Our stay here was totally relaxing. The cabin itself was beautiful and so comfy. It was great to be able to enjoy all the sights and then return to the peace and quiet of nature. Amy's eye for detail is exquisite and she certainly goes out of her way to make certain her guests are comfortable. We were glad our first trip to Tennessee was spent at "Water's Edge". Anyone staying in this cabin will certainly have no regrets.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi Hope, what a sweet review. Thank you for making my day! And I'm so glad you enjoyed the cabin and your first trip to Tennessee. Hopefully this will be the start of many more visits to this beautiful state. Please come again!

We had a wonderful time during our stay there. It is such great cabin. The location is beautiful with all the trees and lake. We woke up to an amazing sight the next morning of our stay. We had snow all around which made it look even more beautiful! We have stayed at many cabins, but this was the best that seemed to think of their guests. Not only was there spices stocked for us to use and candy in the dish, but our dogs even had biscuits waiting for them. There seemed to be just little extras that made our stay special. We will certainly book again!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for the review, Kathy! I wish I could have taken credit for the pretty snowfall but that's out of my skill set LOL I appreciate that you enjoyed all the little extras. It's just how we like to treat our guests. Please come again anytime...the welcome mat is out!

This is a beautiful and well-maintained cabin with all of the necessities for a care-free and great time! Fully stocked kitchen with everything from pitchers to muffin pans to cook with with, full size fridge, no linens or towels to have to bring to it, relaxing hottub as well as heart-shaped tub with jets, board games, video games and movies provided, and it is far enough from the bustle of the parkway but close enough to tour around to everything. Had an awesome stay and wished it could of been longer. Amy is a great lady to work with and a stay at her cabin is definitely worth every penny! (I'm just sorry that she didn't have a motorized vacuum there so I could clean up after my shedding Akita - had a broom and push vacuum but it's no match for an Akita's blowing coat!) :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi Barbara, I am so happy you enjoyed everything at the cabin. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family--I rarely get to say hello to our guests! It's nice to know that you enjoyed your vacation and found everything comfortable and in good order. That's always the goal. Please come again anytime!

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at the Water's Edge and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We were looking for a cabin getaway for the weekend, that would accommodate our two small dogs, and provide the privacy we were after. The Water's Edge met all of our expectations, from the wood floors and walls to the stone fireplace. It was perfect place to spend some quality time. Thanks for your hospitality.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Hi Randy, thank you for the positive review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the cabin. We welcome you to come back anytime...the pets, too!

I just returned from a wonderful stay at Water's Edge with my husband and our dog, Jack. What you see in the pics is exactly what you get. The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any meal or you can be in Pigeon Forge at one of the many great restaurants in about 10 minutes. I was pleased to find the cabin stocked with items that I have never had supplied at other cabins like hand soaps, air freshener, cleaners, a generous supply of hangers and even a suction cup hook in the shower. I didn't have to unpack any of mine. Amy has thought of every detail to make your rental experience at great one. Our only regret is that it was too cold to enjoy the screen porch overlooking the fish pond. WiFi connected quickly every time and the fireplace was just perfect after a cold day in Pigeon Forge. I completely agree with all the comments about Amy. She was an absolute pleasure to work with! I would recommend Water's Edge to any couple looking for a clean, cozy place to getaway. We will definitely choose Water's Edge for a future stay.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Hi Wanda, I'm so glad you enjoyed Water's Edge. I agree, the weather didn't cooperate well...wish I could have ordered up some sunshine and 60 degrees for you! Please come again anytime.

We have looked around the area for cabins to stay in that are nice but yet allow pets, if you are looking for that THIS IS THE ONE!!! We came and stayed for four days and wish we could have stayed longer. It is close to town, yet far enough you get no noise. The wild turkeys came and visited, and the pond in front of the cabin is great. We could not have asked for a nicer person to rent from than Amy, she did everythng she could to make our stay a wonderful experience. Our little Yorkie loved the place and felt right at home staying here while we went into town to have dinner and shop. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. The screened in porch is wonderful to sit out at night but no bugs, the hot tub was great, and a very comfortable bed. My husband says I am a clean freak, but this was as clean as it could be and everything you need is provided. Thanks Amy for allowing us to stay and hope to be back this year. Owner response: Hi Vicki, thank you for sharing your experience at Water's Edge. It was great to have you as our guests, and Sissy, too! I hope you can come back another time.

