The south end of Ocean Shores is so quiet and peaceful, you may never want to leave! Note: We have the best beach down here too, but don’t tell anyone!

At night, kick back by the fireplace and enjoy a soft, luxurious queen-sized bed in the Captain’s Quarters, and let the kids (or the “other” couple) have the full-sized bed in the Crew’s Quarters.
LET’S GO TO THE BEACH!
Just Imagine Ship’s Quarters at Moss Landing:
Shiver Me Timbers, Captain…..am I on a ship or in a cabin? It’s time to set sail for your next Ocean Adventure! This beautiful gem of a log cabin was completed in 2009 with great care by its owners. Lovingly dubbed “Ship’s Quarters at Moss Landing,” it offers a unique, romantic, restful get away. Captain Jack Sparrow never had it so good!
From stem to stern, this rustic but elegant log cabin is reminiscent of being inside a great old wooden ship of yore. Step inside and you’ll think you’ve embarked on an ocean voyage as you settle into quarters fit for the Captain and his lady.
Warm, golden walls reflect the flames from the fireplace. Elegant nautical artwork enchants you from the moment you walk in. Sink into the leather sofa with a glass of your favorite beverage, pop a CD into the stereo, put your feet up, and breathe a sigh of relaxation as your adventure begins. The downstairs television is complete with cablevision and built-in DVD.
Ships Quarters at Moss Landing offers everything your “great escape” requires right here at your fingertips. Sleeping arrangements include the comfort of a queen-size bed in the Captain’s Quarters, a full-size bed in the Crew’s Quarters, and a futon upstairs in the Crow’s Nest, a lovely loft that provides an extra living area complete with its own TV/DVD/VCR combination unit (also with cablevision). A collection of DVDs, music and books is included for your use.
When it’s time to dine, you have a complete Galley at your disposal. Everything you need to cook your favorite seafaring food is right here, from baking sheets to serving dishes to wine glasses. Our Galley is complete with a microwave, coffee pot, toaster, full propane range, and midsize refrigerator.
After dessert, step right outside onto your deck, and you’ll really feel like you’re on the open sea as you soak away your cares in your own private hot tub. Should you be so inclined, there are non-breakable wine glasses for you to sip from as you enjoy the beautiful skies of Ocean Shores. You’re close enough to the ocean to hear the waves crashing onto shore, smell the salt in the air, and feel the ocean breeze.
Your pets are welcome at Moss Landing. We have a lovely yellow lab named Juneau, and we’d never want to leave her out when we go on vacation, so we have made our cabin pet friendly. All we ask is that you respect our property and keep your pet from doing any damage. Please make sure to take your pet off the grass to answer nature’s call.
The loft area of Ship’s Quarters is not meant to be a play area for younger kids, especially toddlers and infants. There is no guard in place to minimize the falling risk. Older children and adults will find the loft an enchanting area of privacy that expands the sleeping space and provides a separate entertainment area.
Ship’s Quarters is a non-smoking cabin.
Check-in time is 4pm. Early check-in must be approved prior to arrival. Check out is at 11a.m. An advance deposit of the first night plus tax is required at the time of the booking and will be charged to your Visa or MasterCard at that time. This is a non-refundable deposit! If a cancellation is made, the deposit can be used toward another reservation for Moss Landing within one year if the cancellation is one month or more prior to arrival.
Minimum age requirement is 25 years old to rent this property.Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Ocean Shores hosts several major festivals every year which attract huge crowds. Most of the vacation rentals and even hotels rent up very quickly due to the popularity of these events. Come and enjoy the Sand and Sawdust festival where people come from all over the country to compete in wood sculpture AND sand sculpture . Other popular events: Antique and Collectibles Show, Beach Comber Fun Fair, Razor Clam Festival, Spring Fling Arts and Crafts show, and the Festival of Colors, our kite flying competition. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin. There was some construction going on during the first day with another cabin, which took away from the quiet respite we were anticipating, but overall it wasn't enough to deter us from returning. A necessary evil of growth and expansion, I suppose. We will go back.

