Well maintained newer home on 10 acres at the north end of Torch Lake. Close to Shanty Creek Resort, numerous golf courses, and quaint towns in Northern Michigan. The house has everything you need to a great week at the lake! The house sits back from Torch Lake road and is across the road from the private lakefront area. There is a dock for you to sun on and you can bring your water toys and leave them at the dock during the day.

very nice, clean, & roomy house. We had 6 adults & 4 kids (6-14) & there was plenty of room. House is newer & I could spend all day on the back deck. 10 acres surrounded by woods is hard to find in a lakefront. Very secluded & private. The bad: it is quite a hike from the house to the lake, & not an easy walk down the 300+ foot sidewalk with roughly 30 up/down steps. There is no beach & the road is between the lake & the house & the traffic is traveling at 40+ MPH(watch your kids). The back deck is about 3' off the ground & there is no railing (again, watch the kids). The owners boat was in the hoist & the dock is not designed to accomodate boats, as there are no "posts" to tie it to. We had to buy and install a "screw" to make sure our 22' boat was secure. The water on the east side of the lake is all rocks (mo0stly 8-10" rocks), so bring your hiking boots if you want to swim off the dock. The lake is beautiful & there is a nice, sandy public beach less than 1 mile by boat or car from this house. Hope this helps. Overall, very nice place in a great area but I would NOT recommend this house for families with small children. One more note: Be careful pulling a trailer into the driveway, as it is long, narrow & winding. We had to do a 16 point turn to get it turned around.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
