Read our reviews--we take great care of our guests! If you want a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home, Water's Edge is your kind of cabin.
With it's peaceful location at the edge of the fishing pond, Water's Edge is not your typical cabin in the Smokies. Unlike many other cabins, you don't have another cabin right next door within view. Water's Edge is not secluded but it definitely has plenty of privacy!
FISHING FUN
Few cabins in the smokies offer a fishing pond right out your front door. Catfish, bass and bluegill await your line and no fishing license is required. Water's Edge overlooks a peaceful pond and the closest cabin is 200 feet away. Catch and release fishing only.
ROMANTIC MASTER BEDROOM
This pet-friendly log cabin may be a fisherman's paradise outside, but inside it's all about creature comforts. Beautiful vaulted wood ceilings keep this 792 square foot cabin feeling spacious. The king bedroom offers a new mattress, double sided fireplace (available Oct 1-April 30), 25-inch TV and heart shaped jacuzzi. The attached bathroom has a generous walk-in shower.
LIVING AND DINING AREA
In the living and dining area, the stacked stone fireplace shares the focal point of the room along with a 42 inch flat screen TV. Enjoy DVD movies, Gamecube video games, free WI-FI or just check out a favorite show on TV. The sleeper sofa in the living room folds out to a queen bed. We also have a Pack-N-Play and high chair in the closet if needed.
SCREENED PORCH FOR OUTDOOR LIVING
The hot tub and outside dining area are located on a screened porch that runs the length of the cabin. Rope lights add a festive touch and since it's bug free, you'll find yourself enjoying the outdoor living space that much more. Another plus is that this porch is totally enclosed so your pets can be with you and you don't have to worry about them getting loose.
SAVE MONEY-DINE IN
The kitchen is compact but well outfitted for dining in. You'll have plenty of good quality kitchen wares and small appliances for making a simple snack or a big BBQ. We're foodies and believe in giving our guests the best kitchen tools we can provide, so can have fun making blended drinks with the Ninja or pulling out the crockpot for an easy meal after a day of exploring. You're on vacation, so food prep should be easy!
NO STAIRS AND EASY ROADS=GREAT ACCESSIBILITY
One of the nicest things about Water's Edge is the ease of access. You're 4.5 miles from the heart of Pigeon Forge at Traffic Light 3--only a few minutes away. But with no steep mountain roads to climb, winter time access is very good. Plus if stairs are a concern, the cabin has a simple ramp that leads inside and all living is on one level.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE
If Water's Edge is booked, please click the link below to see our three other Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg properties. TreeHouse Hideaway VRBO listing 134504 is less than 2 miles from Water's Edge. GrandView VRBO 51745 and Swaying Pines VRBO 18856 are closer to Gatlinburg, and Swaying Pines also offers a fishing lake. Thank you for considering our pet friendly cabins and please contact us if you have questions.
PETS ARE WELCOME
If you have more than one pet, we will certainly consider two dogs. We welcome larger breeds too with owner approval. Pet stays at Water's Edge are most welcome but we require that your dog is an adult dog, house-broken and currently on flea/tick medication. We appreciate if you bring your pet's crate so that when you leave, they are comfortable and secure. Crating your dog is not mandatory but very appreciated.
$750 per week OFF SEASON SPECIAL
From January through mid-May, September and November, pay only $750 plus tax for a full week at Water's Edge. Only $107.14 a night and no cleaning fee. Holiday periods are not included in the special.

Our stay here was totally relaxing. The cabin itself was beautiful and so comfy. It was great to be able to enjoy all the sights and then return to the peace and quiet of nature. Amy's eye for detail is exquisite and she certainly goes out of her way to make certain her guests are comfortable. We were glad our first trip to Tennessee was spent at "Water's Edge". Anyone staying in this cabin will certainly have no regrets.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Hope, what a sweet review. Thank you for making my day! And I'm so glad you enjoyed the cabin and your first trip to Tennessee. Hopefully this will be the start of many more visits to this beautiful state. Please come again!

We had a wonderful time during our stay there. It is such great cabin. The location is beautiful with all the trees and lake. We woke up to an amazing sight the next morning of our stay. We had snow all around which made it look even more beautiful! We have stayed at many cabins, but this was the best that seemed to think of their guests. Not only was there spices stocked for us to use and candy in the dish, but our dogs even had biscuits waiting for them. There seemed to be just little extras that made our stay special. We will certainly book again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the review, Kathy! I wish I could have taken credit for the pretty snowfall but that's out of my skill set LOL I appreciate that you enjoyed all the little extras. It's just how we like to treat our guests. Please come again anytime...the welcome mat is out!

