This adorable retreat is just a short walk to the HEART OF TOWN, THE SLOPES, & SKI LIFTS, with ready access to the Sawmill Creek Trail across the street and short drives to many other fine hiking trails and 14ers. A short drive takes you to Gold Medal water fly fishing, sailing on Lake Dillon, or golfing in Silverthorne, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Copper Mountain. Summit County and the Vail Valley is a bicyclist's paradise with close to 200 miles of paved bike paths and 400 miles of back country roads and trails.
As a ground floor corner unit, you will enjoy not only privacy but ultimate convenience. The main entrance of The Tyra Lookout leads you into an open floor plan that is great for couples, small families, or groups of four. Why the Owner Chose Tyra II
Breckenridge is our favorite ski town because of it's historic background and flavor. Breckenridge offers ready access to many of the things that brought us to Colorado. There are many 14er's within ready access, whitewater rafting, one of the most scenic bike trails in the country and a wonderful assortment of hiking trails to be enjoyed.
The Unique Benefits at this Studio
In the summer, the Sawmill Creek trailhead is directly across the road from our condo and is a pleasing hike along a beautiful, historic creek to a small lake. From there you have access to the ski trails to Peaks 8 and 9.
In the winter you can go out your front door, walk across the street, buy your lift tickets and take the Snowflake lift to access all of Breck's ski runs. At the end of the day, ski back down to your back door and relax in the hot tub.

This place is amazing for 1-4 people who want the most out of a cozy place with all extras! The full kitchen, the murphy bed, pull-out couch, and full bath makes this condo the perfect place for you and your family or friends. Plus you also have easy access to the 2 indoor hot tubs, or an even bigger tub outside so you can relax after your hard day of skiing or snowboarding on the mountain. Access to the condo from the four'oclock run is one of the best things about this unit. You can just ride on in after an awesome day on the powder, then wake up and walk across the street to get on the lift. I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants all the extras of a ski-in/out condo without being at the crowded base of the mountain. The owner was great to deal with and the whole transaction was super easy. so if your planning on visiting Breck..look no further, this is your spot!

If you appreciate walking across the street from your resort condo to ride a ski lift to the peaks and/or finishing your run at the parking lot next to "home," you'll appreciate staying at the Tyra Chalet in Breckenridge Colorado. The Tyra Chalet efficiency is warm and welcoming, located on the first floor of the Tyra complex. As you enter, a well-appointed kitchenette with bar seating is to the right, the queen-sized Murphy bed is secluded to the left, and the quaint living room with its convertible sofa and recliner is just beyond. A closet in the hallway to the bath hides a washer/dryer combo, allowing visitors to pack lightly. And plenty of bedding is provided for up to four visitors. A sliding door allows entry/exit from the living room or a view of the weather at the moment. The TV and DVD player can provide additional entertainment. When I was not exploring the town and Summit County I enjoyed browsing the Tyra Chalet bookshelf and especially reading a detailed guide to the County's hiking trails and remnants of the gold rush days. During ski season the Free Ride bus stops across Four O'Clock Road from the Tyra Chalet on the half hour to take you to the slopes, points in and around Breckenridge or to the free Summit Stage bus that services Breckenridge and other resorts in the County. The Free Ride bus stops hourly in the "off season." Or you can walk down Four O'Clock road and cross one street before you're in the center of Breckenridge at the Breckenridge Welcome Center and Museum. Are you seeking fine Mexican food? Just a short walk from the Welcome Center takes you to happy hour specials or a full restaurant menu. Hankering for a taste of award-winning craft brews and a pub menu? There's a brewpub you can walk to. Irish fare, a view of Peak 8 and a fire pit on the deck: another short walk gets you there. Or for a cozy night at the condo, gather groceries at the market or order from a delivery service menu. Need outfitted for skis, snowboards, snowshoes or a mountain bike? Find any or all just a short walk away. Window shopping along the Victorian era Main Street: a must. Muscles sore from hiking or biking or a day on the slopes? Visit the Tyra hot tub facility just a short walk from the Chalet. I found the Tyra Chalet so charming I'm returning for an "off season" visit.

The condo is a perfect getaway for adventure seekers or for those looking for a little relaxation. It's located perfectly above Main Street, so you can park your car and enjoy Breck by foot! The views from the condo are wonderful, but the views from the hot tub are magnificent. The property is perfectly maintained and the owner is very helpful in directing you to just the right activities to suit your lifestyle. I'm recommending the condo to my friends, but, I want to be sure it has availability for me too as I'll definitely be back!
