  We stayed at this wonderful condo for a week in January. There were four of us (two couples) and it was ideally suited for this (with two full separate bathrooms). The condo itself was fabulous, beautifully done and full of everything you could possibly need. The pictures posted here are exactly what you get, including the beautiful view off the patio. The beach in front of the property is also fabulous and we never had any problem finding chaise lounges or shade gazebos when we needed or wanted them. We actually did not rent a car, preferring instead to use the buses (incredibly easy) and an occasional taxi. The grocery store to the north of the condo is very close and a very nice store. We hope to go back to Grand Cayman soon and this condo will be our first choice of a place to stay!

• Paradise!

  My family and I stayed in this unit at Discovery Point. What a piece of paradise! This condo is so wonderful for a family. The layout of the condo is great, it is fully stocked with whatever cookware you may need, it is beautifully decorated and the balcony with the lounge chairs and table is the finishing touch! As a family of five, we all had our own space and it was so nice to cruise into the day and drink our coffee on the screened in balcony looking out to the beautiful ocean. We enjoyed snorkeling right off of the beach and cemetary beach, which is another great spot to snorkel, is only a short walk down the beach. The pool is great and the kids loved the different colored lights at night to light it up. The management and staff are top notch and are there to make your stay perfect. We will definitely stay in this unit again.

  Our family stayed in this unit in April of 2012. It was beautifully appointed and perfect for our family. The patio was our favorite spot to eat and sit out in the evening and listen to the crashing waves of the sea, which were practically under our feet. We loved the view of the cruise ships coming into Georgetown during the week and the ability to look down the lovely stretch of beach uninterrupted. The sunsets were also awesome! The kitchen and baths are completely updated and we found the beds and bedding to be comfortable and clean. When we travel and rent condos we really appreciate having a cleaning service to tidy up and bring fresh towels and sheets. The staff at Discovery Pointe is always helpful and ready to respond to any requests you might have. This past trip to Cayman was number ten for us and we will keep returning to this little piece of heaven. We tend to prefer the quietness of the location at Discovery Pointe, which is a little off the beaten track, but just a few minutes drive to all the amenities of Seven Mile Beach. The beach is more ideal for snorkeling than for swimming, but a walk of a minute or two in either direction gets you walking into the sea on powdery sand. The quality of the snorkeling right off the beach at Discovery Pointe is excellent. On our last visit we viewed sea turtles, sting ray and a few puffer fish. It was awesome. We also like the convenience of walking ten minutes up the beach to Cemetery Beach, where we believe, is the best snorkeling on the island. We will definitely return to Cayman and to this unit. The owner was very kind and helpful when we were booking.....and as a bonus, we were able to enjoy her beautiful artwork that was on display in the condo. Lovely!!!!

  We stayed in Unit #41 at Discovery Point in the spring of 2012. We were very happy with our stay. The unit is beautifully decorated and was very clean. The view was beautiful, in fact, you can see all the way down the curved Seven Mile Beach down to the end of the island where the cruise ships dock, and in the other direction miles of beach as well. The staff was wonderful, including the housekeeper, very friendly people and were willing to assist with various details. We were pleasantly surprised to find a lovely fruit basket waiting for us in the condo after we checked in; it was so refreshing after our long day of travel from Ohio. The unit is also beautifully decorated with the owner's art in every room. We loved eating breakfast on the screened in balcony every day! The weather was just perfect; we were very lucky. My 9 year old daughter and I snorkeled off the beach and there was a lot to see there! Also, right at the edge of the beach, in one area, are tide pools that my 3 young children loved to explore in. They found tiny fish, hermit crabs, a baby fiddler crab, and even a tiny black starfish! The sand on the beach is white, soft, and wonderful. There were a lot of chairs available at all times, and little shelter huts on the beach. The water at the pool was comfortable and clean, and there was plenty of seating at the pool too....no worries about having to go out and save a chair at 7am each day! The housekeeper had a "fish fry" on Monday night at the pool and plenty of people attended; she cooked the food herself and I thought it was a wonderful thing to do. All in all, I would stay here again without a doubt. My kids are already asking if we can schedule to go back.

  This was our second trip to the Grand Caymans, the first being from a cruise ship, so we wanted to stay somewhere on Seven Mile Beach and in a condo versus a hotel. We checked out several condos on SMB but the moment I personally spoke with the property owner, I knew this was the one. We definitely were not disappointed as the condo is on the third floor with a great view of the beach and ocean and only several steps to the water. The condo had lots of rooms for us (two couples) with very nice furnishings, and paintings personally painted by the owner. The beach had plenty of room for all those staying at Discovery Point Club. We never felt crowded but enjoyed conversations with others. Some of the best snorkeling I had was right in front of DCP with underwater photographs of rays, lionfish, damsels, butterfly fish, groupers, anemones, sea fans and other marine wildlife. Cemetery Beach was only a five minute walk down the beach which also provided excellent snorkeling. The Tiki Bar and Calico Jack's was about a 10 minute walk down the beach toward town which offered a nice outdoor atmosphere with great food and cold drinks. The staff at DCP was really friendly and always accomodating. We felt at home every time we visited them in the office. The grounds were kept up every day (minus Sunday) with the flowers always blooming in vibrant colors. To sum it up, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Discovery Point Club and really loved our condo. The fruit basket and sparkling wine we received from the property owner was a delightful surprise and we celebrated the other couple's 10th year anniversary on the beach Friday night drinking sparkling wine and watching the stars. We would definitely return to Grand Caymans and stay in this condo.