This is a beautiful and well-maintained cabin with all of the necessities for a care-free and great time! Fully stocked kitchen with everything from pitchers to muffin pans to cook with with, full size fridge, no linens or towels to have to bring to it, relaxing hottub as well as heart-shaped tub with jets, board games, video games and movies provided, and it is far enough from the bustle of the parkway but close enough to tour around to everything. Had an awesome stay and wished it could of been longer. Amy is a great lady to work with and a stay at her cabin is definitely worth every penny! (I'm just sorry that she didn't have a motorized vacuum there so I could clean up after my shedding Akita - had a broom and push vacuum but it's no match for an Akita's blowing coat!) :)Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Barbara, I am so happy you enjoyed everything at the cabin. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family--I rarely get to say hello to our guests! It's nice to know that you enjoyed your vacation and found everything comfortable and in good order. That's always the goal. Please come again anytime!

We have looked around the area for cabins to stay in that are nice but yet allow pets, if you are looking for that THIS IS THE ONE!!! We came and stayed for four days and wish we could have stayed longer. It is close to town, yet far enough you get no noise. The wild turkeys came and visited, and the pond in front of the cabin is great. We could not have asked for a nicer person to rent from than Amy, she did everythng she could to make our stay a wonderful experience. Our little Yorkie loved the place and felt right at home staying here while we went into town to have dinner and shop. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. The screened in porch is wonderful to sit out at night but no bugs, the hot tub was great, and a very comfortable bed. My husband says I am a clean freak, but this was as clean as it could be and everything you need is provided. Thanks Amy for allowing us to stay and hope to be back this year. Owner response: Hi Vicki, thank you for sharing your experience at Water's Edge. It was great to have you as our guests, and Sissy, too! I hope you can come back another time.

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at the Water's Edge and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We were looking for a cabin getaway for the weekend, that would accommodate our two small dogs, and provide the privacy we were after. The Water's Edge met all of our expectations, from the wood floors and walls to the stone fireplace. It was perfect place to spend some quality time. Thanks for your hospitality.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Hi Randy, thank you for the positive review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the cabin. We welcome you to come back anytime...the pets, too!

I just returned from a wonderful stay at Water's Edge with my husband and our dog, Jack. What you see in the pics is exactly what you get. The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any meal or you can be in Pigeon Forge at one of the many great restaurants in about 10 minutes. I was pleased to find the cabin stocked with items that I have never had supplied at other cabins like hand soaps, air freshener, cleaners, a generous supply of hangers and even a suction cup hook in the shower. I didn't have to unpack any of mine. Amy has thought of every detail to make your rental experience at great one. Our only regret is that it was too cold to enjoy the screen porch overlooking the fish pond. WiFi connected quickly every time and the fireplace was just perfect after a cold day in Pigeon Forge. I completely agree with all the comments about Amy. She was an absolute pleasure to work with! I would recommend Water's Edge to any couple looking for a clean, cozy place to getaway. We will definitely choose Water's Edge for a future stay.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Hi Wanda, I'm so glad you enjoyed Water's Edge. I agree, the weather didn't cooperate well...wish I could have ordered up some sunshine and 60 degrees for you! Please come again anytime.

Had a GREAT time. The cabin was exactly as described. I have never stayed anywhere that was as well supplied as the Waters Edge. It had everything you could need. The first 2 full days of our stay, it rained most of the time. The metal roof was wonderful during the rain...SOOOO RELAXING...Hot tub was perfect in the evenings. Will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone. Perfect for a couple!!! Very quiet and secluded but only 10 mins from everything. Owner response: Hi Kaye and thank you for the review! I'm glad you didn't mind all the rain because I think the local TV station said it was a new 48 hour record with more than 6 inches. I'm happy to know you enjoyed the cabin and found it comfortable for your stay. We would love to have you back again anytime!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. It was very cozy for two. Cabin was clean, well decorated, kitchen well- equipped although we did not use it much. The owner is easy to work with and the prices are affordable. Easy drive to pigeon forge, yet away from all the traffic. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked another one of the owners cabins for thanksgiving.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
Owner response: Hi Jennifer, thank your for the review and I can't imagine a better compliment than your returning to our cabins for another visit. This time the kids get to experience the Smokies! Thank you and I hope you have a great time at Swaying Pines, too.

