    The condo was wonderful and the trip far, far exceeded our expectations!! There is nothing we left undone....zipline, rafting, overnight visit to the volcano, sunset sail, fabulous restaurants, good wine and local beer. As you can see, we had a wonderful time. The people in Jaco were extremely friendly, and they always had suggestions of fun things to do. The view and sunset from the balcony are spectacular....a delightful place for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The condo was extremely comfortable and totally fitted out. The location was perfect for walking to all the good restaurants in town, and close to the grocery store for all of our essentials. And, of course, the taxi cabs were always there when one didn't feel like walking. Walking was a safe experience...day or night. A totally awesome experience!! Mary and Tom Ambrose

    We loved this amazing condo in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica. It is well-appointed with wonderful linens and gorgeous sunsets! The owners and their property manager were attentive to all our needs and even shopped for us before our arrival. There are several balconies on which to gaze at the ocean. The pool area is lovely and the was well maintained by the staff. I loved my stay there!

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

    The booking experience with this condo was absolutely fantastic. Cathi, one of the owners, was extremely helpful in educating me on the condo, the area and the attractions. She also was very helpful in arranging transfers and advising about activities and things to do in the Jaco Beach area. The condo itself is excellent.....well appointed and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools and utensils, which allowed us to enjoy some excellent meals in the comfort of the condo. The bedrooms were large and very comfortable with nice towels and linens. The TV/dining room was quite large and has a fabulous view of the beach and ocean from the 6th floor. The DayStar staff was very helpful, attentive and quick to answer all questions. I had no problems, but when I asked questions or needed a suggestion they were very responsive to my needs. The local area provides many outdoor activities, which were really fun --- we whitewater rafted (a must!), zip-lined, rode ATV's and bungee jumped. All were very professionally done and well worth the money, particularly the rafting which was a great joy, but also included some stops at very beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes. The restaurants were very good and not overly crowded -- there are many varying choices from Chinese to sushi to hamburgers. Overall, a very satisfying stay and very enjoyable for my family. I hope we have the opportunity to work with Cathi again in renting this condo at staying at Jaco Beach --- I've already recommended it to several friends!

    This condo is absolutely fabulous. It is new, very well maintained and beautiful. It is located on the 6th floor so the views up and down the beach are unobstructed and to die for. the whole complex is very well maintained, the management company are Daystar and are very helpful and cooperative they also booked all our activities which included white water rafting and zip-lining as well as deep sea fishing. We had one issue with the airconditioning unit in one of the bedrooms which was taken care of and repaired within the hour of reporting it. The security at the condo building is great and very friendly not that we ever felt there was any kind of threat, the area is very friendly and safe. Would we return? absolutely and we have already recommended this condo to friends! The photos on line do not even begin to do this condo justice, we would consider buying this condo, were it ever listed!

    I've been coming to Jaco for years because I find it to be a perfectly relaxing getaway. I love Jaco because there's plenty to do if you wish, even if it's just relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the area. Everything is close enough so you don't need to rent a car. I have tried out a couple of different accommodations, and last year I stayed with my family in this condo. The last trip that I took I decided to save a little money and stay in another complex that the same builder had built thinking it would be just as nice. WOW! You definitely get what you pay for. The unit looked very nice on the VRBO site but it was not close to what they presented. It was on the far side of the town so I had to take a taxi if I wanted to go to the other side of town. I am writing this review now because I am looking to go back to Costa Rica and decided to look up this unit again because it was exactly what they represented to us. The owner was great to work with and the process was easy. No disappointments. I am going pay a little extra but I know what I am getting. It's worth it when you are traveling.

    I cannot say enough good things about this vacation rental! The views were incredible, it had everything we expected and more. Beautiful fully equipped kitchen, comfortable couches, the beds and sheets were top notch quality! Loved going out on the balcony in the mornings to drink my coffee, and in the evening watching the beautiful sunsets night after night. Easy access to the beach where we would go on frequent walks, and a luxurious swimming pool right next to the beach. The condo is conveniently located with easy access to shops and restaurants. You truly get the costa rican feel in Jaco. It was nice to stay somewhere that you were able to have a beautiful home to stay in, with the local favors right outside your door. Not so stuffy and separated from the real costa rican experience! This place was beautiful, and above and beyond our expectations. When I do return to costa rica, I will definitely be coming back here and have told many of my friends about it. Cathi the owner was friendly and more than helpful!