Had a GREAT time. The cabin was exactly as described. I have never stayed anywhere that was as well supplied as the Waters Edge. It had everything you could need. The first 2 full days of our stay, it rained most of the time. The metal roof was wonderful during the rain...SOOOO RELAXING...Hot tub was perfect in the evenings. Will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone. Perfect for a couple!!! Very quiet and secluded but only 10 mins from everything. Owner response: Hi Kaye and thank you for the review! I'm glad you didn't mind all the rain because I think the local TV station said it was a new 48 hour record with more than 6 inches. I'm happy to know you enjoyed the cabin and found it comfortable for your stay. We would love to have you back again anytime!

My short review...This property is excellent. Clean, smells wonderful, great furniture and amenities. Wonderful owner. Private yet not far from the action. I highly recommend. My long review...This cabin was perfect. Load your stuff into the cabin by walking up a ramp, no stairs...nice. Well lit by the porch lights, or plug in the rope lights for added effect. The living room/kitchen/dining area is super clean, VERY well stocked (cups, plates, mixing bowls, alum.foil, microwave, coffee maker, utensils..well, it had everything.) The TV is a perfect sized flat screen over the fireplace, with cable. Their is a dvd/vcr. there are movies galore and a gaming system for the kids if applicable. The couch and chair are comfy. The wood floors and ceilings are bright colored stain, very nice. The bedroom has a TV, and the bed was super comfy. Lots of pillows. Dresser space and lots of hangers in the closet. Pack n Play and other stuff in the closet if needed (they seem to have thought of EVERYTHING, seriously folks). Large heart shaped Jacuzzi bath. Shower is roomy. HOT WATER goes on for days! (It never ran out). Makeup mirror, Blow dryer for the ladies. Now the deck. You will spend alot of time out there. Nice 4 chair (comfy, padded) table that sits up high. The deck is screened in (nice). Two rocking chairs as well. the Hot tub worked perfectly, was clean, and the water was perfect, not to hot, not to cold, just perfect. You could see a couple of cabins in the daytime, but they were plenty of distance away that you could not distinguish your neighbors in their space and vice versa. In the daytime the fishing lake may draw slight company (one fellow during my stay), but at night, noone will be in your vicinity. You will have plenty of privacy. Plenty of stores and restaurants nearby if needed. The Pigeon forge strip was about 10 min. max. Gatlinburg maybe 25 min? and I drove very slow sightseeing as I went. Hikers should check out the NOC outfitter store (holy cow) at the far end of the gatlinburg strip for info and gear. I had a thoroughly peaceful stay and will certainly be coming back, to this same cabin next time. (Make sure to follow Amy's directions to the cabin, mapquest misnames the last turns and you will pass the turn in without them). In final, I checked online for cabins for 2 weeks, and was turned off by other cabin reviews...THEN I FOUND THIS GEM.......stay here, you will not be disappointed....AaronRecommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Amy & Rick, Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with Don and me. We had the best time. The cabin is better then what the pictures show. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch, even when it rained and in the hot tub. The restaurants that you suggested were great, especially the Cherokee Grill in Gatlinburg, where we had our anniversary dinner. This cabin is perfect for a couple and also very handicap accessible. We saw the wild turkeys and heard the bull frog. Saw a lot of deer and a black bear in Cades Cove. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone and would enjoy coming back again. Owner response: Hi Patty, thank you so much for the "better than advertised" comment! That is so nice of you to share. I'm glad you liked the Cherokee Grill for your anniversary dinner. Very nice fare and atmosphere at a reasonable price. My kind of place! Please come again. Thanks Patty!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. It was very cozy for two. Cabin was clean, well decorated, kitchen well- equipped although we did not use it much. The owner is easy to work with and the prices are affordable. Easy drive to pigeon forge, yet away from all the traffic. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked another one of the owners cabins for thanksgiving.Recommended for: Romantic getaway

