I have stayed at this home several time and every time has been great! The hot tub is the best! The three story home is so cozy and the firplace adds to it. Great kitchen to cook in! Can't wait to go back.

Nice location, average accommodation
Nice location, average accommodation
We (a couple with an infant) stayed here for about 2.5 weeks in March. The location is peaceful and pretty. The trail along the river is only minutes away and you can walk for miles in either direction. There are also some nice little shops nearby including a decent deli, a post office and an antiques store. Some of the slightly bigger towns (New Hope, Frenchtown) are a short drive away. We were quite disappointed by the house itself. To start with it wasn't very clean (the floors in particular were very dirty - I didn't let my daughter crawl on them). We raised this with the owner and she agreed to refund the $150 cleaning fee we'd paid. There was also a LOT of food in the fridge and freezer. We had expected them to be cleared before we arrived. The result was that we had only limited fridge/freezer space which wasn't ideal for a long family stay. Overall the house lacked some of the "polish" we were expecting for the price we paid. For example, the windows had no shades, the back yard was covered in leaves and debris, a couple of the light switches didn't work etc. On the plus side, the hot tub was fantastic. As a final point, the owner withheld $25 of our deposit without any explanation and our email raising the issue went unanswered. Regrettably we would not stay here again.