    We recently stayed in this condo in Jaco, Costa Rica with two other couples for three weeks. The condo was roomy, attractive, clean, and had a beautiful view of the beach and the ocean. The development is conveniently located close to the main road of Jaco with easy access to many restaurants and shops. The equipment provided in the condo was lacking in many respects: not enough glasses for example. The description on the VRBO website had led us to believe that there would be free phone calls to the USA, but this turned out not to be the case. They did provide complimentary Wi-Fi which proved quite reliable, and we were able to maintain communication to the States. There was no access to a barbecue grill. The mattresses were incredibly soft and uncomfortable. Power outages were almost a daily occurrence, although never for too long each time. There were two small but definitely palpable earthquakes during our stay. The pool was delightful, but no umbrellas were provided for shade from the blistering sun. We were disappointed to find that the beach was not suitable for sitting in chairs, mostly because there were no umbrellas or palapas for shade. Several of us took to spending the mid-day hours in the condo rather than out in the sun. The management office was very helpful in arranging excursions to several of the attractions of the Middle Pacific Coast of the country. For the most part the office staffers were knowledgeable, but unreliable in dealing with maintenance issues, arranging for cleaning help for the condo, and in returning phone calls in a timely manner. Nearby restaurants that we enjoyed included Graffiti, Wahoos, Lemon Zest, and Caliche’s Wishbone. The highly touted seafood buffet at Hicaco is a ripoff to be avoided. We did enjoy our boat trip to Tortuga Island, the tram ride in the Rain Forest, and the Crocodile River tour. The Tour to Manuel Antonio National Park was disappointing to some of us. All of these tours were well-organized and informative. We did want to go to the Arenal Volcano but it was too far to travel. The trip from the airport in San Jose to Jaco is an hour and a half by van. Prostitution is legal there and hookers are obvious on the street, and rumored to use the condo development for some of their activities. We felt that Jaco is more appropriate for young people, mostly surfers, than seniors like us. The Costa Rican natives were very nice and hospitable, but we will look for another area more suited

    Owner response: This review is greatly appreciated. We love to get feedback from our guests that stay in our amazing home in Jaco. I like to address the comments that our guests submit. We arrived at the condo right after these guests left. we arrived to find a fullly stocked kitchen with servings for eight. With regard to the free phone calls to the US; this was a misunderstanding between the owners and the developer. We neglected to remove it from the VRBO website until our guests brought it to my attention. Our VRBO site does not reflect a BBQ for the reason that it iis in violation with the association to have a BBQ grill on the balconies. With so many great local restaurants to choose from, we don't mind. As far as the mattresses, I understand that everyone has their own personal preference. Being that we share our home with guests we are unable to meet each person's needs in those personal amenities. The remaining portion of the review I believe addresses the guests experience in being in a another country, This is Costa Rica! In my experience they don't have all of the sophisticated equipment that the states have. Costa Rica is the most beautiful lush place that I have ever been. Rain feeds the lushness. Yes, there are very short power outages from time to time, but they are out only for a short period. I have never experienced an outage that was a inconvienience during my stay. The shade issue confuses me as we spent a fair amount of time right outside the condo under the palm trees, completely protected from the sun. There are umbrellas that can be purchased in town if you want to be by the pool for the early morning before the natural shade arrives. Prostitution is present in Costa Rica and in the US and is one of the oldest trades in the world. The rumor of using the complex for the trade, is a RUMOUR! The developer resides here with his family and would not condone this activity in the development.. If you are looking for an all inclusive contained resort, staying in a vacation home may not be what you are looking for.

    After an exhaustive day of travel, we arrived at the condo and immediately felt an “awe” moment as the condo’s cool air refreshed our tired, overheated bodies while the view of the ocean drew us in. The condo is everything that is stated on the VRBO site. It is luxuriously furnished, and its décor is tastefully done. The view from the balcony is incredible; the balcony became the main stay of our vacation by providing our morning coffee retreat as well as our evening sunset wine ritual. The sound of the surf quickly invited us to fully unwind and be lulled to a restful night’s sleep. We found the condo to be well equipped. The owner, Cathi, has done an amazing job of stocking the kitchen with everything one could need to cook. We found ourselves eating in more than we had originally intended because of the well appointed kitchen, and availability of fresh fish and yummy fruits and vegetables from the local stands and markets. The condo’s floor plan is perfect when traveling with other couples (as we did). Each room has its own bathroom with beautiful tiled walk in shower. Another added plus is that there are separate climate controls in each bedroom which appealed to our differing levels of air temperature comfort. My husband and I slept fantastic, as well as the other couple that was traveling with us. We all enjoyed the ultra soft sheets, billowy pillows, and plush bath towels. The pool area, even though there were other guests, never seemed to feel crowded. There were many lounge chairs throughout the pool commons area. What I especially liked was the fact that the pool sits just above the ocean, allowing guests the best of both experiences….relaxing by a sparkling pool while still taking in the ocean view and tropical breezes. The condo location is a short walk to Jaco’s center. The town of Jaco has a culture all to its own. It is a typical beach town with many shops and restaurants appealing to budgets and tastes of locals and travelers. It is not without its weekend party scene atmosphere when the local beach bars are full and Jaco’s night life is in full swing. Part of the charm of staying in this condo is to be able to sample the flavor of Central America and experience Costa Rica beyond the eco tourism that made Costa Rica a destination of choice. After a great meal and town walk, returning to the quiet condo complex felt like a million miles removed from Jaco’s lively vibe. I will be looking forward to returning!

