An amazing retreat!
The location was divine! Nestled between sea and lush forest, Nani Kai was the retreat of a lifetime. Close to anini Beach, Princeville, and Hanalei, we felt minutes from the best of everything that Kauai's North Shore had to offer. The infinity pool was an added luxurious amenity with the highest quality kitchen to create an evening of dining at home. We felt well taken care of as home vacationers. Mahalo!

Five-Star All Around
Five-Star All Around
The photos really don't do this property justice. It's better than advertised and much better than the pictures indicate. The view, the spa, the pool, did I mention the view? Gourmet kitchen, fabulous bath with overhead shower, large living area. The house is in a very upscale area of the north shore in a gated community. It's surrounded by a wild bird sanctuary which makes it very private. The pool isn't huge but certainly large enough to swim laps and there's a lovely heated spa. Just outside the front door is a Koi pond (the owners supply food, which became my daughter's daily delight...feeding the fish. The grounds and the home are very well maintained. There are many sights to see on Kauai but I can honestly report that you could spend a week or two here and never want to leave the house. My only suggestion to the owner...post more photos!

Our family stayed at this property from Sept. 9 - 18. We were completely blown away at how BEAUTIFUL the home, pool, grounds and views are. The layout of the house is perfect so that all 3 of the bedrooms have ocean views and everything you would need was provided. Driving up to the "see-through" house far exceeded our expectations. If anyone is looking for a great family home to enjoy in Kauaii, look no further, this is the one. We hope to visit again and again. We felt very comfortable and spoiled. Thanks for all the special touches.

Fanstastic house! Everything exceeded our expectations. We hardly left as it is was too hard to leave the lanai, pool and spa overlooking the panaramic ocean and mountain views. Everything about this property is first class! The layout of the house is so comfortable and gives so much privacy. We enjoyed the spa and tiki torches each nite at sunset and into the evening! It was our best trip we have taken in a long while! We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Kauai!

About the owner: We both love the North Shore of Kauai as it is a great escape from the rat race of the Mainland and even Oahu. We ride our horses and just hang at the beach most of our time on Kauai!
Why the Owner Chose Kilauea:
We fell in love with the North Shore of Kauai 10 years ago and have all of our animals there! We love riding our horse, hanging at the beach or hiking all the fantastic trails on Kauai! The North Shore on Kauai is a great escape from the rat race of the Mainland.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The privacy and beauty of the North Shore is amazing. We get up and pull the blinds to see rainbows, waterfalls, and the changing ocean with the whitewater on Annini Reef! Our animals are located just below our property, and we have so much fun spending time with them! The people of Kalauea are great. You must hit the farmers market in Kalauea on Thursdays at 4:30pm, the Ice Cream Store, The Fish Market and the Lighthouse Bistro. Also, you must buy the homemade banana bread from Kathy across the street from the Shell Station. The North Shore of Kauai is like going back 30 years but having all the good things of today!
