    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house on Seneca Lake. The house was very cozy. The view of the lake is awesome. It has a nice deck. Even though it has country water, we didn't run out. We hope to rent it again.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

    Overall, it was a good experience. The one glaring exception was the TV's which did not work! We tried contacting Direct TV but to no avail. The local rep was of no help either. For our use the location was excellent!

    Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

    Owner response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We checked the TV out and it is working fine now. I'm not sure if there was an issue that weekend with the service provider but there is a power strip and a few settings that need to be utilized - it's all detailed on the info posted by the TV.     We have stayed at Watkins Glen for 3 nights. Everything was great. Nice rooms, plenty of place (we were 4 couples). Excellent view from the deck. Not far from all attractions including wineries, beach, Ithaca, Corning Glass Museum, grape U-Pick place, hiking at Watkins Glen park and other places. The grill outside helped a lot. We had a lot of fun, the weather was great. We would recommend this place:for a short weekend or more Boris plus 7 more people

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

    The View was the best!! Plenty of area around the grounds for fun and games. The Girls really enjoyed the game room with the pool table, since we are a pool team from Buffalo,NY Thank You "HomeAway" for your e-mails.

    This house was perfect. We had a group of 13 and used the barn apartment also. Everyone was comfortable and so impressed with my find. The large, partially covered porch was a draw for all of us even though the weather was less than perfect. Lots to do in town and lots to do right at Glen East. We can recommend hiking at the state park, the Corning Glass Museum and the cannolli place in Watkins Glen.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    Very comfortable home with an amazing view of the lake and town. This property also has a great location, just one mile from Watkins Glen

    The futon on the lower level was broken and unusable. Overall the house was very nice!

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

    Owner response: The futon was replaced the following day. Sorry about that, the previous guests did not indicate it was a problem.

    I brought a small group of friends up to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday! We rented the Glen Eastern house and the Bar Apartment. We had an amazing experience!! The Glen Eastern is a beautiful home, lots of space and IDEAL location!! We did a wine tour that Saturday, very convenient. Also, I had never been and I planned this all on my own. We had never been to the FingerLakes and it was a surprise for Jesse. I contacted Tom, the owner multiple times for recommendations-a B&B for the two of us on Thursday night before everyone got there, wineries to visit, limo services, etc etc. He was EXTREMELY helpful! I recommend this house and we will ABSOLUTELY be back! Thanks!!! Katie & Jesse

    Dear Tom and JJ, We couldn't be happier about our vacation at Glen Eastern. The house was perfect. The kids were happy just playing in the yard. My mother loved sitting on the porch watching the birds and lake scenery- and we all enjoyed the many activities and things to do in the area. We did the wine trail and your convenient location allowed us to do most of them while we were there. We must come back to do the rest ;-).

    Spent a week at this property and had a great time. The view is spectacular. Took a dinner cruise and was able to see the property from the boat - very cool! Will accomodate a big family. Location is perfect being very close to Watkins Glen and easy access to wineries. Highly recommend this rental.

    I just wanted to let you know our entire family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at you beautiful home last week. It was very comfortable and the views from the deck are stunning! We will want to rent the house next year the week after NASCAR race weekend again. Also, my husband spoke to you about the renovations you are making to the barn below Glen Eastern. Is this efficiency apartment going to be used as a vacation rental also? If so, we would be interested in renting it also for the same week. Thanks.

    We stayed at Glen Eastern for a week and it was one of the most beautiful, relaxing vacations we have ever had. Everything was as stated with all conveniences; and the wrap-around deck was where we had meals, and just relaxed while looking at the boats and sunset. We particularly enjoyed the wineries you recommended, and the Glen was fantastic. Thanks so much for all you did to insure everything went well for our little family reunion. We will be back, hopefully next year. We hope to reserve for the 4th or the Italian Day festival. Fireworks from your deck would be a true sight to see.
