This cottage is a cozy little house, ideal for rest and relaxation. Point Roberts is a wonderful place with majestic wildlife and friendly people, including the owner of the cottage. One the one hand, she will respect your privacy completely, but should you have a mind to ask, she can tell you all about the history, geography, flora and fauna. Not to mention the history built into the cottage itself, including the art and other curios that decorate it. This is no bare hotel-like accommodation with minimal furnishings; there's lots of usable stuff, including a small but fully furnished kitchen with plug-in cooking appliances, dishes and utensils, plus plenty of furniture. A great base from which to explore the Point, or just to relax and think.Recommended for: Sightseeing.
Owner response: Always pleased to have such a pleasant guest. Nice that some people stay through for a good length of time, especially during the winter months. Beautiful, quiet and still during that time.

I thoroughly enjoyed the two weeks I spent at this lovely garden cottage in early September. The location is off the beaten track so one can pursue relaxing activities, yet close enough to Vancouver to take advantage of the arts/culture that a big city affords. And the beaches, strait, forests and trails offer enough variety for the physically active. I loved that I could pick wild blackberries, and make cobbler in the well-equipped kitchen. The owner is very congenial and very helpful with suggestions for activities. The Point also offers a couple good dining out options. I'm very glad I chose Point Roberts for my vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: It is a pleasure when a renter like this avid biker take advantage of discovering the beauty of the "Point". When guest arrive with bike and kayak on their vehicles, I know they are here for a good time. There are very few vacation spots, such as this exceptional peninsula, where over 50% of the land mass is designated as National Park, and at all of its 4 corners. To explore the nature, and quiet of the area, returning to reflect in the Garden Cottage is a great way to restore the soul. It is delightful when I hear these guest say they will be returning later in the year or another vacation.

I spent 3 days at Point Roberts in this charming cottage. It's the perfect place for a quiet getaway. It was clean, and all basic amenities were provided. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen reasonably equipped so I could bring in my own food and put my meals together. Pt. Roberts is a place out-of-time, very rural, rustic and charming. Great for walking and sea gazing. It's a small oceanside village that got cut off when the US and Canada agreed on their mutual border, so be prepared to cross the border twice when driving from the US via Washington State. The owner is very hospitable and has lived there for 20 years, so she knows everything and everybody in town. She has many good stories to tell if you feel like being sociable. Bring books to read and a sunhat during summer; perhaps an umbrella during the winter. And be prepared to relax!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: This Writer of Novels, found this "novel" little town set in a Prestine Setting to possibly be a new inspiration, hope to see many returning guest such as this.
