We stayed here for 6 nights and had a great time. Large kitchen, spacious patio perfect for late night BBQs and watching fireworks, comfy beds, luxurious bathrooms, lots of storage space in the closets, a cosy integrated living room etc. The location is perfect as well, so close to the I5 and no matter where we went it rarely took longer than 10 minutes to get there! There is also a grocery store just 2 minutes away surrounded by other stores such as pharmacies which might come in handy. The owner, Dave, was also very nice and flexible. The only negative thing that comes in mind is the dog next door... the slightest noise and he would start barking like there was no tomorrow. Reading the review below however it seems as if Dave knows the dog whisperer, so that should not be a problem in the future?!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We rented this house to vacation in San Diego for Spring Break this year. The location was as great as described. We got everywhere we wanted to go (Zoo, Sea World, Beaches, & Safari Park) so very quickly. It really was located in an optimum area. We even had the Sea World fireworks send us off, from the front porch, at the end of our stay. The property was clean and well-maintained and the owner was VERY available to us. A next door neighbor dog barked somewhat during the first night. We complained to David, and the problem was 99% resolved. I enjoyed the master bedroom bed and it was very comfortable. There were queen beds in the other 2 bedrooms which were probably not as nice as mine, but the kids had those. The kitchen was pretty well equipped, and there was a grocery store just down the road. I would definitely stay here again or recommend it to a friend. It certainly beats paying the rates of any hotel...with the added luxury of your own kitchen.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

The house was nice looking and spacious, in a good area, and the view was great. That being said, there were numerous problems that the owner made no attempt to remedy, including the air conditioning and broken unlit steps that caused a fall. Tried to blame an existing plumbing problem on us when it had nothing to do with us, and kept our deposit. Don't do it!!Owner response: I would like to mention this has been a vacation rental for over a year, with over a hundred people that have stayed there, and they are the first people to complain about anything. There is no air conditioner at the house, and it doesn't say in the Features and Amenities that their is one, which I told them when they asked. Their is a ceiling fan, but there's always a strong breeze blowing from the water, and no one has ever complained it was too hot. The light bulb did burn out the day before they were leaving, they called me at 8:30pm to tell me this, and I told them I couldn't get out there till the next day. Which I fixed at that time. There are no existing plumming problems. This happened 3 days into their rental, so how could it be existing? I spoke with the plummer before I decided to charge them for the toilet back up. He told me that it was from flushing a female product down the toilet, and he said it isn't a delayed thing, it happens right away. Which it did. He said that those shouldn't be flushed, unless they are biodegradable ones, which I checked their box and they weren't. I also asked them when it happened if the flushed anything other than toilet paper and they said no, just TP. Obviouly they lied about it. They were all apologetic about it, until they found out they were being charged. I can't beleive they think I should have to pay for something they shouldn't have done. This house has been a rental for 4 yrs and never had this problem before this incident.

The rental property is located in a nice and quite neighbor. The property itself is clean and well-maintained. It's really nice to live in this rental property if you want to visit Mission Bay, Mission Beach, La Jolla, Balboa park. They are within 10 minutes! My family really enjoyed the stay. I strongly recommend this property!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

I rented this property for my family who were coming in from Wales for a visit. We did not have enough room and this was a great alternative to an expensive hotel. They really enjoyed their stay and loved the nightly fireworks shows. The house was really comfortable, bright and the neighbors were so friendly. Thanks for the great hospitality and I highly recommend this house to others who are looking for somewhere to stay in San Diego.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

This turned out to be a hidden gem and a great place to stay while we visited San Diego. My family really liked the fireworks shows at night and the views were great. The entire house was always so bright and cheery. My family and I spent most of our time on the deck watching the sunset and relaxing. The house had everything we needed; t was neat, clean and the owner left us chocolates on our pillows the first night - all of this made for a very great first stay in San Diego. I would definitely recommend this property.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4