    Our trip to Costa Rica exceeded all our expectations! We spent the first two days in Monteverde which I highly recommend. We ziplined in the cloud forest, visited a local coffee farm and enjoyed wonderful Costa Rican cuisine. Then on to Jaco for our stay at this beautiful condo! It was truly wonderful and relaxing to enjoy local coffee in the morning and wine at night on the porches. You have the perfect view of the ocean to listen to the waves and enjoy the surfers, or you can view the mountains and town from the back side. It is a great location as you can walk to everything in town or step out from the condo and enjoy a walk on the beach. We got to know Anna and the security guards which were all very friendly and helpful! The condo was extremely clean, modern and well-appointed. Very comfortable! And Cathi was so helpful and kind in helping us get the information we needed to enjoy our stay at their home. One of the highlights of our stay was the visit of the scarlet macaws in the morning and evenings as they migrated. Being on the sixth floor was perfect as they were flying right in front of us on the porch and perching in the trees next to the condo to eat berries. Got some unbelievable pictures! We also did a four hour ATV tour (in the buggy) and I truly believe that is the only way you can see the countryside you see in many pictures. It was beautiful! Another advantage of the time that we went as the roads were not dusty since it had rained that night. We also went to Pura Vida gardens which is quiet and tranquil. We rented a car for a day to go to Manuel Antonio which was nice to be on our schedule. We loved Lemon Zest, the Taco Bar (great fish tacos), the bakery and the Coffee Shop. There were a few restaurants and stores not open during this time so we have something to look forward to on our next visit! We learned that to enjoy the many different aspects of Costa Rica you have to go at different times of the year so we will definitely be back!!

    My family and I had a truly outstanding time in Jaco, Costa Rica. The Condo was everything you see in the pictures and then some. You can't describe waking up to the sound of the surf everyday. My wife and I received a massage right on our balcony off of the master bedroom. Cathi, the owner helped us with everything before our arrival to include transportation to the condo from the San Jose airport. Ana, who works in the reception office was incredible. She helped us book everything we did from ATV rentals, massages, fishing charters, horseback riding (Rancho Monterey...highly recommend!!! Diego was outstanding.) and zip lining. She became a friend and not just someone to ask for advice. The condo was extremely nice. Everyone loved having there own bathroom with there room and the cable was good (even better if you know Spanish) but we didn't spend a whole lot of time watching it, it was more relaxing to sit out on the balcony with a drink and watch the sun set and listen to the waves crashing on the beach. It was also nice to be able to do our own laundry right in the Condo and not have to worry about taking them somewhere. My kids (ages 10 and 16) loved the pool and being able to step out of the pool and walk right out onto the beach and watch the constant wave of surfers that are right in front of the condo. We also visited The Lemon Zest restaurant on about 5 occasion during our stay in Jaco. The owner/chef and his wife are truly amazing. We brought our fresh fish that we had caught that day into there restaurant and they prepared a magnificent three course meal for us. Everything they made was outstanding....you almost want to go back to Jaco just to eat at this restaurant again. We had a very good time in Jaco and when we weren't out taking in all that Costa Rica has to offer, we were relaxing on the balcony enjoying the scenery. If fishing is your thing (we went on 4 charters while on our vacation) I highly recommend "Stay in Costa Rica" and especially the crews of the Sunny One and Fandango. One truly outstanding vacation that my kids will remember for the rest of there lives. This Condo and the Diamonte Del Sol are a outstanding choice to stay...Highly recommended!!!

    We had the pleasure of staying in this condo the first week of May 2011. The pictures do not do the condo or the incredible views justice. The condo was as advertised and more! The rooms were beautiful and it was so relaxing to watch the beautiful sunsets on the verandas. Everything is within easy walking distance, restaurants, shopping and a grocery store. The condo is right on the beach so in the morning you can just roll out of bed grab your coffee and take a stroll.The owner Cathi was very helpful and we will definitely want to stay there again. Looking forward to our next adventure!!!

