It was very hard to find a vacation rental that was in a suitable location with all the must-haves on my long wish list. We needed a place spacious enough for a multi-generational, mutli-family retreat, that still allowed ample spaces for each party to go and have privacy. In addition, it was important to have a place to which one could momentarily get away from the the hustle and bustle of boisterous family (i.e. steps away at the waterfront park) and indoor/outdoor eating areas spacious enough for large gatherings. Luckily, I stumbled across this listing. The experience starts with the communication with the owners. Kecia was incredibly helpful with information about the space, possible configurations and choreographing of how I was to best plan this mini family reunion with logistics vis a vis family staying in a resort close by. SO SO HELPFUL! This was all--BEFORE I even signed on the dotted line to rent her place. So gracious was Kecia--right off the bat. Needless to say, it was super easy to send her my payment in full because you can just tell she isn't a vacation rental shark who tries to milk the biggest possible dollar amount from guests..and I DID feel like a guest because of all the available kitchen supplies in ample amounts; all the condiments and quality oils and vinegars and spices and herbs, PLUS-- THE FULL ACCESSIBILITY TO HER FRESH VEGETABLE GARDEN out back! <3. Tons of books, dvds and board games. Not scraps--COMPLETE board games. Hot tub with crystal clear instructions and expectations- thus able to use the gorgeous, multi-jet spa with confidence. Important to know is this: You can trust the folks who are offering their home to you. You can see the love in every crook and cranny with thoughtful decorating, design of the home and outdoor spaces. Still neutral enough to make it YOUR own as soon as you arrive. The location is not in the middle of town but not too far out. Our (athletic) teens actually walked into town once. Also, after a big fat breakfast at Blueberry Hills, a few of us decided to walk home from there.) Price for both the main home and cabin in the back is very reasonable for the amount of enjoyment, organization and cleanliness provided. Cabin alone is great for an agile and fit couple or family of up to 4.--stairs are solid but steep and path up requires a tiny climb up pretty, terraced grounds. Breathtaking views--never got so many "Likes" on a Facebook photo than the ones I posted from here : )Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stayed at the property for our annual family get together. The views are fantastic, especially while enjoying a local bottle of wine and eats. The park located across the street was great for lounging and water sports. We all enjoyed topping the day off with a soak in the hot tub and enjoying the stars. We hope to return again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My family and I rented both the main house and the backyard cabin. The main house is comfortable and well-appointed with just about everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The backyard cabin, though small, is big enough to be comfortable, and with the big window, a great place to view the stars at night. We shared the kitchen in the main house, which is big enough for both me and my daughter to enjoy preparing meals together. There are lots of games on a shelf in one of the main house bedrooms, and we made use of them in the evenings. The backyard is a great place to play Frisbee and have water fights. Everyday we enjoyed the lake, which is just across the road. Overall, a wonderful place to spend time with my family. I will definitely return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This location is perfect, as it is away from the crowds, peaceful and quiet, but just steps away from the adjacent city park, with handy beach access. The panoramic view of Lake Chelan can be enjoyed from the house and patio, or while soaking in the hot tub. If you like warm sun all day long, this is the place for you, but if it gets too warm, the shaded back yard provides a welcome respite. Inside, everything is clean with first class furnishings. We enjoyed our stay, but probably will not return, as we normally travel with our pets. A car is needed, as there is no public transportation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Lake Chelan is one of our favorite vacation spots, and we look forward to coming back to Manson every year. This house is in the perfect location away from the summer crowds of downtown Chelan, but still close enough to venture in to town for an afternoon of shopping. The kids love to take a picnic lunch across the street to the beautiful, scenic park to enjoy the afternoon and play in the lake for hours. It's in a nice neighborhood so morning walks are fun. The house is clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated so you feel like you're walking into your own home. It looks just like in the pictures. In the evenings, you can have a barbecue dinner on the large front patio and enjoy the sunset, cozy up to watch one of the many movies included, or sit back and relax in the hot tub. We like to have a family game night and there are several games provided. The rooms are of good size with comfortable beds, and the kitchen is spacious with all the appliances and gadgets you would need. The owners are accommodating and easy to work with. What's not to love about this place? We would definely recommend this place, and already have. We've stayed here many times and can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This is a fantastic getaway, clean and well-maintained, and constantly upgraded by the very helpful and friendly owners. Comfortable beds, well supplied kitchen, generously sized deck, and right across the street from a quiet, grassy park on the shores of Lake Chelan. We've been going there for years, from the time our college age kids were in elementary school, and couldn't be happier.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.