Owner response: The good side of the construction is that Ocean Shores is starting to recover from the recession! Our outdoor construction is all finished; the indoor work will be quiet, and hopefully we'll have our next cabin ready for folks to enjoy sometime this summer.
Great cabin near the beach
Great cabin near the beach
This cabin is great and is exactly as represented on the VRBO website. It is a very short walk to the beach which is not always the case at Ocean Shores. I would recommend these cabins to friends and we will definitely stay again.

Awesome Get Away!!
Awesome Get Away!!
This cabin was much more than a condo or hotel... A wonderful atmosphere with such a great smell! The beach was close, but the weather was bad. One day spent inside; we were not sad. A well-equipped hideaway With everything you need to have a great day! The pooch was very happy, Even when the weather was crappy. All in all, We had a ball. But now we must leave and would like to say, “Thank you so very much for a beautiful stay” Roy, Patti & Lola PS: We will definitely be back :)

When my husband and I decided to "escape" for a few days and walk the beaches of Ocean Shores, we really wanted to find a special place that was unique in some way, not just another condo or motel room. We found everything we were looking for and more at Moss Landing. The location is prime, since it's down at the south end of Ocean Shores where the best beach is. It's so quiet you can hear the ocean waves rolling in from the hot tub on the porch. It's only a 5-minute walk to the beach, so we took our two dogs down and let them chase sticks in the waves. They were delighted and wore themselves out, and then we all crashed in front of the fireplace and watched a little TV. The authenticity of this cabin was intriguing, as it is actually a log cabin, and it's decorated with a classy nautical theme throughout. The bedrooms really look like something from an old-fashioned tall ship, with the big beams across the ceiling and the wood floors, but the beds were REALLY comfy and had plenty of pillows. It was so nice to have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and even popcorn provided! In our haste to "get out of town," we forgot to bring any movies or music, but we found quite a collection provided for us, along with a few games for a rainy day. (It does rain now and then in Ocean Shores!) Up in the loft, there's a futon and more blankets and a REALLY big flat-screen TV with a DVD player, so we were able to have our own "movie night." The place was spotless, and it had everything we could possibly need for our getaway. We will definitely be back!

Loved Moss Landing!
Loved Moss Landing!
We've stayed in a few places in Ocean Shores, but we will definitely stay at Moss Landing again. Being a builder by trade, my husband was totally impressed with the workmanship that went into building this cabin. I loved how it felt so much like home (the bed was SOOOO comfy!), and our black lab, Burgandy, fell in love with the beach (of course). It was great having a hot tub right on our own porch, We even got to see the stars -- imagine that! Kicking back by the fireplace and sipping wine....doesn't get any better than that! Maybe next time, we'll stay at the sister cabin right next door. I also saw that they are building a couple of smaller cabins. Hmmm....family reunion, anyone?

This place is so great. We stayed in the other Cabin--the main cabin has a handicapp access ramp but the other one is stairs only and the main cabin has a loft but the other cabin we stayed in did not. The place is extremely clean and is well stocked with music, movies, a hair dryer, coffee pot, utensils and pots and pans...everything you can possibly need including a lot of extra blankets. It is only about 2 blocks or so to the public beach access. The roads around are paved roads so there is lots of places to take walks besides going to the beach. It is about 4 miles or so from the downtown Ocean Shores and is quiet. There is a little yard area and everyone was great about cleaning up after their pets. All in all a great place to vacation. Also, there was a little book for people to write their opinions of these cabins and there was not one negative comment. :-) Thank you owners for making this place available!! It's hard to find a place that allows pets and we have a Great Dane--harder yet. Check out this place. I will be surprised if you are disapointed.

Owner response: Thanks so much for your review. We are really glad that you enjoyed yourself so much in our cabin. We're adding some fun things this summer, like a firepit and possibly an old-fashioned game of horse shoes. Our home is always open to you (except when it's rented, of course!)
Nice, but some kinks
Nice, but some kinks
My review is for the sister cabin, the Windjammer (just next door). The cabin was spotlessly clean! The description is fitting, but there are some caveats: The cable is very basic (I get the same channels without cable, only the cabin has better reception). There is only the doorknob lock--I stayed on a windy night and the door blew open even though I closed the door firmly before bed. They could really use a deadbolt (even though the area seemed safe). The front desk staff wasn't very knowledgeable--I asked about an off-leash dog beach and they said there were none. In fact, there is one between the check-in desk and the cabin (between Taurus and Butter Clam beaches). Although, one worker did point me in the direction of good coffee (in front of the bowling alley). Even with a significant cleaning fee (I only stayed one night), there is a tip envelope for the cleaner. My hope would be that the owners/company would pay well enough (esp since they have the fee) that there wouldn't be a need for an additional tip. I would recommend staying a bit closer in to town, but this was a nice suburb-of-the-beach feel.

