The recently remodeled custom home has special features and attention to detail that make it a cut above. The living area is roomy and the 4+ bedrooms make it an ideal home for couples, families, or a small retreat.
The home sits literally on the sand with only sea grass and driftwood between you and the sandy beach and water. There are unobstructed 180' views of bay, Taft headland, and ocean from all three levels of the house. Numerous decks and board walkways surround the house. There is a covered balcony off the kitchen that makes an ideal place for morning coffee. The house is situated on a flag lot and is nestled in the trees off the road to give a secluded and private setting. There is plenty of parking for up to 5 cars.

Wonderful stay!
We used Sue's house for a 4 night family reunion. It is beautifully decorated & fully equipped for every need. Lots of extras: a spotting scope, beach towels, toys & books for little ones. The nicest house we've rented in many years. Loved the backyard fire pit for evening gatherings. Highly recommended!

Listing was just as described. The home is beautiful with access to the beach, My questions were answered quickly. We love how close we were to some of the best seafood. Sea Hag's clam chowder is the best. Mo's has wonderful oysters. Our grown kids had fun taking our kayak to Devils lake and we all had fun crabbing on the boat. The weather did not cooperate but we had plenty to do and see, it didn't slow us down at all.

We live on the East coast and two of our sons and their families live on the West coast ... each summer we plan a week long vacation at a spot they can each drive to with their families (our grandchildren!). There are 12 of us in all. The house was great! Plenty of room and we loved the three sitting areas ... it just worked out great - we could see the kids but still enjoy some adult time and conversation. The open living concept was great and the kitchen a good size ... even with twelve of us, we were not bumping into each other! The best, however, was the location ... our kids range from ages 5 to 11 ... we could visually see them on the beach from the house and know they were having fun and were safe. The house is actually on the bay with great tidal swings ... never a danger of the kids drowning (peace of mind) ... but a lot of room for them to run, build forts, fly kites, play bocci, campfires on the beach with s'mores! Within two blocks there are hiking trails (we actually had fun losing our way and following the maps inside). The house is close to town, supplies, shops ... really a wonderful find! We did glass blowing, took in a movie, went to the aquarium further south, rented a crabbing boat, ... lots to do! Don't think twice ... rent this house!
THE SECOND FLOOR has an open kitchen, dining, and living area and have incredible views from the custom trimmed wall of windows. The wood burning fireplace makes winter days cozy and the gourmet fully equipped kitchen with views make it a delight to cook in. The dining area has a large wooden table that easily seats 8 plus there are 3 bar stools at the kitchen counter. The open floor plan is arranged in 3 living areas; sitting area in front of fireplace, cozy couch/chair area with a large view window, and couch and small game table/chair
area in front of flat screened TV. The vaulted ceilings, heart pine floors, tile, high end furnishings, and Art work create a comfortable and relaxing environment. There is a full bathroom on this floor for your convenience.
THE FIRST FLOOR has 3 large bedrooms, one with a queen bed and bay view, one with a double bed with a garden view, and a bedroom with a double and two twins with bay views. All the beds have quality linens and mattresses. The large bath on the first floor has a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower area. There is a fold out mattress pad and a pack and play crib for the little ones. There is 5th bedroom in an unattached garage that can be rented for $25 a night which is perfect for those older kids that like to sleep in.
THE THIRD story has a master bedroom suite with a queen bed with a great view, a spa type bath with a soaking tub, shower, double sinks. All of the beds have quality linens, and comfortable mattresses.
Watch the tide ebb and flow, spot eagles, herons and other shore birds, or take a hike on the nearby wetland trail. Stroll along the beach and dunes, build a beach fire, play in the sand, hunt for glass floats(Fall,Winter,& Spring), or watch the colorful kite boarders all from surrounding area of our beach home. The waterfront location is in a quaint neighborhood of small cottages and newer homes. This beach area is considered by some one of Lincoln City's best kept secrets-the beach is generally quiet. The neighborhood has 3 city parks-a children's playground, a wetland/woods trail, and a picnic park with a view.
The home is conveniently located within walking distance of an Art Gallery, The Bay House restaurant,The Beach Dog Cafe', Mo's in Taft, coffee shops, and a grocery store. Lincoln City Outlet Center, Chinook Winds Casino, Salishan Golf/Restaurant/Spa, Siletz Bay Marina are all within a few miles. A little further south is scenic Depoe Bay-great Whale watching in Winter months from here. Then 30 minutes south is the scenic Agate Beach Lighthouse, Newport Bay front and Oregon Coast Aquarium.
This Central area of the Oregon Coast offers some of the most stunning scenery and coastal views in the nation if not the world.
When I was growing up this section of the coast was advertised as 'The Twenty Miracle Miles'. The scenic views in this area are breathtaking and the State Parks are so numerous it is difficult to mention my favorite although I have always been fond of Fogarty Creek State Park as that is where I had my 12 year old birthday party. The house is in a perfect location for exploring the OREGON COAST or if you prefer to stay put it is ideal for a peaceful and relaxing vacation.

