Annette is just a perfect owner to deal with. She is on top of her game. I have stayed in a many houses in Big bear and lake arrowhead, this was the best. Its new, clean and beautiful. She even had fresh flowers in the kitchen!! Most of all I liked dealing with her. She is extremely cool and easy going. We had a great time and for sure are planning to do it again in the near future. On top of it all, we left a charger behind she mailed it out on her own expense. We made great memories at her house. Rent with confidence!!!

Our last minute getaway from the grind with 2 other families with kids. Great location! 10 minutes from Arrowhead Village, right on the lake! We went to take the kids out to see the snow for the first time. We were lucky enough that a storm passed through before we came in. Sledding in the driveway for the young ones was great (you'll have to watch for the cliffside with tiny ones though), and the golf course is an excellent place when it snows as it is a peaceful short walk from the home where you can play safely in the snow, build snowmen and have the little ones slide down what was previously the 'greens'. The house is well appointed with a master suite that includes a 'steam room' in the shower. The views are serene, overlooking the lake and very quiet and peaceful with careful separation from neighbors on the large lots. We all had an excellent time in the short 3 days we were there. Annette was very accommodating and very helpful throughout our trip. One note for winter travelers, the house is on a slope and we had some issues getting in and out as we were not accustomed to driving around on ice/snow conditions (likely due to our lack of experience). We had a Rx300 and Sienna with chains and had issues getting in and out. A little slipping and sliding. While the main roads are well taken care of, the side roads can be hairy if you don't know what you're doing. Be sure to salt/shovel before getting in and out and bring chains in case. If you're worried about it, best to park by the inactive firehydrant at the top of the road. We are all looking forward to our next trip out there!

We had such a relaxing stay a few weeks ago at this gorgeous home. You just want to sit and stare out any window or deck at the fantastic views of the lake, and different variety of birds. We can't wait to come back for all the seasons of the year. Yes, the owner lives in the house, but unlike the 3-star review person, we appreciated that it had EVERY appliance we could imagine in the kitchen, and the half eaten food in the fridge, I think they must have been talking about the condiments?!? We used them, and appreciated not having to buy little things like mustard, ketchup & tobasco sauce. We actually had plenty of closet & drawer space to accommodate any space we needed in each bedroom, so that person sure likes to exaggerate saying there was "none". I believe they should stick to hotels if they want absolutely empty closets, they might be happier. We will be back with bells on!!

Our family had a lovely time recently at this property. The house is spacious and beautiful and the views of the lake from both the living and master bedroom are incredible. It feels private and serene. We were there with our 14 month old daughter who really enjoyed feeding the ducks at a little park about a 5-10 minute walk away, as well as the beach at the nearby beach clubs that the house gives you access to. There are porch swings on both levels, which was a wonderful spot to enjoy a drink and admire the view. We inadvertently left something at the house and Annette was so kind to overnight it to us at no charge. We did need to move breakable items out of reach and block the entry to the stairs as the house is not babyproofed, but it did not pose a problem. We would definitely recommend this property to others!

Owner response: Thank you so much for such a nice review!!! Always so appreciated! Please come up and enjoy property again, fall and winter are lovely. Take Care, Annette

This place was simply the perfect getaway for my husband's 30th birthday. The house has stunning views of the totally secluded lake where we could watch the guys fish all day long. They caught a bunch of bass and other fish which was really exciting. Its close to all the main shopping/dining yet far enough away from all the loud boaters. Annette was an absolute pleasure to work with and very professional and accommodating. Great for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend out of the city! Highly recommend.

Had a great time with our two daughters and their families. Kids were never bored. They spent hours catching (with their hands) and releasing tadpoles in front of the house by the dozens. Gameroom was well used also. We went to the beach one day and found a tree to get under for the adults and the kids headed to the water for the entire afternoon. Also had a good time at the festival where Elvis and the Eagles took turns entertaining. The local movie theater (to our suprise) had first run movies for adults and kids showing at the same times, so we took advantage of that. One of our best vacations with the whole family. Wish we could have stayed longer. The house was all everyone else said that was good. We'll be back.

