Idyllic Cape cottage located at Sagamore Beach on Cape Cod Bay, less than one hour from Boston. This beachfront home is about one mile from the Cape Cod Canal, on the Plymouth side, perfect for avoiding the Sagamore Bridge traffic. The traditional Cape home is in on a large, double, 1/2 acre lot, with a private beach. An oversized back deck overlooks the sand dunes and the bay, and is perfect for entertaining, or just kicking-back and relaxing while listening to the beat of the waves. The home comes fully furnished, and in addition to the three bedrooms, there is a light-filled sun room with a daybed. Of course the kitchen has all the necessary appliances and is fully stocked, including pots for your steamed clams and lobsters. Step outside to the back deck and the propane grill is available to cook your steak, chicken, BBQ oysters, or whatever. If cooking at home is not on the menu, enjoy dozens of nearby restaurants.

From ages 6 months to 63, this was the perfect house for our family vacation! The kitchen was up to date and well stocked. The house was clean when we arrived and easy for us to maintain during the week we were there. And the neighboring houses were not on top of us! We had a wonderful week.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Couldn"t have been more PERFECT! Pix are very good, but the real thing is even better. A great 5 days! 6-19,to 6-24-11 .Good weather and and bad weather. Nobody cared. Great beach and house. Look forward to going again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family stayed at Sagamore Dunes the second week of August (2010) and we are still referring to the experience as our best vacation ever... The house was exactly as pictured, immaculately kept, and with more room and amenities than our family of five (three boys) needed. What the pictures don't capture is the incredible view and the feeling you get when you walk over the dunes and take in the great expanse of Cape Cod Bay. Miles of beach for walking and exploring, clear water for swimming and kayaking, and enough privacy to comfortably fall asleep on a lawn chair. We spent nearly every hour of our seven days on the beach. At night, we entertained some friends on the deck or traveled out for food. Plymouth, Falmouth, Hyannis, all just a 20 minute ride....the location couldn't have been more perfect. I would recommend this vacation opportunity to anyone, families in particular, but only after securing my own summer week for 2011. We are going back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This home did not disappoint for the week we spent on the Cape. Pictures on the web can sometimes be deceiving but not here! What you see is what you get - a clean, comfortable, well maintained home with everything you need; a FANTASTIC location (right on the beach, easy access to main roads to attractions/restaurants); and QUITE! We had some questions prior to booking and the owner was very helpful. Attended several Cape Cod League baseball games - what a great experience. Alot of "sunning" time was spent on the deck at the end of the walkway overlooking the ocean! We will be spending time here again and have already recommended it to friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Our 'Sagamore Dunes Cottage' has been enjoyed by family members for four generations now. The summer of 2010 was the first time it was being offered as a vacation rental.
