Enjoy a relaxing get-away at this quiet lake front home. Nestled in a cove on Lake Sinclair with dock. Pontoon Boat and Jet-ski rental available by several area rentals. Boat launch 1 mile away. Fishing all year around. Beautiful sunrises, sunsets(out front) and lots of stars at night. Yard is surrounded by lots of trees. Our home can accommodate larger parties, yet cozy enough for just one or two.
Play a game of horseshoes in the yard, relax in the hammock or sit out on the dock. Enjoy our lakeside fire pit area for smores, hot dogs or a nightly fire. Big picnic table on large screened in porch with ceiling fans. Gas grill is available (a charcoal grill is also available on request.) Enjoy the lake view from our screened in porch, 2 person swing out side, the hammock or our chairs by the fire pit or on the dock. Board games available. Bring your favorite DVD or VHS tapes for indoor enjoyment or watch one of ours. Cable TV and Wireless Internet. Local and 911 calls from house phone only. You may need a calling card as not all cell phones work in the area. Skype works from your laptop.
Go to dinner, movie or shopping 20 minutes away in the town of Milledgeville. ATL airport 90 minutes away. Tanger Outlet Mall shopping approx. 60 minutes away. Macon 45 minutes away. Boat parking/ramp 1 mile away.
Note to boaters, Lake Sinclair is a Georgia Power Lake and the water fluctuates during the day. Water is around 5-3ft in front of our dock and channel. We just had dredging done December 2008, 20ft out on all sides of our dock. Pontoon boats, in board/outboards and seadoos are all welcome. Lake has not been affected by the drought due to being a GA power lake. We do have low areas visible when water is low, but when the water comes in the fish are coming in with it! There is an island visible that brings in ducks, turtles, and lots of different birds. Children love to play in the low water area. Rental is available for a day or two,a weekend or longer. Rent the home 6 nights get the 7th free! Monthly rentals available off season.
New carpet put in 4/08 along with fresh paint in living room and halls. Dredged in Dec. 08. New face dock boards 2009, New Queen size matteress and Double matteress 2009. New Tin roof and screend in porch May 2010. Wireless Internet. Drive way has a round about area for those with boat trailers. New 32in flat screen TV in living room.
Crooked Creek Marina open for launching and parking.
All guests must take their garbage to a recycle place. There are 2 available with map at home. No charge. There is no garbage pick up at our home.
List of provided extras listed on the direction page. We give you a limited amount of house hold supplies to get you started, but must provide basic needs if stay is longer than 2 or 3 days.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Sinclair
As mentioned, we decided to rent the home when we moved to Michigan. We love the home and the lake/area. We want to retire there one day. Our prices are low and have not changed since we started renting in 2003. Lake Sinclair is a great lake. It is powered by GA power, so drought is not an issue neither is there a worry for flooding. They generate power between Lake Sinclair and Lake Oconee. We Love the quiet cove.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home is in a quiet cove. We love sitting on the swing or out on the dock in the morning listening to the birds and ducks. We are now enjoying our new screened in porch! In the evening we do the same thing, but listen to the frogs and fish jumping. We really enjoy having a fire in the fire pit and just listening to the quietness. You just don't get that in the city! The stars are amazing also.

HI, we are Jim and Deb, and Abby. We live in Florida, but lived in Georgia 15 years for Jim and 12 years for me. We bought the Lake House as a get away home for our weekends off. We both work for the Airlines and had to move to Michigan for Jim to keep his job back in 2002. We did not get to the Lake House very often. We made the decision to rent it out. It was a very hard decision knowing others would be in our home, but one we had to do since we did not want to sell the home. Renting has been a Blessing to us. We have had really good experiences and even made a few friends. It is fun hearing others tell us what they enjoyed about the Lake.

My wife and I rented Jim and Deb's home during the Thanksgiving holiday. I have family that lives a couple of miles down the road and the rental home gave my wife and I a perfect "oasis" away from our large family gathering. Jim and Deb went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect, and it was perfect! The home was super clean and the area is very quite which was what we were looking for in a getaway rental. I would highly recommend this property based on the house and the wonderful level of service I received from Jim and Deb.

