The Haven is a completely remodeled 2,400 sq. ft. 4 bedroom, 2 bath walkout ranch located 4 miles from downtown Alexandria, Minnesota. This home sleeps 11 in four bedrooms and family room: 2 queen beds, 1 king bed, 2 twin beds, a queen sleeper sofa, a full-size crib and a portable crib. (Need even more space? The Haven sits on beautiful Lake Louise, a calm 300 acre lake. Rental includes a pontoon and paddleboat. The Haven has large patio doors opening to a large, furnished balcony.
The main level of this lakefront home features the kitchen and dining area, living room with bar, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Throughout the main level, the floors are wood with area rugs. The living and dining areas are open and accessible.
The walkout level has ceramic tiled floors and features a family room, 2 bedrooms, another bathroom and a laundry room. The family room features a gas fireplace (with remote control), television, kitchenette with a second full-sized refrigerator, and includes a queen sleeper sofa and other furniture. Two double patio doors lead to a lakeside patio and the lake.
Outside you’ll find patios or decks lakeside, by the playground, by the grills or on the balcony with plentiful outdoor furniture, a charcoal grill, a Rainbow Play System and a fire pit.
You’ll have plenty of spaces to take your morning coffee and enjoy watching the sunrise or waterfowl skimming over the Lake Louise, a calm 300 acre lake with depths up to 33 feet. It is a great fishing and swimming lake. Fish for Northerns, Crappies, Walleyes and Sunfish from the docks or on board the paddleboat or pontoon (included in rental fees) for a lake excursion.

We were at the Haven June 12-16, 2011. The weather wasn't great but there is no controlling that! We found plenty to do otherwise. We wanted a relaxing vacation so we went for shopping, movies, extra naps, the kids really enjoyed the ping pong table, something different they don't get to do everyday. The house was spotless. Didn't '"smell" like a lake home like some places do. Big, soft, fluffy towels! When the weather did turn around, the boat was great and we even caught our share of fish. The only negative (and that's because I'm out of shape) was it was a lot of steps from the house down to the dock. Don't want to forget anything and have to make a second trip! Would definitely stay there again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
