Your place was just as advertised on your web page. We had a great time with all the family members sleeping and eating under one roof. I am glad that I had a friend that referred your cabin to us because we all had hotel reservations on the strip for a wedding we were attending.Did you find this review helpful? Our visit was wonderful. We always enjoy the conference, but our FAVORITE part of the trip is the time we spend together at the Lodge. Thanks so much for letting us stay at your special little place! JoeyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We hosted a ministry retreat for 22 adults and had a great time. The view far outshines any minor flaws the cabin itself had. We were all comfortable with plenty of space to sleep and relax together. The kitchen had everything we needed for feeding that many. Very close to Gatlinburg and hiking trails. Just remember to bring extra toilet paper and trash bags! Otherwise, prepare to be wowed!Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

About the owner: Here we are working hard so you don't have to. :) We hope you enjoy this cabin. This cabin has a history and was once named How Great Thou Art by the wonderul Mr. and Mrs. Hanerd who are still in the area and are some of the nicest people. I hope we make them proud. Additionally, the cabin also was represented under the name Wapiti Lodge which was later used as a wedding location for some beautiful weddings. We like to think we have allowed the cabin to evolve like the families who were married here. Perhaps now they have children of their own and would like to come back and visit the cabin where they wed with their families, friends and children. We hope you enjoy the views, the cabin and the memories you'll make at Buckhead Lodge. We hope once you come here you'll want to visit more.
Why the Owner Chose Chalet Village:
We chose Gatlinburg over several other locations because of the year round FUN that is here! Skiing in Winter, hiking in Spring, swimming and Dollywood in Summer and the magnificent foliage in Fall.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
This cabin's location circumvents the downtown traffic in Gatlinburg but you can be in the 'thick of things' within minutes! Within minutes from Buckhead Lodge, you can be at the Aquarium in the Smokies, the National Forest, Dollywood, shops and restaurants. It really is centrally located and easy access from the Smoky Mountain National Forest Visitors Center at Wiley Oakley Drive. We hope you enjoy the peacefulness and serenity of this cabin with your loved ones!