Owner response: Christie, I know it's been awhile since you stayed in our "sister" cabin, but I just figured out that I could respond to comments....and so I am! First, about the cablevision -- yes, we do keep only the basic cable in the cabins, and that's because the more we can trim expenses and still offer value, the longer we can go without raising prices. Even with the major increases in propane and utilities, we have never raised our prices since we opened for business. And we don't want to, either! Regarding the cleaning, yes, we do have a good cleaner, and no matter whether you stay one night or one week, we have to pay the cleaner the same amount. However, we did take to heart your comment about the "tip envelope" and we agree with you. You won't find any more tip envelopes in Moss Landing! We hope you'll come back and stay with us again. And spread the word...Moss Landing IS a great place to stay! And this year, we'll be adding some fun things like a fire pit with seating and possibly an old-fashioned game of horse shoes.
Wow, lots of fun. We have boys 5 and 11 and they loved it. Quick walk to the deli and beach and loved the hot tub! Will definately come back with friends!!!!!

Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: Hi, I'm Sonja, and my husband, Tom, and I built Ship's Quarters at Moss Landing on a piece of property we bought in 2006 near the beach in Ocean Shores. Well, actually my husband and our family did most of the building, but I got to furnish and decorate it! When I was 14, I found a picture of a little log cabin and taped it to the front of a notebook. I carried that picture with me for the next 20 years, always dreaming of the day I might be fortunate enough to have a cabin of my own. Then I married Tom. He and I have been building and remodeling things ever since we got married 12 years ago, but the possibility of building a log cabin was always there in the back of our minds. When we bought the property in Ocean Shores, we had an idea that we could build some type of vacation homes so people could enjoy the beauty of Ocean Shores, but nothing we could find really felt like the right thing. One day, we were talking about the property and what we might do, and we did another search on the internet. Voila, we found Conestoga Cabins. After researching and getting plans, we knew we were onto something. We contacted Rick, who is now our property manager, and told him of our plans. Once we finished it, he was amazed. He said he thought we were going to just build a little cabin, something like a hunting cabin, but this was SO much more. He loves it as much as we do, and we've shared our cabin with guests for over a year now. We are so fortunate to have had so many people stay at Moss Landing. Our guest book is full of heart-warming stories. We have our first cabin now, at last. And we love sharing it with people who are looking for an enchanting, relaxing, and original getaway. Bon Voyage!
Why the Owner Chose Ocean Shores:
We never thought a place like Ocean Shores could exist. A friend told us about it and said she had bought a lot to build her own vacation home there. She said that there were still a few lots available for sale, so we took off for places unknown.....and we were delighted. We bought our lot the same day we arrived. We knew that it was a place we wanted to keep coming back to. Ocean Shores is a quaint little community with SO MUCH to do. People from all over Washington (and further) come to do clam digging, beach combing, storm watching, and kite sailing. There are so many wonderful things to do. You can even go horseback riding on the beach. We have found the people to be quite friendly there. Although we don't live in Ocean Shores (yet) we have made such good friends just in the weeks we were there building our cabin. It's a unique place and a wonderful nature spot. You just have to be willing to share the roadway with the local deer population.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Ship's Quarters at Moss Landing is a place to wind down and relax. Enjoy the silence of being at the end of the peninsula near the wildlife refuge. Feel the ocean breezes as you relax on the front porch. The solitude is peaceful. Nature is close and palpable. Storms occasionally come screaming in, but you are always safe, warm, and dry in our rustic, cozy cabin. There is as much or as little solitude as you want. You can enjoy the hot tub, barbeque your favorite foods, walk down to the beach, kick back and watch a movie, cook a gourmet meal. If ever a cabin could be a destination resort, this is it.
