  AWESOME!!!! Girls spa weekend was just wonderful!!! We arrived at the cabin to find music playing and lights on... making for a wonderful welcoming experience. There were many extra touches to make us comfortable!!! You get everything reflected in the listing and much more.... every little detail is thought about for you!!! Very peaceful and relaxing, nice trails, creek and waterfalls.... A real nature lovers retreat!!! Can't wait to have a return visit with family and friends!!!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

  "What a fantastic 7 days/7 nights! I don't know where to begin... we started with a hike to the top of the mountain behind the garage along the fence line. The girls got half way up and the boys went to the top. we also found the "bear cave" up the trail. Followed the trail all the way to the end. We scared up a roughed grouse bus saw no deer or bear or turkey the whole trip. Heard some owls and enjoyed the diamond filled sky at night from the hot the. The well stocked kitchen made Thanksgiving meal preparation a breeze. The kids spent a lot of time at the stream with our dog Gracie. She had the best time ever! Our mini-van handled the road up pretty well. Although a 4-wheel truck is probably advisable in any wet weather. We took several road trips throughout the week, Chimney Rock, Hot Springs, and Pigeon Forge with lots of time for site-seeing on the way. Thank you for a wonderful stay. This place is truly special and would love to return in the future. P.S. The pumpkin bread was a great treat after our long trip from Florida".

  "Absolutely beautiful cabin, grounds. We had everything we needed and more. The dog loved the trails on the property. We hiked most every day: Lovers Leap, Max Patch, Laurel Creek and Graveyard Fields on the Blue Ridge. What a waterfall! We met so many nice people including a fellow firefighter at Trust store. We had to take our dog for an ice cream after making him walk 6.6 miles! We used the hot tub and fire pit every night but didn't touch the A/C once! How perfect. We are not looking forward to going back to hot Florida. Would love to stay here forever! Thanks for everything, we would love to come back! Owls hoot at night and the bear cave is cool!"

  "We have enjoyed our stay! Just not long enough but we will be back. Such a gorgeous cabin. Saw a beautiful yellow bird; not the gold finches we have in Wisconsin, but a finch of some kind I bet. I walked up to the top of the road this morning to where it became impassable and seemed to beating down again. The country is unspeakably beautiful. I saw all kinds of tracks in the mud going up, deer, small cat crossing a waterway [way up], dog, humans, and perhaps a bear print (only one and very small) so seems unlikely. Anyway, our visit was short but so wonderful. We will see you again soon."

  Perfect! This was the best Christmas present ever given to ourselves! Due to our older kids work schedules, we only had one full family day, but it could not have been better! The snow made everything magical! Just enought to make it beautiful. We love the house, love the setting, and all the amenities and special touches. We will be back!! Thank you for your impeccable attention to making Wilderness Lodge more than just a place to stay- it is a place to make life time memories. The fudge was delicious. Thanks! Loved, loved the Christmas tree

  We had the most amazing mother daughters weekend. The cabin was beautiful. It exceeded out expectations by far. It even started snowing while we were in the hot tub! That was amazing... We checked out the cave, too. Ill definitely be planning a girls get together later this year. We made memories here to last a lifetime. Thanks.

  Once again, we had a wonderful time! The setting is amaxing and Asheville is a great place to explore. We were able to fit in a little more hiking this time around, too! Thank you again for opening your home to us-we had an amazing break here

  Thank you for a glorious Easter weekend. Wilderness Lodge is a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the beautiful home to the peaceful surroundings, everything was just what we hoped for
