The Hallelujah Hut was purchased in the Spring of 2001 shortly after we had purchased our main home here in Hunt. The angel logo was already in place on the front, adding charm and lots of blessings. This move was a down-sizing and when this adorable log cabin next door, went on the market, we purchased it in order to have enough room for our 4 children and 8 grandchildren when they came to visit. The 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other a queen bed along with a queen alternative and 1-1/2 baths provides sleeping for at least 6 people. The babies can use the pack-n-play.
As there was a lot of time when the cabin was not in use, a neighbor suggested that we make it a rental property, at least for the summers, and the rest is history.
Being officially retired for sometime, but wanting to stay busy, this rental idea took off and has kept us hopping with the marketing, upkeep, and most of all, meeting and making some wonderful friends who come back year after year.
Across the street we have a beautiful river park on the Guadalupe with access to fishing, paddle boating, kayaking, jumping from the rope swing or just plain relaxing in the sun or the shade with a good book and a refreshing drink.
The cooler months are fabulous in front of the fireplace. Both the front porch swing or the private patio are quiet and cozy for your morning coffee as the Hill Country comes alive.

Start to finish this experience was an absolute joy... Bonnie was so easy to work with. Her pleasant and professional manner made this last minute trip one to remember. We arrived late, the light was left on for us, fresh baked goods and stocked refrigerator was just icing on the already sweet cake. The accommodations were more than fabulous.. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We loved staying at the Hallelujah Hut these past 4 days and nights! Our biggest regret is that we didn't get to spend as much time here as we would have liked. This was a wonderful place for our family and we appreciate everything you did to make this week so much better for David, Shadow and me than it would have been any were else. About the owner: My husband and I re-married in our senior years, he sold his property near Houston and we moved to the beautiful Texas Hill Country to enjoy our retirement and be near my two siblings. We have been married 10 years and have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. They all love coming to play in river and we love making the memories!
Why the Owner Chose Hunt:
Two weeks after moving to Hunt, our neighbors decided to sell their 'get-away cabin', so we made the decision to enlarge our home but under a different roof. A different neighbor suggested we make it into a rental property when our family was not visiting and the rest is history.
The Unique Benefits at this Bed And Breakfast:
The winding Guadalupe river is across the street and is very peaceful and serene. There is a front porch swing great for early risers to enjoy their coffee, completely private patio for relaxing or cooking outside. Our guest who regularly walk, enjoy walking down the road, usually no traffic in early or late hours. Very close to popular 'river spots'.