  We had a wonderful time at this lovely condo. The pictures do not do it justice- it is really larger than it appears in the photos. My favorite part though is the beautiful view from the screened porch of the ocean! The staff could not be more friendly, as well as the owners, who were very accomodating and helpful with every aspect of our stay. I would not hesitate to recommend this condo, and we will be back again!

  I traveled to CI with my husband and 2 sons for a quick end of summer holiday before back to school. I definitely picked the right place to stay! This condo is absolutely perfect. It is EXACTLY as portrayed in the pictures except that it is larger than it appears in the pictures. It contains everything you may need to enjoy your holiday from a well appointed kitchen to magazines and books to read on the beach. My favorite thing about the condo however was the original artwork done by the owner, Avis. You can tell this property is very special to the owner, and not just a rental. The amenities at DPI are meticulously maintained and cleaned every day including the outdoor grills which I used several times to cook fresh fish I purchased from the fish mongers in Georgetown. You can tell the staff has all worked at DPI for a very long time, and take great pride in their work. Every request was attended to promptly and efficiently, and the endless fresh towels a real plus! This property is definitely where you want to stay on the Island, easy to get around, but away from the hotel crowds with some of the best snorkeling right offshore and up the beach at cemetary point. Great night snorkeling! I would give my highest recommendation to this property for anyone that would like to have a truly refreshing and hassle free vacation. I hope to make a return visit soon.

  This was our first trip to Grand Cayman and it certainly won’t be our last! Our whole experience from booking the condo (the informative pack and helpful advice from the owner/the help with car hire from the condo management team) to our welcome home email from the condo owner just made the whole trip amazing from beginning to end. The condo is simply superb - meticulously clean, spacious, beautifully designed-even down to the art on the wall which is delightful and painted by the owner. The beds are extremely comfortable and there is plenty of hanging and wardrobe space- with lots of hangers too. The bathrooms are extremely well appointed and the fresh towels every day...a joy! The living accommodation is again well appointed and very comfortable - just like being at home. The kitchen is spacious and very well appointed and has every gadget, item of crockery/cutlery and kitchen utensil which you could ever need- made it a joy to cook and dine on the balcony! The balcony has the most stunning view which we have ever seen, looking over the Caribbean Sea with its hues of aqua’s, greens and blues- all sandwiched between the white sand and the bluest of skies imaginable. The condo is set to the side of Discovery Point so you can see the pool to keep an eye on your children-yet it’s far enough away not to be disturbed by the noise of them having a marvellous time. Our son who is 9 made lots of friends during our two week stay and it’s such a 'child friendly' place as the children can play on the beach and snorkel straight off it whilst you laze under a tikki hut or choose to join them for a cooling dip. There’s also lots of trips available too on the island which are also very child friendly- and great fun for adults too! We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this condo to anyone who is considering visiting this condo complex. The staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. We were even treated to a freshly cut coconut from the palms each day- Perfect! This condo and complex really are the jewel in the Cayman crown and we will certainly be returning! Thank you for a magnificent holiday and sharing your beautiful holiday home with us- we have had just the best time!

  Just returned from fabulous week. Pictures, info, and review are absolutely accurate. Condo lacks for nothing, (1st time I have ever said that!). Wineglasses, champagne flutes, cocktail glasses, all the various plateware, pots, pans, utensils, it is all there and good quality. Owner and Discovery Point Staff are beyond helpful. Coffee and breakfast on the balcony, beaching under the tiki huts, swimming in the unbelievable waters, dipping in the pool, and absolutely the best...your own happy hour on the pool deck which sits literally on the ocean. Watch the sun set sipping ice cold champagne, (yes there is even an ice bucket). Then up to prepare dinner and dine on the balcony watching the stars appear, or in our case one night a fantastic lightning show (Hurricane Paula was passing 150 miles offshore). A great day. Went to bed and did it seven more times. Can't wait to return.

  We stayed at Discovery Point in May and had one of the most relaxing enjoyable holidays we have ever experienced. We were in Condo 41 which was very spacious, beautifully decorated chic tropical island style and with every amenity. Breakfast on the fabulous balcony equipped with sun lounges and table and chairs overlooking the magnificent beach and clear turquoise sea made paradise a reality. Snorkelling and swimming in front of the condo was excellent and it was great to dip in the fresh water swimming pool which was virtually on the beach and on which most days we enjoyed to ourselves. The condo was in the perfect position for the beach, sea, swimming pool and amazing sunsets. The owner was very helpful and easy to deal with and gave us good restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed the Wharf, Calypso Grill and Luca in particular. Delicious food and great atmosphere. Ollie in the office was also very friendly and helpful and we can't wait to go again.
