Lakewoods on Rock Creek is a private setting on Alabama's Smith Lake comprised of lakefront condominium homes and a handful of lakefront cottage sites and off-water wooded cabin sites. If you're looking for a secluded getaway, this is the place for you! Lakewoods is very low-density and located on the quietest part of the lake. Because there are only 6 condominium homes on the property, Lakewoods offers low-maintenance privacy without the crowds of a large condominium complex.
Unit 2C is located on the second level of the condominium building next to the lakeside swimming pool. The high quality interior include 10 foot and vaulted ceiling, fireplace, and spectacular waterfront views from all living spaces. The condominium home also features high-end finishes such as granite countertops, hardwood flooring, stainless appliances, and screened porch. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, the third bedroom has twin beds, and there are additional built-in bunk beds in the hall that provide 2 more twin beds. The community also has a very gentle slope to the lake and year-round deep water which is hard to find on Smith Lake. A pavilion, community pool, walking trails, a boat launch, and boat slips are community amenities already in place for you to enjoy.
With traditional country estate architecture that is sensitive to the environment, Lakewoods on Rock Creek is a harmonious addition to the beautiful surroundings rather than an imprint upon it. Stone and wood shake exteriors compliment the 13 acres of undisturbed woods. Construction materials such as natural stacked stone and cedar beams and a neutral color palette blend with the surroundings. Underground utilities, walking trails, and 1525 feet of shoreline also work towards preserving the natural beauty.
Approximately three-quarters of the Lakewoods community is protected in a "Forever Wild" never-to-be-developed classification; in other words, 75 of its 100 acres have been designated as a nature preserve-- land legally protected from development. The protected conservation area affords Lakewoods residents with an enormous amount of wooded privacy. In addition, Lakewoods is a stone's throw from Bankhead National Forest which continues the theme of legally protected land. The natural areas which include hardwoods, streams, and waterfalls, are used for wildlife habitats, nature and forest preserves, walking trails, and the enjoyment of the homeowners and guests alike.

We recently stayed at Lakewoods, and the views, accommodations, and amenities were top-notch! We simply can't wait to return later this summer with friends! The condominium home was absolutely perfect itself - left nothing to be desired. And I can't say enough about the views-- some of the best on all of Smith Lake! What an incredible place to stay! three nights was certainly not enough time!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