We just got back from a 3 night family vacation at Grass Lake which is 10 minutes from Lake Arrowhead. We loved Annette's house and it fit our family of 12 well. We took our 2 married children and their families. The 6 grandchildren, ages 6, 9, 11, 17 18 and 21, enjoyed the fishing, hikes and going to the beach club. The younger ones had an exciting time playing on the edge of the lake near the house catching bullfrog tadpoles...that entertained them for hours! The layout of the house is great w/ the living area upstairs and the bedrooms and game room downstairs. We gathered to eat meals and play games in the beautiful, spacious upstairs and when the younger ones had to go to bed, we were not disturbing them. The view from the 2 decks and most of the windows in the house are spectacular! Annette was always available, by phone, to answer any questions, before and during our stay. She couldn't have been more accommodating. We had a very memorable time that we will all cherish. Thank you Annettee and Christian for sharing your little slice of heaven with our family!

My family which included 4 adults and 3 children stayed at this mountain home. Let me start off by saying this home is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views, lovely kitchen and dinning area, wonderful master bedroom, and large enough to accommodate everyone and then some. The only thing that I have to complain about or wish I would have known going into the rental (would not have rented knowing this) is that the owner does actually live in this cabin and all of her and her sons personal belongings are everywhere throughout the house. Every closet and drawer was filled with their clothes, every drawer is filled with their papers and other personal items, the laundry room had their laundry all over the counter, the master bathroom was filled with her very personal items, and the fridge even had partially eaten food left in it. I personally just found this very awkward and a little gross every vacation rental we have ever stayed at (which is many from VRBO) has always been empty of personal items except for maybe one locked closet. Also there was dog/cat hair on the couches, floors, even in the bedding (which I washed when we first arrived because I couldn't handle) If you can over look these issues the house would be a great rental and the owner was very nice and responded to all questions quickly.

We stayed at this lovely home from 4/1-4/8/12 and couldn't have asked for more. It seemed as though the owner was aware of our needs before we were. The home was bigger than I expected and accommodated our family of two adults and four kids under 9 with room to spare. The views were awesome in every direction, not to mention the lake it fronted. The home provided a wood burning fireplace in the spacious living room a perfect gathering place for the family. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the modern appliances. Our oldest son enjoyed his own bed for the first time and his two younger brothers were thrilled at sharing the bunk beds in the kids room. There were so many toys in this room that we often didn't hear a peep from them for hours. The home has a game room with pool table, electronic basketball game and darts for family entertainment. Outside were two decks both with gorgeous lake views. There was plenty of seating outside with an entertaining table and chairs, benches, BBQ, three swing benches(I couldn't get my two year old off the sling swing) and steps to the lake. The kids discovered a secret path and hiding place between the laundry room and the kids bedroom. The laundry room came fully equipped with an energy efficient washer and dryer. Our youngest son celebrated his 5th birthday in the mountains couldn't thank mom and dad enough. My oldest daughter came up for the birthday celebration and enjoyed the privacy of her own bedroom suite with private entrance. I found time to relax with fishing pole in hand for a couple days and mom enjoyed reading next to the cozy fireplace in the master bedroom. The master bedroom was a vacation within the vacation. It has Jacuzzi tub (also with a lake view ) which shares the gas fireplace with the bedroom. My personal favorite was the Aroma/Spa shower which melted every once of stress I brought with me on the trip. The owner provided maps and fliers on local attractions and points of interest. We found time to hit the outlet shops at Lake Arrowhead Village, take the lake tour by boat on the Arrowhead Queen, went tubing in Snow Play (Big Bear) and sampled wine at Jenson's Market in Blue Jay which is every Friday and beer sampling every Saturday. In all, this trip came at a time when we were at wits end and we found salvation, peace and Our family. Renewal comes in many forms, for us it was full of love, thankfulness and the pleasure of sharing this lovely home. God Bless

Our family (all twelve of us) have stayed in many VRBO homes, some with great views, some with great amenities; but Annette's beautiful home on this picture perfect lakefront location has it all. The best part was how Annette's welcoming touches made us feel like part of the family in this warm, cozy, albeit elegant setting. We spent most of our time just relaxing, cooking, and watching the little ones delighting in sledding on the newly snow blanketed little hills (just there size!). The bird watching was also lots of fun from the balconies. We would definitely recommend this home. Annette is such a careing and helpful lady to work with!

