Private Woodland Cabin, located in Nixa, Missouri, loft style!
This modernized cabin is tucked into the woods, which offers seclusion, yet is just 2 miles from town. An open loft upstairs, which has 750 sq. ft, TV, phone, internet, living area with a king sized day bed, king sized bed, coffee table and two comfy chairs. Need it quiet and dark? Black out curtains and nothing but the sounds of the forest to lull you to sleep. Two large sky-lights make for tree-top views, making you feel as though you are sleeping in the great outdoors!
The main level is 750 sq. ft, with fully furnished kitchenette, living room, dining area, TV, phone, internet, and full bath with shower, and also a laundry room. Decorated in comfortable luxury, with queen sized sleeper sofa, loveseat and comfy chair, it is fully furnished. Outdoors, the lower deck makes a fantastic spot to sit and watch the woodland wildlife, such as turkey, squirrels, deer and birds galore!! A huge firepit outdoors makes for great bon-fire and marshmallow roasts.
This cottage cabin would be a wonderful honeymooners or a couples retreat. Perfect for kayakers, float trips or fisherman, as it is just a few minutes to the Finley River. Families might enjoy the in-between location of Branson and Springfield, where Silver Dollar City offers amusement park fun! Bass Pro Shop is an amazing favorite retail shop, with locations in Springfield and Branson.

We had to be in Springfield for a week long Basketball tournament, and really enjoyed not having to stay in the city. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. Great place for a family or a weekend getaway for two. So peaceful and relaxing!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My wife and I needed a refreshing romantic break from the everyday grind, but we didn't have the time or money to plan a trip to some faraway destination. I worried that we were simply demanding too much, but we found everything we needed, and more. We spent two days and nights in this lovely cabin, and will definitely be returning within the year. I just can't say enough about this place. We have spent long weekends in other cabins, particularly in the Eureka Springs area, but this is by far our favorite! Where do I begin? One thing that stands out about this cabin is that the second you walk in the front door you feel at home. The beautiful woodwork from floor to ceiling melts away your stress while the clean comfy couches invite you to take the first of many peaceful naps! The layout of this cabin is wonderful too. The downstairs contains the kitchen, dining area, living room, and bathroom. The upstairs is like a treetop haven complete with a cozy king-size-bed, sky-lights, and massive wooden beams overhead. Both the upstairs and downstairs have wrap around decks, so you can relax and experience the wildlife. We spotted several white-tail deer during our stay! Everything is clean and tidy, and the owner has thoughtfully arranged the cabin providing every last detail needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is fully furnished, there's a washer & dryer, and everything else you might need for a more extended stay. My favorite thing about this cabin is that although you feel as though you are far off the beaten path, you're actually about 10-15 minutes from town! This was very convenient when I woke up early and decided to make my wife breakfast-in-bed. Just a short trip to the grocery store, and I was all set. Overall, this cabin is warm, inviting, and peaceful, and you'll be sure to leave feeling refreshed! The scenery is beautiful, and I would highly recommend this property for a romantic weekend getaway. If you're considering spending some time here, do it. You'll be happy you did.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a blast at the Cottage Cabin for our pre-Thanksgiving family get together! Roasting hot dogs and S'mores at the firepit and enjoying the family from far and near was alot of fun. Why the Owner Chose Nixa:
This property is located half way, between Springfield and Branson. It is about 7 miles from Springfield and about 30 from Branson. It is quaint and quiet, and since it is in the woods, you get the feeling you are truly vacationing, yet are just 2 miles from town.

Close to Branson, closer to Springfield, and just a mile or so from the Finley River. Private, quiet, cozy, yet is large enough to feel comfortable. Compare our prices to a cabin at Big Cedar, and you will see that this is a fantastic "We-Treat!"
