Our Hutchinson Isl. condo is professionally decorated, with 2000 sq. feet living space and provides all the feel of a 5 star resort within a gated community. We are directly across from the tennis courts, the clubhouse, work out room and the resort style pool and hot tub. Our Florida room provides a breathtaking view of the Intercostal waterway where numerous yachts and sailboats often anchor within site. There is also a marina in the resort as well. The beaches of the Atlantic Ocean are only a 2 mile drive (or 30 minute walk) down the road, with the white sandy beach of the Intercostal Beach Park only a 7 min walk away. There are several relaxing Floridian restaurants including a tiki bar within walking distance where you can watch the sunset over the Indian River while eating your meal.
The newly developed Fort Pierce downtown with its waterfront marina and park is just a 15 min walk or 5 minute drive from the resort and hosts many eclectic shops, excellent seafood restaurants, the Manatee Observation Centre, Backus Art Gallery and Sunrise Theatre with many different shows and concerts. It is a nice, quaint town, with plenty of charm, having that old Florida feel without the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities yet they are only a short drive away.
You have easy access to the Ocean by way of the inlet across the causeway from us with plenty of opportunity to enjoy flats fishing, as well as deep sea sports fishing, SCUBA diving, or surfing. You are only 11 to 12 miles from the Gulf Stream, where you will experience some of the best sport fishing on the East Coast! The Harbour Isle Marina is a deep water on-premise marina, and of course there are several other full service wet and dry dock full service marinas in the immediate area as well.
For those who enjoy golfing we are within 30 mins of 7 excellent golf courses, including the PGA Golf Club at the Reserve in Port St. Lucie. Just 20 mins down the road you have excellent fashion shopping at Vero Beach and West Palm Beach with its high end fashion district and active night life is only a 45 minute drive away. We are 1.5 hrs from Orlando/Walt Disney World as well Fort Lauderdale and you can easily plan activities for the day there. The Mets spring training camp is a short drive away in Port St Lucie at Traditions stadium.

We rented the unit for three winter months months in 2013 and had a wonderful time ! The condo is extremely well furnished for up to 6 people using the pull-out bed and is equipped, with everything a family could need, and much more besides eg free phone TV & Internet, sports & beach gear , golf clubs etc The owner, was very accommodating, allowing small date changes with no problem & responding very quickly by Email to any request. Harbour Isle West is a very well organized & well run condo community with 24/7security & mostly year round residents. All the facilities are high quality and the buildings and extensive grounds are exceptionally well maintained. There are all the usual resort type facilities -pool, tennis, exercise room etc. plus a host of activities that you can get involved with. These include pot-luck mixers every Tuesday, bus trips to malls & casinos, clubs for books, knitting, cards, bridge, golf. You can even watch the dolphins & manatees or go fishing, right on the property. We enjoyed our stay there and can confidently recommend the property to potential renters. This is the third time that my husband and I have stayed at this condo and enjoy each time even more than the last. The facilities are excellent...from the gym location and equipment available, to the perfect pool set-up. The property itself is spotless. From the staff at the security gate to the office, to the maintenance crew, everyone is happy you are there and treat you like family. Walking in the area is also a huge asset. There are a number of people that walk/run every morning so after a few days, you have met several new friends along the way. The condo itself is beautiful. Very spacious and relaxing. It has everything you could possible need it. Did I mention the condo is very spacious! The restaurants in the area are never ending. Whatever strikes your fancy, there is a restaurant in the area to take care of that. In the condo was a huge binder with a collection of activities and restaurants to choose from. We went to two shows this time and again, the shows are within a 20 minute ride north or south with plenty to choose from. There are also several events going on all the time in the area, so you can relax or be as busy as you want. We are looking forward to going again and again. I would recommend this location to friends and family.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

The condo was impeccably decorated, clean and the attention to detail in making guests feel comfortable was very much appreciated. The amenties in the complex including the pool and tennis courts meant that you could spend the day focusing on your R&R and not having to use your car. The condo is well equipped with sports and beach fun toys and chairs so head to the ocean for sun, surf snd take a picnic. I would highly recommend taking an early morning walk across the causeway on Saturday morning to a slice of Florida, the Fort Pierce flea market. The owners of the condo provided clear concise instructions and maintain an up to date folder of tourist information and brochures for the area and surroundings regions which came in handy. The listing and the photos were an accurate representation of the property but the beauty of the complex and the flowers were more impressive in person. Hope to be able to enjoy the wonderful experience that we had here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This new, clean Tommy Bahama furnished condo in the exceptional Harbour Isle complex is hard to beat. The complex's pool, facilities and landscaping are also outstanding. We're going back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

About the owner: My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed our vacations at our condo and look forward to coming back any chance that we get. We find our condo and resort extremely peaceful, and our children also thoroughly enjoy the amenities which allows us to just kick back and enjoy! We have also enjoyed the fabulous opportunities to explore more of the natural habitat of this area. From petting Stingrays at a local museum, kayaking in the St. Sebastian River viewing alligators (yikes!) to walking behind our condo along the Inter-costal waterway conservation area and explore the tidal pools. We have thoroughly enjoyed learning more about ocean life, which is so different from our home in Canada!
