Nicely updated and very clean Sugar Beach condo

The complex is in a great location right on Sugar Beach which is one of the nicest beaches around: a continuous sandy beach that stretches for several miles from north Kihei to Maalaea - great for running on the beach or long walks and since there is so much beach its not very crowded. The Sugar Beach resort complex itself is pretty big with two large condo buildings and a large common area with a pool, hot tub and BBQs. There are always folks around so its easy to socialize. The unit itself is on the ground floor on the furthest corner from the beach so no beach view and its not super private as folks tend to walk by outside the patio. However I personally like the ground floor location. The unit has been completely remodeled - the buildings appear to be 70s or 80s era - and I would say the owners did an excellent job on a quality remodel that showed nice attention to detail - all the work appears to have been professionally done. The kitchen is well equipped - there is no dining room table but there is a large eating counter with seating for 4 and a table on the outdoor patio. The unit was very clean and came with some extras such as beach towels, cooler bags and some misc beach gear in the outdoor storage locker which was big enough to hang a bike if bring your own or rent one. We really enjoyed our stay.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Week at Sugar Beach Unit 102

We have stayed at Sugar Beach Resort several times over the past 15 years. I would have to say that unit 102 has been by far the cleanest and most updated then all the units we have stayed in. The unit is very clean well appointed and is up to date with modern upgrades in the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen features everey amenity needed and is very functionable. Sugar Beach is a lovely stretch of beach which the property is situated on is great for walks, relaxing in the sun and swimming. The ground floorend corner unit is a GREAT location. Kim and Todd the unit owners were AWESOME to work with. Definitely looking forward to two weeks next year here in paradise.The property is oceanfront and is close to shopping, Wailea, Lahana, short boat trip to Lanai, Molikai and Molinki, the airport, other beautiful south maui beaches, Maui Ocean Center, Hanna and all major Maui attractions. We enjoyed walking every morning on the beach, treking on a few local hikes, watching the sunrise at Haleakala and cycling down the mountain, and the Maui Ocean Center.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Clean and beautiful as pictured, extremely nice unit!

We stayed for 9 days at this beautiful condo. The owners were very nice and easy to deal with. They made us feel right at home. The complex is right on the beach in a very centrally located area of the island. There is a great restaurant/bar right on the premises if you dont feel like traveling out with great food and daily drink specials. We had a very relaxing trip and would stay in this condo again. Thanks again to Kim and Todd for allowing us to use their beautiful home.

What a beautifully renovated condo! We loved our stay and enjoyed the gorgeous Sugar Beach...perfect for walks and swimming, as well as the immense and perfectly kept pool and hot tub! Highly recommend this well kept rental! Jim and Cathy, Victoria, BC

what a great place! out of the 7-8 different condos we have stayed at (some much more expensive), this was certainly the nicest. ground floor allowed for easy access to pool and beach and parking lot. Interior decor was really nice, not outdated like so many of the other VRBO condos we have stayed at. Sugar Beach was much nicer than we expected too: great for long walks and boogie boarding. We would love to stay here again! Highly recommended.

Our stay in Maui was fantastic. We really enjoyed the condo experience and coming "home" each day from the beach or a side trip. We especially enjoyed our morning walks on the beach and leisurely breakfasts on the lanai. The condo had everything we needed to feel right at home and your Maui tour books came in very handy for finding beaches, whale spotting sites, and places to stop on the road to Hana. Thank you for making our stay so memorable-hopefully we'll be back to visit the island.

This condo was perfect. It was spacious and had all the amentities of home. It was in a perfect location. We loved coming back to the condo everyday, and making fresh fruit smoothies there every morning. I loved the patio doors on the lanai, they open so wide.... kind of opened us to the outside world. The service from you guys was immpecable and we could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much and we will be back for more......

Thanks for sharing your condo with us. It's the nicest one we've ever rented on Maui. We've enjoyed the long walks on Sugar Beach, snorkeling at Makena Landing, boogie boards at K-3, and the Maui Film Festival. Movies by the Full Moon... awesome.

Thank you for sharing your Maui home with us. We both got lots of rest and toured the island quite a bit. BBQing was perfect and it was great to have spices readily at hand. We enjoyed all the Sugar Beach neighbors in the hot tub everyday.

Many thanks to you both for allowing us to share of piece of your Maui paradise @ Sugar Beach. And especially for remembering us with the Hawaiian floral bouquet for our 25th anniversary. Carol and I were blown away with how beautiful your remodel turned out. Seeing it on-line is one thing but in person...Wow! We love the stone tile work throughout, and the location couldn't be better-with the best beach in the hawaiian islands 40 yrds from the Lanai porch.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help with our stay here in Maui. The condo was very nicely located for all of our excursions and we loved proximity to the beaches in South Maui. Excellent work on the condo renovations! It was really nice to have all of the amenities of home close at hand. Would love to come back and take in more of Maui next year.

Thank You! Your condo is great-it really feels like you thought of everything! Also very nice job on the decor. We took long walks on the beach every morning and had a great time with your boogie boards. We slept great and really appreciated the sliding door between the bedroom and bath area. This is a great location too, close proximity made it really easy to get around for day trips.

Our month in Maui has been fantastic! We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and many of the attractions that Maui has to offer. We especially enjoyed the road to Hana, the dolphin/whale watching trips and our numerous snorkeling adventures. We also enjoyed walking along the beach and returning to relax by the pool. The condo was a very comfortable "home away from home"

Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo with me. It was so nice to come "home" to a cozy place with a super comfy bed. I would wake up every morning and take a walk along the beach. I spent tons of time soaking up the sun by the pool. Your Maui home was the perfect home base for all of the wedding activities this week. I would love to find myself here again when I next visit Maui.

We were her for 7 nights and loved every minute of it! We made day trips all over the island, our favorites were the road to Hana, especially the pools just past Hana, and the blowhole on Maui's West side. Kaanapali Beach and Black Rock were also fantastic. Best of all, was relaxing here at the condo, making dinner and reading. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!
