  Wow, what a nice house. Very comfortable and inviting. Also, it was nice that everything worked! Excellent hosts and the house keeper was readily available, if needed, but she wasn't. The lower level really separates this house from most rentals. Lots of space to spread out. Great vistas too, and enjoyed all the wild life. Clean and comfy!!

  We just spent the weekend and this wonderful home on Lopez Island. It was a much needed mom's getaway weekend. We enjoyed food, wine and friendship in a place that relaxed everyone of us. We took walks along the water, enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, and even spent an afternoon shopping and wine tasting in little downtown Lopez. We will definitely go back!!

  What a great house for a writers' retreat, with abundant spaces to be alone or be together. Everything we could have asked for in a working/relaxing get-away place. Clean, comfortable, quiet, with a very short walk to the beach--plus a charming deer family often in the yard. Perfectly lovely. Harvey was amazingly helpful and accessible throughout the rental process.

  We took 10 family members and had a GREAT time. Close to everything, we learned the Lopez "wave", loved the Islander. Owner could not have been nicer when we had a slight mishap. We really appreciate that. There are hidden beds everywhere!!! House was filled with many commodities. They think of everything. We BBQ'd Copper River salmon in the banana leaves, which were there, the best we've ever had.

  We had 10 adults and 5 children 4 and under and the house was plenty big for our group. Everything went very well and all was just a s advertized if not better. The location is beautiful. Great views and very close to the beach. We spent time on Lopez as well as other islands and it was very easy to get around. I would highly recommend the house for a great vacation away.

  This house was extremely comfortable and Lopez Island was just what we needed to relax. It served as a great home base for exploring or just to sit on the deck and watch the resident eagles fly by. The lagoon in front of the house had some amazing bird life. The owners are extremely organized with all arrangements and everything was exactly as advertised. They even provided a portable crib for our new addition of 4months. We intend to make this an annual event.

  We had planned a short visit on Lopez, and were concerned it would not be a relaxing short trip. The home at Vista Bay turned out to be the perfect place for us and made our stay really comfortable, easy, and perfect. The house had everything - a short walk to a long beach with incredible scenic views, easy access to town, and every extra that we wanted. The kitchen was so well appointed, we chose to cook our own fresh seafood for a relaxing evening with friends, rather than go to a restuarant. I can't say enough about the comforts offered by this vacation rental.

  This property was perfectly represented in the description and photos. The house is immaculate and so well-maintained it's hard to believe it's a rental. No expense was spared in choosing all the amenities: the linens, the kitchen equipment, the furniture, etc. Everything is well-stocked and thoughtfully presented. The main area (kitchen/living room) is one big open space. There is a sliding door leading to a deck with chairs and gas grill. The water views are incredible. Then there is a separate, large den next to the living room that is great for TV watching, kid play, etc. The 3 bedrooms are next to the full bath and are serene and clean. There is a very large downstairs garden room with huge living space, kitchen, full bath and bed. It's amazing (and optional depending on number of people in your party). There is a sliding door out to the yard from there which provides a separate entrance. The yard is really big and so fun to play in with kids. The owner provides many outdoor toys. The other HUGE plus to this house is its proximity to the beach... you can walk to it in 3 minutes. It's a rocky beach and fun to walk on or play on with kids. The views are spectacular. The cute village with shops and restaurants is about a 5 minute drive. The house is perfectly located to many different areas of interest on the island. Having toured around the island a lot, we couldn't have chosen a better rental. If you decide this rental is right for you, you will not be disappointed. The owner is so organized, communicative and helpful. He emailed us a packet of information about the house and island before our stay and was available for any questions we had. He was just wonderful and so was his house.

  My family all stayed together in this home the weekend of 10/14/11. We had a wonderful time. There were 7 adults and three young children. The home accommodated us very well, without feeling crowded. It was very clean, had a laundry room, two large televisions and a fully equipped kitchen. The beds were all very comfortable. It is within walking distance of the beach and water and the nearby town had everything that was needed. We also explored the island by car and came across a park which, after a short hike, we were able to see a multitude of sea lions on rocks in the water. Really great! I recommend staying in this home and the area and also to get to the ferry almost an hour ahead of time because there can be a lot of cars waiting to get on.