We loved it! This is the house we would have as our very own in Lake Arrowhead if we could. The view is amazing. My family with our two kids (3 and 4.5) had a wonderful time. The "mother in law" quarters worked great from my mom and her friend. We cooked and relaxed and enjoyed everything the house had to offer. Thank you Annette!

We had a group of 9 that stayed here for 2 nights. The moment we arrived everyone was amazed at how beautiful this home was inside and out. From the Kitchen to the Living Room and the Bedrooms, one could clearly see the details of how much care and love that has been put into this home. Not to mention the outstanding views of the lake and surrounding scenery. We spent some time at the private beach which is several miles away with the pass that was provided and spent some time exploring and shopping at Lake Arrowhead village. We kept busy and made good use of the game room and big TV in the living room. What an Awesome home!!! Annette provided great communication and prompt responses to any questions/concerns we had. Thanks again!!!

Our 3 day stay was exactly what we needed. We were very pleased with Annette’s home. The house was very spacious, offered top of the line amenities and décor; we were impressed. The game room was great for the teens and the kitchen was awesome and the huge windows provided postcard views! I can not say enough about the steam/sauna shower with the eucalyptus aromatic spray; it was a perfect way to end the day. The house is in a great location and feels very private. We enjoyed walks, fishing and kite flying without having to drive anywhere. We all enjoyed the huge decks with swings, dining area and grill. We ate the majority of our meals on the deck enjoying the serene view, fresh air and the most treasured quietness. The birds were beautiful, next time I will have to bring a species book because my daughter had so many questions. She loved the black bird that has bright orange on its wings. This house offered everything a busy family trying to relax, retreat and reconnect needs. Additionally, the Village had a live outdoor band, great restaurants and really good shopping; the COACH store had a sale the weekend we stayed and I got a purse for 80% off!!! I love Lake Arrowhead!!! Our entire experience was awesome, Annette was very helpful providing us with requested information and it was a true pleasure working with her to plan our family getaway!

My wife and 2 children (4 year old and 2 month old) stayed here for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed much longer! The minute we walked into the home we sensed the loving atmosphere and saw how gorgeous both the house and views were. We were looking for a clean and comfortable home were we go just hang out in the house and immediate surroundings and this was the perfect place. The home is highly upgraded. The master bedroom with steam/ sauna shower and Jacuzzi tub with fireplace were just what my wife and I needed to relax and forget about everything else. Although my son very much enjoyed the jacuzzi tub as well. We were anxious about our 4-year old adjusting to a new place and sleeping in his own room - but no problem because the second he stepped into the kids bedroom he was extremely excited by all the toy cars, the bunk bed with ladder, etc..and also that next door was a game room with basketball and a pool table. He was in heaven. And then there was patio access from all the levels to the gorgeous lake/ forest view. My wife and I would just stop as often as we could by the windows or outside on the patio and feel blessed that we found a place that reconnected us to nature. This house had the connection with nature. Then we loved the gourmet kitchen - great appliances and everything you could ever need in a kitchen- especially since we do not like to eat out that much. A very open feeling and well lit house. When you walk out back, you are right there on the lake. So my son and I would just feed the ducks or toss rocks into the pond. We never really had to leave the house or wanted to. But we did trek to the park on the other side of the pond where it had a sandy "beach" area and swings/play area for the children. The village was also very close. There is much more I can say about this house, but I would add that equally important was the owner, Annette, who is absolutely a lovely individual and makes your vacation that much more pleasant. She was very responsive and had a bottle of sparking wine in the fridge for us - we really enjoyed it - great taste! Almost forgot, but plenty of board games and puzzles and delightful fireplace. I can't imagine how anybody would not enjoy their say here! God bless.