My short review...This property is excellent. Clean, smells wonderful, great furniture and amenities. Wonderful owner. Private yet not far from the action. I highly recommend. My long review...This cabin was perfect. Load your stuff into the cabin by walking up a ramp, no stairs...nice. Well lit by the porch lights, or plug in the rope lights for added effect. The living room/kitchen/dining area is super clean, VERY well stocked (cups, plates, mixing bowls, alum.foil, microwave, coffee maker, utensils..well, it had everything.) The TV is a perfect sized flat screen over the fireplace, with cable. Their is a dvd/vcr. there are movies galore and a gaming system for the kids if applicable. The couch and chair are comfy. The wood floors and ceilings are bright colored stain, very nice. The bedroom has a TV, and the bed was super comfy. Lots of pillows. Dresser space and lots of hangers in the closet. Pack n Play and other stuff in the closet if needed (they seem to have thought of EVERYTHING, seriously folks). Large heart shaped Jacuzzi bath. Shower is roomy. HOT WATER goes on for days! (It never ran out). Makeup mirror, Blow dryer for the ladies. Now the deck. You will spend alot of time out there. Nice 4 chair (comfy, padded) table that sits up high. The deck is screened in (nice). Two rocking chairs as well. the Hot tub worked perfectly, was clean, and the water was perfect, not to hot, not to cold, just perfect. You could see a couple of cabins in the daytime, but they were plenty of distance away that you could not distinguish your neighbors in their space and vice versa. In the daytime the fishing lake may draw slight company (one fellow during my stay), but at night, noone will be in your vicinity. You will have plenty of privacy. Plenty of stores and restaurants nearby if needed. The Pigeon forge strip was about 10 min. max. Gatlinburg maybe 25 min? and I drove very slow sightseeing as I went. Hikers should check out the NOC outfitter store (holy cow) at the far end of the gatlinburg strip for info and gear. I had a thoroughly peaceful stay and will certainly be coming back, to this same cabin next time. (Make sure to follow Amy's directions to the cabin, mapquest misnames the last turns and you will pass the turn in without them). In final, I checked online for cabins for 2 weeks, and was turned off by other cabin reviews...THEN I FOUND THIS GEM.......stay here, you will not be disappointed....AaronRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Amy & Rick, Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with Don and me. We had the best time. The cabin is better then what the pictures show. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch, even when it rained and in the hot tub. The restaurants that you suggested were great, especially the Cherokee Grill in Gatlinburg, where we had our anniversary dinner. This cabin is perfect for a couple and also very handicap accessible. We saw the wild turkeys and heard the bull frog. Saw a lot of deer and a black bear in Cades Cove. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone and would enjoy coming back again. Patty & DonRecommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Patty, thank you so much for the "better than advertised" comment! That is so nice of you to share. I'm glad you liked the Cherokee Grill for your anniversary dinner. Very nice fare and atmosphere at a reasonable price. My kind of place! Please come again. Thanks Patty!

About the owner: Hi I'm Amy Greener and along with my husband Rick, we own and self-manage 4 cabins in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We live in Michigan but make several trips a year to Tennessee to work at the cabins. Our goal is to give our guests the nicest vacation rental experience they've ever had so they keep coming back. We hope to retire to the Smokies as soon as our three children are finished with college.
Why the Owner Chose Pigeon Forge:
Water's Edge is our first 1 BR property, so this is new territory for us owning a smaller cabin. We looked at a lot of cabins but this little one on the water was something different and unique. We wanted a nice blend for our 'honeymooner'--romantic, comfortable and a fair amount of privacy. But with the fishing pond, we thought it would also be ideal for guests with children wanting to fish or play outside. Plus it had to be pet friendly with room for them to take walks and enjoy the outdoors. Finally we really wanted a cabin with no stairs and one level living. Many of our guests have requested this and it's sometimes hard to find a cabin one level living. We feel so fortunate that we found Water's Edge because it truly filled our wish list.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
A great location with no cabins right next door. Relaxing views of the water. You can take walks along the pond. Have dinner on the screened deck at night with the rope lights turned on for a romantic evening. We welcome larger breed dogs--with owner approval--so your beloved Golden Retriever or Shepherd can join you on your vacation.
