We were a party of seven which consisted of my parents, husband and our two small children and my sister. The house was a great size. My parents had the master suite which has an amazing view and nice privacy for them when needed. The other two bedrooms were very nice size and the beds were very comfortable. We put the kids in the futon room and they loved having such a great space. The kitchen was a good size. There were lots of spices and almost any serving dish or kitchen tool you could think of. We ate at the house for many dinners and enjoyed the view from the dining room table and deck. The house was very well stocked with towels, blankets, pillows, even toilet paper and sand toys for the kids. It was really nice to have the washer and dryer as well esp. with such a big group. The owner was super nice and always responded quickly. The only drawback was the internet was a little slow and a couple times did not work... that could be due to the location. Speaking of location... WOW. We were so happy. Just a short walk to the beach. We built a fire and roasted hot dogs, chased the surf and built awesome sand castles. Close by restaurant, SideDoor Cafe was YUMMY for our date night... not sure if would be kid friendly however maybe on the earlier side. Also ate at Roadhouse 101, really good fish and chips, fresh halibut much more families there. Also went to the Bay House, great lounge and food but expensive. Shopped the outlet a little some good deals to be found, no sales tax!! Went kayaking, whale watching to the lighthouse and tide pools. It was an amazing trip. We completely recommend this house!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
Owner response: I am so happy that this family had a wonderful vacation in my home. Having a beach house was a lifelong dream of mine, and being able to provide someone else with warm memories of the Oregon coast just adds to the pleasure. I hope to keep the home warm and welcoming for many more families to enjoy. Thank you. Phyllis

We spent 8 very enjoyable days at Ocean Dream. We didn't want for anything as the property was quiet, positioned for fine views of the beach/ocean, and was one of the best equipped rentals we have ever visited. Everything worked which is highly appreciated when vacationing. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook wonderful seafood dishes...all caught from Depoe Bay charters. The home will easily accommodate a large family or multiple couples...there are windows everywhere to enjoy the view. There is a Thriftway grocery store not far away which was really convenient. It was easy to rent from a very helpful owner. Also, it might be fair to mention that the home has three floors with two long staircases. I would highly recommend Ocean Dream!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you so much. It is always wonderful to hear that guests enjoy the home, and are comfortable in it. I love being able to share it with others.

This is a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. There is a well equipped kitchen and plenty of room. The best part, however, is the view. We spent a lot of our indoor time just looking out at the water. Both the main floor dining area and the upstairs sitting area afford wonderful views of the beach and waves breaking on it. It was an easy walk to the beach, as well. We had a very nice stay with no complaints.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It has been 8 years since our family last stayed at Ocean Dream and it is everything I remembered it to be and more. The house has excellent beach views from every floor and is only a few hundered feet from the beach via the street that goes past the house. Open the windows and hear the crash of the ocean waves or sit out on the many decks and watch for hours on end, your options seem endless here. The house is very spacious and the master suite is a dream with its jacuzzi tub for use after those long days of walking on the beach! The beds are like heaven, we all seemed to be well rested every morning. The house has all the amenities needed to stay for weeks if not months. The high speed internet with wi-fi was great and was easy to setup. Last but not least, the house is extremely affordable compared to other beach houses that we have stayed in. We are hoping to stay for 2 weeks next time we go. Thank you Phyllis for allowing to stay at your beautiful beach house. We will be back to make many more family memories!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The weather was chilly, so we spent a lot of time at the house watching the waves through the generous windows on 3 floors! Beach access was very nice, actually a road. You can drive right to the beach which makes hauling food and firewood for an evening beach roast excellent! We highly recommend the property, especially for families. We had 4 generations gathered there over the weekend. The only draw-back was lack of internet service but we found nice cyber-cafes in both Lincoln City and Depoe Bay that were free with a small purchase. Jakes just south on the highway was an excellent place to eat. We plan to come back and have already recommended the home to other family members.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