We rented this lake house to celebrate my son’s birthday over the Labor Day weekend. Owners, Deb and Jim, were very accommodating and answered any questions we had prior to our arrival. Upon checking into the home, we received a call from Jim to see if there was anything else we needed or if we had any questions. This home was spotless and smelled fresh and clean! The amenities provided in this lovely home were better than a hotel, even a “full” size hair dryer. We absolutely LOVED the screened in porch where we ate all our meals and didn’t have to worry about bugs or mosquitos! We also enjoyed the boat dock where we fished and swam. The backyard was very relaxing and well maintained. Had it not been so hot in the evening, we would have used the fire pit. We most certainly would love to stay here again and highly recommend this home. Thank you Deb and Jim for sharing your wonderful lake home with us!

This was our first time using vrbo and I must say these folks made it excellent. They were professional yet personal. The owners checked up on us during our stay to make sure everything was OK (and it was). Easy to get a hold of, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The owners are good people with a wonderful home. We brought an 18ft bowrider up, it was great having the dock right out front. My father and I enjoyed our quiet weekend. The house was clean and everything was as they said. We enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch and talking in the morning. We also liked that Milledgeville was about 20 minutes away. Beautiful setting for a beautiful weekend.

AWESOME stay with everlasting memories!!! We arrived on July 1st & departed on July 5th. It was surely the best birthday ever along with celebrating our Country's birthday too!!! Two in 1 making it "Paradise Perfect"! Owners, Debbie & Jim couldn't make it any easier for their guests. They communicate very well from the start of planning your visit till your departure and even after returning to your home destination. They are so very honest even returning $2 dollars cash of overpayment. During our stay, we experienced watching the fireworks from the dock the entire weekend & even went to the local 4th of July festival at the marina that is right around the corner. (Less than 5 min) . Our boys (13-14yoa) never stopped enjoying the outdoors from sunrise to sunset to include midnight fishing catching large catfish, gar, brim etc. Even catching their own bait using mayflies. Husband & I enjoyed the lake kayaking and floating around in a raft. We did have a big surprise of a "beaver" siting along with Geese & Swans that frequent the lake. Accomodations are the best relaxing whether you are inside or out. Great "home away from home". This was our second visit and can't decide which was better, Winter visit or Summer visit. Both were AWESOME and we know we will be back. Milledgville is a great small town with Georgia Univeristy less than 15min away. It has the great "hometime" atmosphere. Visiting the local bee keeper was a great experience along with bringing home honey & bee pollen. I'm hooked on "bee pollen". Even visited a local dairy farm at a local farmers place. Watched how goats are milked & even feed them too! Photographers it a great place to capture those unique shots so don't forget your camera!! On on way home, we even stopped in Macon, GA to taste homemade peach icecream & fresh fried peach pies. www.lanesouthernorchards.com It's a great family place to strength your family ties along with making everlasting memories!! We just got back today after 4 nights at Jim and Deb's lake house and it was great! It was perfectly set-up and had everything they said it would. The weather was great and when the rain storms came through each night, it was great to just sit out on the screened in porch and relax. Having rented from other VRBOs, the experience we had making the arrangements for this house was one of the easiest, if not the easiest! Everything was very smooth, even down to a call the day we got there just to check on us! Thanks, so much, for renting to us... and we may be inquiring again this fall!

What a beautiful home on the water of Lake Sinclair. So peaceful, relaxing in a very clean, lovely decorated home-- a great get away from the everyday hussel and bussel. Located in a cove so there is not so much boat traffic one can just sit on dock, fish, read a book or just take in the peaceful atmosphere.

My husband and I loaded up with some friends for a weekend getaway and this place was perfect! We had several adults and some kids and we all had a blast! The fishing was great, I LOVED THE BACK PORCH! We also brought out pups and they had such fun! Deb and Jim were so accommodating! We'll definately be returning!
