Everything was as described, clean, warm and it has everything that was needed to make it feel like a home away from your home.. The photos do not do it justice. As previous reviewers have said there are plentyof attractions and things to do in the surrounding area, but the most enjoyable thing for us, was being able to return from our sightseeing trips to beautiful, quite, cabin with a view that didn't stop.! We have been asked and have recommended, this beautiful spot on earth, that is both God and man made, to several friends and family members. The owners were wonderful and we thank them very much for all their help and for letting our stay be extended by an extra night.. We plan to return for future visits.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Everything about this property was as described on the VRBO website. The owners have taken great care to make sure everything a visitor could need is provided. The house was very clean and the pictures reflect the house very well. While we stayed in the house we traveled in several directions...Cripple Creek, Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak Cog Railway (terrific!), Florrisant Fossil Beds, Mueller State Park. It was a perfect location for seeing several areas around Pikes Peak.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We recently stayed at the cabin for a time of vacation and can't say enough about how lovely and comfortable the accomodations were. The cabin is spotless, the beds are comfortable, and deck is wonderfull providing a pleasant place to relax. The property, itself, is gorgeous with the trees, wildlife, and privacy. With just a short drive, you can visit nearby historical mining towns, fishing reservoirs, picnic areas, and other sites of CO. Yet, the cabin is secluded, private, and abounds with peace and quiet. You will love the cool morning and evening walks, the seating on the deck, and the tree swing, which was my personal favorite!Enjoy!Jeff and LisaRecommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Our family, which includes two boys (8,11) had a wonderful time at this cabin. We went when the fires were devastating Colorado Springs and 24 Highway was closed. I can't say enough about Tad and Julie's hospitality. They made sure that we were able to get to the cabin and reassured us that things were indeed safe at the cabin. They even called a time or two during our stay to update us, which we greatly appreciated. The cabin was perfect and absolutely everything has been well thought out. There didn't seem to be anything that we needed that wasn't already provided in this cabin. We cooked out and loved eating on the deck. The kids loved the loft. We plan to return to this peaceful place and would love to see the trees in the fall. Thank you so much for everything Tad! We had a great time!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We just spent 3 nights at this relaxing cabin with another couple in June. It was perfect for us. It was easy to get to, but close enough for us to visit Manatou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Mueller state park and do some hiking. We recommend hiking the Crags to anyone that is up for a 2 hour hike. The trail is steep at times but the view is worth it. The cabin was very comfortable, clean and the pictures were accurate. We spent mornings on the deck with coffee and early evening watching the sun set and the stars come out. The BBQ was put to use and we ate one of our meals on the deck because the weather was so nice. Thanks Tadd and family for your place in the woods----it was refreshing.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

Excellent, secluded cabin but within a short drive to different activities. We were looking for a quiet place to spend the weekend with some family and this was perfect. The owners were very accommodating and kept the cabin well stocked. My best husband (of 51 years) and I spent the month of August at Mountain Serenity, and it was just that....serene. The cabin is perfectly suited for 2 to 6 people. Newly remodeled kitchen is a real luxury....everything we needed. Went to Woodland Park's farmers mkt. every Friday (a real community event) and bought lots of great produce. Nice little full-service grocery in nearby Divide. Wonderful gas grill. (Do you get the idea that we like to eat?) The scenery was wonderful. Watched the moon come up over Pikes Peak in the evening & the sun in the AM. The deck allows for outside enjoyment in the shade or sun, depending on your comfort zone. Had 2 groups of short term guests (couples) & we were quite comfortable. Very comfortable furnishings, nicely decorated & VERY clean. Washer & dryer were great. It was such a blessing to leave Texas 2011 heat & drought. Located in an area for great sightseeing, but we didn't do a lot of that.....just loved staying "home" reading & relaxing.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Thanks for sharing your home with us! We had a wonderful time and can't wait to visit again. I personally enjoyed the quiet mornings watching the mountains wake up and lying in bed with the windows up looking at the stars! My kids loved exploring the property and watching for animals. The house was beautiful, clean and well stocked! Thanks again!!!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

Just like the posting says..........nice and cozy ( we experienced sub zero temperatures during our stay ). Clean, well equipped and a view to die for. Could not ask for nicer/more helpful owners. Just far enough out to be quiet and private but close enough for shopping and other activities. Would definitely recommend for anyone that enjoys the mountains! We plan to return.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We just wanted to thank Tadd and his family for a wonderful trip this past Christmas. We drove in from Texas to find the cabin even cuter than the pictures. The accommodations were great and we had a wonderful time. We loved the new kitchen! Tadd put a Christmas tree in the cabin for us to use and we sat by the fireplace and watched movies all week. One day we took the wolf tour and it started snowing - which was the highlight of our trip. We drove into Woodland Park almost daily to visit starbuck's for coffee, to use our cell phones and internet service. Thanks again to the Wermer family - we had a magical Christmas!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
