Very special setting. Relaxing and safe neighborhood. The open-plan, several-tiered house was everything and more than we had hoped. A lot of love went into the creation of that house. We Loved the Sunrises and Sunsets from the garden (highlight for my partner - he's traveled the world and never seen more beautiful). The ocean was Perfect temperature for swimming (too brown for snorkling), with full tides and constantly the lulling sound of the waves. Sandy beach for walking at low tides (recommend booties if swimming then). Almost always a breeze, which soothed hot days. Never used bug deterrants. Birds, bats and squirrels at home in the surrounding trees. The proprietor of the property was in all ways exceptionally helpful, and available if needed. Live-in house cleaner very hard working and always tried to please. Gardeners/handyman opened coconuts for us. Visiting masseuse a plus. We had no reason to leave other than to buy food and house supplies! Fishermen's huts 15mins walk along beach. Mostly no-one, or very few, on beach or in water, except during Carnival. Would certainly recommend to friends and family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: My husband designed this house with alot of care and love and you can feel the good energy in it. It is nice to know that you enjoyed our house as much as we do. You and Bob are welcome any time. Thanks for your review Brooke. Hope to see you again sometime in the future. Best regards

My partner and I spent a wonderful 10 days at this property. The house was fabulous, well maintained and very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped. We bought groceries and did all of our cooking there as we didn't even want to leave the property. It's exactly as described. Right on the ocean. We watched the sunrises and sunsets daily, swam and walked on the beach. I would highly recommend this property to friends or family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: I am very glad you really enjoyed your stay in my beach property. Thanks for your comment. I hope to meet you next time.

Our two families (4 adults, 5 teenagers) shared this wonderful home for a week and loved every minute of it. The house itself is outstanding - gracious open floor plan, plenty of places to be all together or all alone. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire property. The lawn overlooking the beach was great, but the beach itself was only so-so -- a little rocky, and disappeared during high tide. The location was a great base for exploring the Pacific Coast and Del Valle, too. A car is a must! The house is cared for by a live-in attendant who became part of our family. She kept everything clean and even helped with meal preparation and showed us how to make Panama's famous patacones.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you very much for your comments. I am very glad you enjoyed the property as much as I enjoy it with my family. Come back soon!!!

Our family stayed at this unique and beautiful property for 6+ weeks. We couldn't have wished for a better home-away-from-home! The house is just as pictured in the listing; very spacious and comfortable. The setting is peaceful, steps from a secluded beach. Good restaurants (Trattoria, Chelo's and Vista Mar were our favorites) and other amenities are nearby, and the property is conveniently located less than 75 miles from Panama City. El Valle and surf lessons at Pal Mar were fun day trips. We loved hearing the thunder of the surf and feeling the ocean breeze while reading in a hammock on the lawn, porch or living room. Owner Sandra was very helpful in answering all questions in advance of our rental and responsive to any needs that arose during our stay. Persons with mobility issues might find the multiple levels of this home a challenge, especially at night or in dim light. The gas oven was tempermental during our stay, but otherwise the kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use (allow plenty of time for cooking on the charcoal grill). I cannot say enough about Omaira, housekeeper extraordinaire and all around wonderful lady! She is incredibly kind and helpful, and made our stay in Punta Barco truly relaxing. All around, a fabulous retreat -- we would recommend it in a heartbeat.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our 1st trip to Panama and we lucked out by reserving this beautiful, spacious house with an awesome view and steps away from the beach/ocean. It was a perfect choice and the housekeeper (Elmyra) was an added bonus! We never had to do dishes or laundry and had our coffee made every morning! I would highly recommend! Helpful Hints: The house is almost impossible to find at night - arrive during the day! gps very helpful but still a challenge to find. Bring a english/spanish dictionary or someone that speaks both languages - it will just make your stay a little easier :) Shopping & lots of places to eat nearby. I would recommend the partial tour of the panamal canal! Our family also enjoyed zip-lining!Owner response: Thanks for your review and i am glad you enjoyed your stay. You are right, I also recommend to arrive while there is still day light to make it easier to find the house.

Hola Sandra, El "review" sigue abajo. Puedes usar mi nombre si gustas. We spent two weeks in the Boza house in Punta Barco, Panama. The property is outstanding. The property's backyard is literally the beach. The house is custom made for relaxation. Mr. Boza is an architect and the house is designed with wondeful detail and with a eyw towards care free comfort. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The outside common area has a beautiful thatched roof and is perfect for hanging out, relaxing in a hammock, and enjoying the sounds of the ocean waves crashing nearby. The staff was pleasant and ready to help with meals, cleaning, making beds, and laundry. If your group consists of more than four, I would urge you to hire an additional staff person. This can be easily arranged through the owners. This is a perfect house for a stress free getaway. It is only 1 hour and 15 minutes by car from Panama city. Coronado is 5 minutes away. In Coronado you will find well stocked supermarkets, a large department store, and various restaurants. There are several golf courses nearby. As long as you are willing and able to enjoy a truly relaxing atmosphere, I can only highly recommend a stay at this property!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Gorgeous house, perfect getaway for close groups or families. The housekeeper was incredibly friendly and very helpful. We had a private beach as our backyard. The house is very cozy and comfortable. Listen to the owners recommendation and avoid reaching too late as it's difficult finding the house at night. It's a rocky dark road once you pull into Punta Barco. Plan well and pack enough food, coal and beverages as you will not want to leave even for a minute. Take advantage and soak in as much of this paradise as you can. Trust me, you will not want to leave!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: thanks for your review. I am very happy you enjoyed your stay!! Every time i go with my family, I don´t want to leave either.

A jewel of a house located on beach amidst some 30 beautiful homes on Pacific Ocean. Award winning designation earned in 2008 well deserved. Fabulous arrangement of common areas including four different sitting areas in open house. Wonderful housekeeper on site named Omeira who is rapidly learning English does many helpful things.. Can walk on beach at all times except high tide in both directions. Excellent location if you like to relax by reading, walking on beach, playing games. If you like resort life such as found in condos, Marriott, Westin, this is not for you. Only negative is rough 1 1/2 mile road stretch leading to house.Even so, you do not need a four wheel drive. Grocery store is only 4 miles from house. Food prices are much better than in Costa Rica or Caribbean islands on which we have stayed. Day trips to Panama Canal and jungles are available. We chose to go via tour, and it was best for us. A truly great house with a great housekeeper. Landlady is most helpful, speaks English, and has daughter in school at College of Charleston, so she knows something of our country.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay in our beach paradise. I hope i will meet you in person next time (we could only see and talk via Skype). Omaira was very happy with all of you. By the way, I never told you, but i lived in USA for six years (obtained bachelors and Master´s degree there).

It was my first trip to Panama and wow did I pick a great house! There were four couples staying here and we had lots of room to spread out. I think what I liked best was the feeling, of being outside, while inside. Oh, and of course being right on the beach. The location is great for day trips to El Valle, San Carlos, Panama canal ... We also got a day pass to Decameron Resort. Sondra answered all my questions (lots of emails) :) The housekeeper Elmrya was great. We walked the beach every morning enjoying the scenery. If you get a low tide you can get oysters off of the rocks. Pick this one and you won't be dissappointed.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks for your review. It was great to have met all of you. Clients like you are worth to rent our house.
