Great Time, great house, great location
Great Time, great house, great location
House included all that was needed for a very very nice stay, location is great, very quiet and close to the beach. House was as described and shown in photos. House was very clean and ready to go upon our arrival. Only drawback was bed in master bedroom could be updated - little to soft/old for our liking. Neighbor was very nice. Definitely recommend this house to others. The locals drive a little fast on the winding roads so be cautious. Luau at Mediterranean Gourmet is a must do.

Very much enjoyed our stay.
Very much enjoyed our stay.
We had a wonderful (and long) stay in this beautiful house on the North Shore of Kauai. We found most things as expected. We very much enjoyed the outside shower and on one or two occasions the jacuzzi with a wonderful view on the garden and the moon! The house is beautiful. Of course, there is some wear and tear, but that is to be expected. Unfortunately the dish washer broke down during our stay. However, the property manager did everything she could to improve the situation. The only thing to really complain about is: too much dog left-overs (of the neighbour's dog) on the front lawn of the property. It would be helpful to place a shovel somewhere, so one can remove them. We had small kids with us and they normally don't pay enough attention where they walk... We did not tell this the manager during our stay. But I think it would be good to address it. Also, it would be nice to get the contact details (e-mail) of the property manager earlier (some weeks ahead of the stay). She would have been able to tell us that there are numerous toys and books for small kids in the house. That would have saved us some luggage (all the way from Germany...). However, the house is beautiful. The location is perfect on the north shore.I would defintely love to go there again.

Manager response: Thank you for letting me know about the dogs next door. I wish you had said something right away because we would have spoken to the neighbor (friend) and let him know. I have now spoken with him and it is resolved. Also apologize for the dishwasher, unfortunate after 3 years that it went out already. Sears closed on the island too so Home Depot is it! I know that Beaux, the prop mgr, did the best she could in the shortest amount of time. Also appreciate your suggestion of letting everyone know about the toys - Beaux must have brought them over because I did not know we had any! She is wonderful! Glad that you had a wonderful stay!

I wanted to surprise my wife for our 10 year anniversary as we eloped the first time and never really got a chance to celebrate our special day. We have three kids and are expecting our fourth in September so I decided this was the year to do something for us and Judy helped make this happen. Oh my was this the best possible spot on the island. If you want something low maintence but everything you need this is the place for you. We made the mistake on the first two days to enter Tunnels beach from the wrong entry point. There is a dirt road that takes you right to the beach and it's not a private drive. And yes it is literally a 3 minute walk. We kept doing the 10 minute hike the first day and thought we were just slow walkers. Wrong! And the house itself is amazing. It's absolutely beautiful and spacious. We grilled on the deck every night and watched the horse come up to the fence every morning. Even those roosters could not damper the mornings for us. We woke up and made hot eggs and bacon and didn't have the kids around to hamper our meal. Wow it was awesome! We didn't really the north shore. We headed into Princeville to the North Shore Conveince Store for some breakfast burritos and a RedBox at night. At night we sat out on the patio and just watched the stars over the mountains. Took a soak in the jacuzzi tub and my only complaint is that I did not do that every day! If you are looking for a place to stay do not look any further. You can't get a better location. Next visit we will bring the kids. That's in 7 years though when they can all swim. Thank you so much Judy for making this the most amazing week for me and my wife.

This was our families fourth visit to Kauai and our first time renting a home. Our expectation was greatly exceeded. Our three teenage children had plenty of room, the location is outstanding and the home was comfortable. The layout of the home is perfect. The deck was spacious and the family enjoyed the barbecue. The outdoor shower and jacuzzi tub were a nice touch allowing a continued viewing of the scenery. Without hesitation, our family would recommend this rental opportunity! We hope to be back before too long.

We love the location of this house, it can't be beat. The house is super comfortable with a fantastic kitchen for cooking. A great lanai for all our meals that took place outdoors. There is a charming farm behind the house, we got daily visits by a friendly horse and a few cows. The master bedroom shower and tub are outdoors which is a real treat, to be able to shower in the open air and romantic tub soaks with the beautiful cloud banks rolling in over Bali Hi. Things that could be better that are a easy fix, the bbq grill is really small which was a huge bummer for a big group like ours. The house is a bit old and needs some attention, broken screens and dusty windows and such. The lanai could use more than one lounger as every one battled over it. It would have been nice to have more comfy outdoor furniture to hang out on as there is plenty of room for it and the lanai is one of the best features of the house. Otherwise it is a great house that is well priced even in high season. I would definitely recommend it and come back. It's perfect for big groups as it has three bedrooms that are really comfy and lots of space in general.

Manager response: Thank you Annie for your response. Since reading your response, we have fixed all screens on windows and bought a larger grill and added one more lounge chair. We like recommendations so that we can please our guests. Preferably while you are staying there so that we can accomodate you. Mahalo!!
A perfect place to let the world go away and soak up all that the North Shore has to offer.

THE PERFECT PLACE
THE PERFECT PLACE
We are experienced VRBO renters, about 12 weeks per year all over the US and outside the US. We finally decided to see Kaua'i and research told us the North Shore was for us: quiet, lush, wonderful beaches and no large resorts. This house was ideal. It has a large great room and three bedrooms off of it. The master has an en suite bathroom with two sinks. We loved the outdoor totally private shower so we could shower in the sunshine or under the stars. The beach and the ocean are a one block walk. it has great TV and Internet. The kitchen is fully equipped with two sets of dishes, a garbage disposal, full-size refrigerator and every pot, pan and utensil you will ever need. The rear and all of the decks face pasture land and magnificent mountains. Soft rains at night and briefly during most days make for the lush surroundings. Birds of every feather visit all day long. Plenty of thick towels and a great washer and dryer all to yourself. Unlike many places, the permanent living neighbors are very friendly to renters. With ceiling fans throughout, it was never too warm or too cool at night. The sky has more stars than Hollywood and there is a dramatic sky every night. Even the property manager, Beaux, is top notch. Half a mile away is a terrific restaurant with nightly live music and great food. If you like life not in a hurry, peacefulness, a gorgeous setting and lots of privacy, this house will easily meet all of your requirements. if you want to be right in the middle of the action, this location is near enough for a wonderful drive to get to it, but withing an easy walk is the ocean and a very solitary beach. This is the best VRBO we have ever rented and we are sure we want to come back.

This was our first trip to Kauai. To experience all the island had to offer, we broke our trip into 3 stays-- the Hyatt, this home on the north shore and a condo on the beach on the south shore. Of the three places, we enjoyed the house the most. Loved sitting on the deck listening to the tropical birds in the mornings. Highly recommended!

When I first pulled up to the property, I thought.....ok. Then, when you go in, wow the house is great! Big open space, great deck, fabulous outdoor shower and tub! I loved it! It's a great house for families or couples. The master being on one side of the kitchen and living space and the other two bedrooms on the other side, all connected by the deck. It is very peaceful and relaxing. The birds are glorious. Horses, cows, roosters....the views, very calm and beautiful. The beach is just a short walk down the street, amazing views and wonderful swimming and snorkeling.

Spring Break Vacation
We were very pleased with our rental home...the description was exact. We felt at home, everything worked well and looked forward to coming home after a day at the beach or sightseeing. Would rec. this home for those who want a relaxing place to stay. The house was clean and the property manager was more than helpful on insight to the current weather conditions we arrived upon. Would have loved to stay another week. Thank you for making our stay perfect!