This was the first time we rented a home and we will certainly do it again. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures show. Your backyard is the beach and in the location it is in you can go deep into the beach without fear of drowning. The kids had a blast flying kites, making s'mores, playing in the sand and picking up shells. The adults had time to read nap and watch tv knowing their kids were safe on the beach. The house is spacious and has great little nooks for reading and catching the sun. The entire house has views to the beach. The communication with Sue was fantastic. I would recommend my family and friends to use this home for their beach vacations. We will be back.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We had the best time ever during our annual beach trip with our little grandchildren, and their parents of course. It was wonderful being able to walk right outside to the beach and not have to load the kids in car seats for a car ride to the beach or negotiate steep stairs. We all decided that we want your house again for next year.This is the first time we will return to a house. We stayed here for a weekend. It was my Dad, Sister and I's birthdays. We had 8 adults and 3 kids in our group. The house is right on the bay, and both kids and adults spent hours playing on the bay. The view was breathtaking. The house was very comfortable and clean. I definitely will be recommending this house to friends and family. We had a wonderful time over the holidays at this rental. The house was clean and matched the pictures perfectly. The owners were very helpful and provided us with all of the information for the house that we needed to enjoy our stay. We are big cookers and were happy to see a fully stocked kitchen and even two BBQs! This house overlooks the bay and it was so relaxing to sit in the living room and watch the tide come in. We were able to walk right outside to get to the beach, and I personally liked the "no shoes in the house" rule. It keeps the house so very clean that you feel comfortable walking around in your socks. We will definitely keep this house in mind for future rentals and would recommend it to others.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

The weather was wonderful and my granddaughter got to clam dig for the first time. The house was comfortable with all the amenities described. The views were beautiful. Would highly recommend this property to other familes, particularly at this time of the year. The owners were more than accommodating to our needs. Hi! I love your beach house and we had a wonderful time! The house is so comfortable as well as beautiful and staying there is so relaxing regardless of the weather. We had mostly sunshiny days but it was quite windy most of the time. The children do not mind the wind so much and it is great for kite flying with a small bucket or stick tied to the kite tail. We enjoyed evening fires in the fire pit and day trips to the aquarium, shopping, etc. Thank you so much for sharing and I hope we can do this every summer.Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: My husband and I built the home in 1990's and our kids and extended family have enjoyed many activities and special occasions here. We decided to build in this area because of the unique features of fantastic view, a sandy beach, bird watching, the ever changing tide, The beach is safe and was a great playground for our kids when they were little. Lance loves fishing in the coastal rivers and taking people crabbing in the Siletz Bay. I love bird watching, antiquing, hiking and just curling up and reading a good book. We had a great time doing a custom remodel in 2007 adding a 3rd story master suite, decks, and expanding the living areas. It turned out beautiful and we take a lot of pride in keeping our home in tip top shape.
