If you are looking for something super clean, quiet, comfortable and appointed with every thing you could possibly be looking for in a vacation rental (except the noise and crowds), close to beach, restaurants and shopping, this is the location for you. The kitchen is fully equipped, the furnishings and decor are attractive and comfortable, You can enjoy flat screen TVs on both levels, outside seating in front of the Koi pond, the swimming pool or upstairs lanai off the master bedroom to enjoy the evenings or mornings. The property and landscaping are impeccably maintained. The outdoor barbecue is amazing, not to mention the full sized sink, dishwasher, refrigerator and ice maker all available poolside for a barbecue. The pool is beautiful and a couple steps outside your door. The property is situated so you can enjoy sun or shade throughout the day and the cooling ocean breezes at night. This unit is nestled among only five others and so the crowds are non-existent here. If you need space to rest, refresh and regenerate, the Aloha Pualani fills the bill. The unit is one of 6 townhomes in this quiet complex across the street from the beach in north Kihei. First off I am a big fan of north Kihei for its central location - easy drive to Lahaina, north shore or Wailea. The unit is at the south end of Sugar Beach which is a beautiful continuous stretch of beach that runs for several miles all the way up to Maalaea - great for running on the beach or long walks. The complex seems relatively new (certainly much newer construction than the 70s era condo buildings around) and is very nicely furnished - the kitchen is modern and well equipped if you like to cook. The unit has 2 floors with the kitchen and living area on the lower and the large bedroom and ensuite on the upper. The upper also has a beautiful private lanai where we would have our own "happy hour" cocktails as the sun sets - there is a small view of the water from the lanai. There are 1.5 baths - certainly nice to have the extra bathroom. The unit was very clean and nicely prepped when we arrived. The common area has a nice pool and outdoor bar and cooking area - my only complaint was that the gas grill needs a good cleaning. The unit came with beach towels, a small cooler and some beach chairs. We really enjoyed our stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Stayed for 2 weeks at the Orchard Suite this summer and had a great time. The condo is very comfortable and clean, with all the amenities that you could possibly ever wish , has a great lanai and with an amazing saline pool in the front , and a lovely pond on the back. The property also has a great outdoors barbecue and a bar . I love the Aloha Pualani so much, that i have stayed here 6-7 times in the last 8 years or so , and intend to come back again next year. I can recommend the Orchard Suite to everybody who wants to spend some time relaxing in paradise !Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

The property is excellent from every point of view. It had everything we were expecting and we loved being able to cook and to enjoy the comfort of home while being in the middle of paradise. The property has a cozy feeling to it, the pool is very private and well appointed and the people that do live in the property are very kind and courteous. The condo (townhome) has everything you need, the unit is close to the ocean side so you can even sleep without air conditioning if you feel like it. The mattress and pillows are super comfortable and there are iPod docking stations at both levels of the townhome. I never turned on the AC, getting the island experience and waking up in the middle of the night to see the moon shining upon our beds was incredible. In terms of location, it is within very short distance of many of the nicest beaches of the SW coast (Wailea, Big Beach, Makena). There is a safeway and many restaurants / cafes if you don't feel like cooking. There is also a Farmer's Market a few blocks away which was such a delight. If you did not know this, Maui's fruits and veggies taste incredible and I would stress to any traveler to go for local products, most of them are organic and you will not believe the taste. If I ever go to Maui again and want to stay away from the hotel experience will definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

After spending the past week with our adult children and two infant grandchildren, my wife and I needed some quiet time before returning to the mainland and the humdrum of life. Aloha Pualani certainly filled our desires. The condo is in a quiet location, sparking clean and well furnished with everything you need including Macademia chocolates and orchid flowers to greet your arrival. The beach is just across a busy road so not good for children. It is great for walking but not for swimming as the wind was very strong for the few days we spent. All in, very good value for the cost.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

We had a very pleasant stay in the Orchid Suite. The locatin requires a car to get around but is not more than a few miles from restaurants and shops. The beach is close and great for walking. It is a little more expensive but we felt like the price was worth it for the nice appliances and living quarters. We will definitely stay here again when in Maui.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

If you are looking to stay in Kihei, this is a great unit to rent. We booked our stay somewhat last minute and felt very lucky that the Orchid condo was available. The booking process was seamless and I was emailed the codes to the property which was awesome since our arrival time was very late. The condo itself is beautiful and has all of the ammenities you will need. The bed was fabulous and we loved sitting on the patio off the bedroom drinking our coffee and watching the sunrrise and set. The property used to be a boutique hotel and now this is the only condo that is rented out. The other condo's are owner occupied and everyone in the property was extremely friendly. We used the bar-b-que almost everynight and it was such a picturesque setting with the outdoor lights and candles. The location is on the north side of Kihei so you will definately need a car to get to and from the beach and restaurants. The beach across from the property is not great for swimming but makes for beautiful morning walks. The condo has beach chairs and snorkel gear which you can take to one of the many beaches in Kihei and hang out. I loved how modern the unit was including two flat screens and ipod docking stations. We virtually had no problems but anytime there was an issue like the internet going out, the property mangager came over immediately and fixed the problem. She was awesome and great to deal with. Although this unit is a bit more costly than some of the other condo's on VRBO, it truly is a home away from home. I loved having a modern kitchen, two patios, a bar-b-que and tons of space to hang out in. There is a koi pond outside the unit and can be a bit loud if you want to have your windows open, but the A/C unit was fantastic and kept the place incredibly cool on the hot Maui days. Overall we had a wonderful stay and really loved this unit.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
