Aloha (VRBO 308945). Both private gated estates are 200 feet apart on same secluded Aliomanu Bay. I have always loved the water, and after coming to Hawaii in the 70's when I was 17 I knew I'd never leave. We moved to Kauai in 2000 and love the ocean, surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and fishing. The quiet small town appeal of Kauai fits our personalities perfectly. Some of my most cherished family memories are from the estates at Aliomanu Bay. Please give us a call anytime about your vacation plans and this property. Much aloha, Jude and Paul Huber

              Why Aliomanu Bay:
              Beachfront, Seclusion, Beauty, Investment, Location.

The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
Turquoise blue ocean views, watching the sun come out of the water from my deck, from my bed, from my front yard, whale watching in the winter, monk seals sleeping on the beach, dolphins in the summer, turtles year round and seeing the Milky Way like never before. The swaying 40 foot palm trees, the cool ocean breeze throughout the home, and the lulling sounds of the ocean are so enticing. And the shelling, finding coral letters on the beach that spell 'L O V E', walks on the virtually private beach, the children building sand castles everywhere and enjoying the quiet of Kauai that separates this home form many other oceanfront properties.
