We had the great fortune of staying in the loft studio suite. The place was amazing. The pictures on this website of the suite and the view you get right outside your window do not do it justice. We (two girls and a really big dog) just loved it here. The suite was so wonderfully furnished and decorated. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked and ate in for all our meals. The large property itself is so gorgeous and is just a taste of the natural beauty of the area. The hiking and exploring that's available is just indescribable. If you're a nature lover, and looking for fresh air, beautiful scenery, and some peace and quiet from your busy life this is the place to stay. If you have a dog, he/she will love you for coming here. It's a paradise for humans and dogs!. The locals are extremely friendly. We would recommend visiting Roche Cove trail, Coastal Trail, East Sooke Park and Whiffing Spit walk to name just a few areas to visit. Five days was not long enough to do all the exploring we wanted to do in the Sooke and East Sooke area alone. Threre are so many wonderful trails and areas to explore. We would definitely come back and stay right here! It was an excellent vacation....just not long enough!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

There is something magical about this place. We stayed here one week and had all kinds of weather, bright sunny days and some drizzle and fog. But somehow, whatever the weather, the atmospehere was relaxing beyond any I have experienced before. I highly recommend this place to nature lovers. We saw bald-headed eagles soaring over the water twice this week.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We loved our weekend stay nestled in the trees on seven verdant acres of waterfront. Our cottage, Toad Hall, has a spacious living room and separate dining area surrounded by huge picture windows. The excellent amenities are all brand new. The cozy kitchen is equipped with everything one would want in a home away from home, including a large barbeque on the front deck. Upstairs, the French country décor theme continues throughout the master suite. The bedroom is spacious with ample closet space. On one side of the bed, a Juliette balcony faces the ocean. On the other side, a door opens onto a massive deck perfect for midnight stargazing. The grounds and gardens are perfectly maintained with eccentric and imaginative appointments and secluded benches that invite you to pause and reflect. The property is secluded, private, and oh so quiet. It was beautiful in summer, but we could imagine spending a snowy winter evening there, relaxing in front of the cozy wood stove.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Had the good fortune to spend time here. The accommodations strike an ideal balance of modernity and rusticity, and the grounds are beautiful--verging on magical, in fact. Highly recommended. And make a point of enjoying the night sky on clear nights, too.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Everything about Kenilworth Estates oozes class and style except for the price. My wife and I have never before enjoyed such luxurious and relaxing accomodations while surrounded by such natural beauty. Do yourself a favour and book the Oceanfront Loft. There literally were no drawbacks! We will definitely be back again and again and again.Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I booked this last minute week's vacation, expecting a nice cottage near the beach. To our amazement, the cottage is gorgeous and right on the ocean, and from the deck we saw the most beautiful sunset of our lives. We could have seen the sunrise too but we couldn't get out of that comfortable bed early enough. Best mattress ever. I asked them what it was and it's a memory foam pillow top. We love the place so much we're going back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.