    Over the years I have used VRBO on several occassions to find places to stay during our travels. This condo is clearly one of the nicest I have had the pleasure of staying in. Everything was as I had hoped for and then some. The condo was very clean with all of the modern amenities you could ask for. The views from the wall of windows overlook the Pacific were spectacular. Make sure you grab a nice bottle of wine to enjoy the outdoor balcony while taking in the gorgeous sunsets! I highly recommend this condo for your next visit to the Jaco area.

    Five of us ( 3 adults and 2 teens) rented this condo for the week of Feb 14th, 2011 and really enjoyed our stay. The unit it on the 6th floor and has an incredible 180+ degree view of Jaco Beach. Sitting on the balcony and enjoying watching the surfers and the beach scene, while drinking the local coffee each morning was wonderful. The building and condo were spotless and modern. The pool area, just off the beach, was great for the kids. A 2 minute short walk took us to the main street in Jaco with tons of restaurants and shopping. ( We highly recommend Pili Pili for it's great cuisine .. had to go back again after the first experience ). Cathi, the owner, was extremely helpful in pointing out places to go in the area and arranging to have the fridge stocked for our late night arrival. We highly recommend this condo .. clean, cool, contemporary, close to main street Jaco and right on the beach ... what more could you ask for ! Short drive to golf to the north at Los Suenos and south to some other great surfing/boogie boarding beaches and Manuel Antonio. Great place, we can't wait to go back.

    The condo surpassed my expectations. We rented a car and traveled all over Costa Rica. This condo was excellent! Very Clean; great air conditioning; luxurious towels and beds! I loved drinking my morning coffee out on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We were in walking distance of tons of great restaurants. All were great food in casual environment, so I never had the desire to cook but definitely could have as there are several grocery stores nearby! Favorite restaurant was Wahoos! which had recently opened and not the chain. Favorite activity was the Zip line canopy tour and I am terrified of heights but it was truly worth it! We drove down to Manuel Antonio National Park/Beach and saw a Sloth, Iguanas, hermit crabs, raccoons and even monkeys! We loved having the pool on site (not crowded). The guards were very nice and the property management company (on site) was very helpful.

    I would highly recommend Jaco Beach to all my friends. The condo exceeded all my expectations. Every bedroom had a view. All the bathrooms were beautiful with stone showers and with glass shower doors. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for cooking. Plasma TV's in the living room and master bedroom was an added plus. But the best part of all was the patio over looking the ocean, where we spent every morning drinking coffee and evening drinking wine. Each morning we were visited by a group of very colorful Macaw birds who would sit in the trees outside the condo. The owners suggested zip lining and ATVing and was the hi lite of my trip. Would recommend "Lemon Zest " for dinner. Very good and reasonable. We didn't have a car but felt we never really needed one. Taxi's were always availble and inexpensive. Shopping and marketing was walking distance. I always felt safe and would love to bring my family in the near future. The owners were very knowledgeable of the area and always available to anwser questions. Can't wait to go back! Pura Vida!

    I have been to many beautiful, exotic places (Bali, Australia, Africa, Jamaica to mention a few) and I have to say that Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful places I've been to. And this condo is absolutely the most spectacular accommodations I have ever stayed in. The views from every room in the condo were unparalleled, the beds were very comfortable, it was spacious decorated beautifully. I can't say a bad thing about the entire trip. The Costa Rican's are friendly & helpful, & I never felt unsafe (as I was traveling with 4 other women), and that is important as a woman. We did many fun excursions, ATV'ing in in the jungle, zip lining, and a boat tour to the Tortuga islands. It was easy to find great tour companies close to the condo. I can't wait to take my husband & kids back soon.

    I just spent a week in this condo on Jaco Beach, Costa Rica and it far exceeded my expectations! The condo is clean, modern, spacious and beautiful. The rooms all have private baths and are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is large enough for several people to cook and not be on top of each other. This unit is right over the beach with views of the waves breaking and surfers having the times of their lives! It's right in the heart of Jaco, close to Boat, Canopy tours (Los Suenos Canapy Tours is AWESOME), and ATV adventures. We did everything and it was all first class. The pool is right next to the beach and was very relaxing. It's not a huge place so there were no crowds. There's a security guard on the beach to keep peddlers at bay. It couldn't have been more relaxing! I recommend this unit to EVERYONE! If you're on the fence about going, jump off and go for it! PS, the owners arranged transportation to and from the airport and it was also excellent! Everyone was pleasant and anxous to make sure all had a great vacation.

    My friends and I spent part of our last vacattion in this condo. The unit is nothing short of spectacular and we will be returning very soon. Cathi was very easy to deal with and the staff on site are wonderful. The condo is very modern, comfortable, centrally located, and the view is one of the best I have ever seen.
