Luxurious condo with spectacular sunsets, 3 ½ miles of private, pristine beach and a Roger Trent Jones, Jr. golf course - all in the gated Estrella del Mar resort community located just ten minutes from the Mazatlan airport on the Mexican Riviera. Mazatlan is only a 25-minute drive away. Visit the old historic center, dine at great restaurants, explore the Golden Zone and other various activities that Mazatlan has to offer.
Our new, 2-bedroom condo is beautifully and comfortably furnished and decorated, providing stunning views of the ocean and resort pool. Fall asleep to the sound of the surf in the master bedroom that opens to a deck overlooking both the pool and the ocean.
The 1250 square foot condo features two bedrooms with king sized beds and private bathrooms, kitchen with GE profile appliances, living and dining room, half-bath, deck with barbeque, and separate laundry room with washer and dryer. Our unit is on the second floor of a 2-story building.
Spend your days golfing at one of Mexico’s top rated golf courses, relaxing by the pool or walking the miles of quiet beach. For the nature lovers, watch the pelicans surf the waves or maybe catch a glimpse of the dolphins or even a whale.
Visit the turtle sanctuary and watch the release of newly hatched turtles back into the ocean. For the more active, you can swim in the ocean, boogie board, surf or fish. Horseback riding on the beach can also be arranged.
The Estrella del Mar resort also features a restaurant and fitness center located in the golf club house; Los Delfines Restaurant and Bar, El Courtyard Café, pool side cafe bar, spa and fitness center in the newly enlarged and renovated Las Villas Hotel; and a small general store.
Transportation to and from the airport and into Mazatlan can also be arranged. You can even make arrangements to have the refrigerator stocked with food & beverages prior to your arrival.
Other nearby activities include Stone Island and bass fishing at Lake El Salto, considered to be the #1 bass lake in the world and deep sea fishing for marlin and tuna out of Mazatlan.

My husband and I spent two weeks in this wonderful condo in February. Dave and Elaine are such nice genuine folks to work with. They truly have everything available for you while on vacation. This facility is amazing. Everything was spotless! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub daily. Everything is maintained with perfection inside and out. The beach was a favorite daily walk for my husband and I. The sand is very firm and easy to walk on. We even drove the beach down to Stone Island a couple of times. We enjoyed so many beautiful sunsets from the deck or hot tub. The pictures we took looked like postcards. We both are golfers and the golf course was as spectacular as everything else. The views and pictures taken near the ocean holes were amazing! The prices are better than in Minnesota for golfing. We enjoyed many meals at the nearby restaurants. The shrimp was out of this world. Everyone was so friendly. One night the band even sang to the Minnesotan's. We always felt very safe and welcomed. We also enjoyed our trips in to town. We did have a vehicle but if you don't arrangements can be made to take you to where ever you want to go. Having the airport so near was wonderful. It is so nice to get off the plane and not many minutes later you are on the beach and at the condo. My husband enjoyed his first massage at the spa. I know that will be an annual thing for him. Each day we got our excersise in the pool and walking on the beach so we didn't need to go to use fitness center. I would recomend this vacation to all my friends and family. We will be back again for sure - SuperRecommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We just arrived home and are already looking forward to a return visit! Estrella Del Mar is meticulously maintained and all of the employees were very welcoming and helpful. The food and service at both the golf course and hotel restaurants were excellent. Owners, Dave and Elaine, were so nice to work with and very accommodating. Their condo was immaculate, beautifully decorated and everything was in working order. The view from the balcony was fantastic due to it's close location to the ocean. One evening while watching the sunset we were graced with dolphins playing in the surf. It was amazing! Be sure to visit the turtle sancuary and enjoy walking for miles on the pristine sandy beach.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

I had the opportunity to stay in the first floor condo of Phase II (also a 2nd floor condo avail) as a single guest. This offered walk out directly to the pool and hottub which was user friendly to an older single guest. Unbelievable views of the pacific are restful and the sundowner views are exquisite and appear different each nite. Temperatures this time of year were in the high 70"s and at times the sun got a bit warm(could have used more clouds). The unit I was in was huge for a single with everything you needed. The rooms with 10-12 foot ceilinngs gave you a feeling of vastness, large screen TV's with cable provided was nice on the evenings you stayed home to relax, Ammenities on the complex included restaurants, golf and transportation as needed, trips to town if needed could be arranged. I did get some surf fishing in with numerous smaller fish easily caught and an occasional larger one caught by someone else.Beach combing was awesome with multiple miles North and South of the complex. Dave and Elaine are the complete hosts and their knowledge of the area will only help make your stay complete and very enjoyable.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+.

We found the condo to be just as described in the VRBO listing. What a great view of the beautiful Mexican sunsets! And the view of the 100 meter pool was awesome. The condo was perfectly clean and we had everything we needed and more, including access to high speed Internet. The owners have another unit in the same complex and were there if we needed anything. (which we didn't, but was nice to know they were right there) Dave and Elaine were such a pleasure to work with. Proximity to the city and the airport were added conveniences. If you love golf, long walks on the beach, a great pool and all the sun you can handle this is the place to be. We will be back again and again. Thanks Dave and Elaine!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We stayed at this beautiful villa for 2 weeks and wished we had made our reservations for longer. The villa itself and all the area around it are maintained to perfection. While we were there we did meet the home owners and they went above and beyond to make our stay unforgetable. The golf course is wonderful, the pool and hot tub area are the best. The pool has a bar you can use with stools built in so you can sit in the water and enjoy your favorite cold drink. I personally also took advantage of the spa in the nearby hotel and had a wonderful massage, which you can also have someone come to your villa and have your massage right there. The walk on the ocean beach is great, can go either direction and have a nice sandy beach to walk on. We will definitely go back again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Dave and Elaine grew up in Minnesota and relocated to Denver, Colorado in 1980. We have a family owned electrical contracting business. We are slowly turning over our company to our 3 children so we can enjoy more time at Estrella del Mar.
Why the Owner Chose Mazatlan:
We fell in love with Estrella del Mar on our first visit in 2007 and ended up purchasing our condo. We have never regretted it. We love the beautiful beach, golfing, and exploring Mazatlan. We chose to purchase a second unit in 2010 to rent and also accommodate numerous family and friends that come to visit. We spend a good portion of our time at Estrella del Mar so if you'd like to look us up we'd be happy to let you know some of our favorite things around the area.