We were two familes that enjoyed this wonderful home over the Easter weekend. Annette, the owner, had done a great job in welcoming us with her personal touch. The deor was elegant yet casual, and we felt like we were in a home and not a rental property. The open floor plan with the large kitchen and family room were ideal for entertaining our big family and the deck overlooking the lake was the perfect place to enjoy the morning coffee. The views from this newly built house are beautiful and we would highly recommend this house for anyone who wants to have a quite weekend with family or friends in Lake Arrowhead. The gourmet kitchen with the huge center island was perfect for entertaining everyone and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary appliances. The game room with the pool table was really fun to have and the bedrooms were nicely decorated. Annette, the owner of the property was very responsive and helpful. She was a sweetheart and we communicated really well with her. Her kindness made us feel at home. Annette, thank you for sharing your wonderful house with us. My girlfriend and I had two other couples drive up to spend an extended weekend. Beautiful weather, beautiful view and just 15 minutes to the Village. We took the short drive to celebrate Oktoberfest and came bake and cooked a feast for plenty in the beautiful kitchen. Wide open living room and kitchen area makes for a great social weekend. The numerous sleeping arrangements are great options for multiple people. The amazing jacuzzi tub and steam shower in the master bath were great! Good way to decompress after a long afternoon. Beautiful house on a secluded little corner of a cute little lake. Great time!

We spent 3 relaxing days in this home with two other couples this past weekend and all of us agree, "a beautiful home with a beautiful view of the lake and golf course." The home is designed with comfort and carefree times in mind. Large screen LCD TV, pool table, darts... Oh sorry Annette, we broke a couple plastic shanks on the darts but we had a great time playing. The kitchen is well appointed with new appliances and lots of space for our wonderful ladies to chop, mix and do what they do so well inside a kitchen. Bedrooms are so comfortable you will feel at ease unlike many hotels I have stayed at. We enjoyed walking through the community and sitting by the lake watching Charles and Vic, our good fishermen trying to catch fish. Better luck next time Charles and Vic hahaha. Also there are two decks, a good size BBQ (we didn't use the bbq though ;( maybe next time.), swinging chairs and a hammock out towards the lake for a lazy nap. I think anyone considering spending quality time in a high quality location, enveloped by the peaceful nature of the lake and pines, there are few better locations then this. I wish Annette all the best for opening her beautiful home for ours to use to get away from it all for a few days. Thanks Annette Mike

Annette's beautiful home allowed us to have an exceptional lakefront experience! The warm, welcoming, and modern design of the home impressed us from the moment we entered the front door. The house was clean and spacious as well as bright and airy. The bedrooms accommodated all of 7 us and the beds were comfortable. A big hit was the game room with the ping pong table, pool table, and darts. We loved the balconies and the views from there across the lake. The location was peaceful and relaxing--just what we wanted. In my interactions with Annette, she was always so thoughtful and kind. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay at Annette's house again. From all of us, thank you Annette!

The process for renting a vacation home differs so much from booking a hotel room. Annette's attention to detail about her property and her prompt response to my many inquiries made the process a breeze. Her description and photos were a perfect match to our experience. The property was clean and very well maintained - It was absolutely beautiful. From the high end kitchen to the game room, everything was perfect. The lakefront view from the master bedroom is spectacular as is the rain forest shower and jacuzzi tub! We rate it top of the list - wouldn't change a thing! We'll definitely recommend it to friends & relatives and we will come back again!!!!!!!!! Thank you!

We spent a lovely weekend here during July 2010 for our family get together and came away with one of the most memorable moments. This house is newer in construction and has a high end kitchen with a large kitchen island, stainless steel appliances, dark granite countertops, deep double sinks, etc. All of the bathrooms are spacious and look as though they were designed by a professional interior decorator. The main bathroom has a rain forest shower and a jacuzzi tub too. There is a game room with a pool table/table tennis, dart board, mini basketball hoop which made it worthwhile for the kids to play (they loved it!). We enjoyed a BBQ with their propane BBQ'er overlooking the lake, wow! You'll get an amazing unobstructed view from the masterbedroom too. The decks are spacious and we enjoyed the rocking love chairs and seats. It makes for a romantic setting to say the least. The house is very close to Lake Arrowhead (maybe 5 min drive) and the Village (10 mins drive). This house is very clean and Annette the owner was always available to answer our questions via email or cell. The location of the house is nestled among very beautiful homes and is within the compounds of the Lake Arrowhead Country Club. We highly recommend staying at this house. We have stayed at many homes, villas, hotels, etc , and would consider this our top 5 destination. Thanks Annette for all your help!