We arrived in Pigeon Forge on Saturday 6/30 to 103 degrees. Wow, The cabin was cool and comfortable when we unpacked. Very clean and neat. We were very pleased with everything. Each morning the woodpeckers would wake us up with their pecking on the cabin walls. That was an unexpected woodsy extra! The heat kept us off the screened in porch but I did enjoy the hot tub a few times. Very relaxing. Everything you needed for cooking was found in the kitchen including all the spices too. Our little dog enjoyed the jar of treats Amy had waiting for him. Coco thanks you!!! We found so many things to do in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. Rafting was great and the mountains were beautiful and the restaurants were terrific. We enjoyed the Smoky Mountain Brewery and Restaurant which was only minutes away. Dolly's Splash Country was a welcome relief on the 100+ degree days. The only thing I dreaded was the traffic on the parkway. It was heavy during peak times and we spent a lot of time trying to get to one place from another. But it's like that anywere on vacation. It was a good week and the cabin was the best part of it. Thanks Amy for making it special. The Allen's Canonsburg, PARecommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Everything about our stay at Waters Edge was perfect. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and romantic. Amy made sure everything you could think of was there for our use and was so helpful every step of the way. We especially enjoyed the relaxing view of the lake when the sun was setting in the afternoons. We saw turkeys, rabbits, turtles, and a beaver. Not to mention the excellent location, a secluded feel with just a short drive to all the excitement. This was our first trip to the Smokey Mountains and Waters Edge certainly helped make it one to remember. Thanks for everything Amy. We will be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi Blaze, I'm so glad you got to see the turkeys. They aren't always around and sometimes I've counted upwards of 40 at once on the hillside. I'm flattered that you chose our cabin for your first visit to the Smokies and that you'll consider coming to the area again. It is truly beautiful. Thanks Blaze!

After searching for a pet friendly rental I found what I was looking for - not only pet friendly, but WIFI, a fishing pond and in a great location. I read all (and there are many!) comments from prior guests and when I had an opportunity to corresponde with Amy I knew all their comments were spot-on! She is right there for you, ask questions and she will answer promptly. The cabin is decorated with a fishing theme and the kitchen is well stocked, king-size bed is comfy. Nice large coffee mugs, not those whimpy little cups! I can't even describe how clean it was. My husband and I did cabin cleaning in Pigeon Forge for a large rental outfit for a while and this cabin surpasses what those luxury cabins have. Don't pass up dinner at Bullfish - get the prime rib, too die for! If you are from the big city, the quietness of this cabin will amaze you. I could go on and on but I'll let you decide for yourslef. I'm just taking a few moments of quiet time before we pack up and head out...I want this review to be 'fresh'!! Amy, we will be back!! Thanks so much for your help!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for taking a moment from your vacation to write such a fantastic review. You sure made my day! I am glad you both enjoyed the cabin and found everything to your liking. It was just me and my Mom this trip. Water's Edge is in a wonderful location and just the perfect size for two people! The ramped entrance was great for my mom's walker. Very easy for bringing in the luggage too! I truly enjoyed watching the three Canadian geese that hung around at the lake each morning and evening. I even gave them some bread one morning. I never did see any turkey though. Of course, I brought the weather with me, as I always do. We had several thunderstorms this week. My mom really enjoyed hearing the rainfall on the metal roof. I enjoyed sitting outside on the porch with my computer and enjoying nature while I caught up on things. The lighted trees above the fireplace and the makeup washcloths in the bathroom were a nice touch! Mom loved all the eating out and shopping and the nice shower with the seat! Now she wants a shower head like this one! And she thought the goodie basket was an awesome touch too (she likes to snack)! Thanks, Amy for sharing another one of your wonderful homes with us!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: I'm so glad you and your mom enjoyed Water's Edge this week! It sounds like you made the most of everything...even the rain on the metal roof and feeding the geese at the pond LOL Thank you for being one of our few guests who've stayed at all FOUR of our cabins. If we had frequent flier miles, I'd give you 10,000 points! Thank you for the wonderful review.

Had a wonderful honeymoon at Water's Edge Cabin. The cabin is in a great location, only minutes from all the attractions of Pigeon Forge. It was well stocked with everything you could need. The hot tub was wonderful after the long days shopping and walking around the park! We definitely enjoyed watching the turkeys on the hill from the front porch in the early morning. Would definitley stay here again! Amy is so easy to work with...Thanks Again for the great stay!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Hi Missy, and thank you for letting us know you had such a nice honeymoon getaway at Water's Edge. I love it there too...and sometimes you're lucky enough to see the turkeys "grazing" on the hill LOL I think I saw 30-40 of them one time, too. My husband and I stayed at Waters Edge the weekend of Thanksgiving with our 9 month old son. The cabin was perfect as everything was on one level. Even though we brought all of our own stuff, Amy has stocked the cabin with a highchair and pack-n-play! We have been visting Pigeon Forge off and on for the last 8-9 years and this cabin is in a wonderful location! It is SO close to everything (no mountains to climb) but yet it feels private. The cabin was also clean and well stocked. We even met the developer of the subdivision and enjoyed a wonderful walk with great mountain views. You won't be disappointed with Water's Edge. Many thanks to Amy for answering all of our questions and going above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The "welcome" goodies and note were such a nice treat :) We'll definitely be back to Waters Edge!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for being our Thanksgiving guests at Water's Edge. We always hope the cabin meets our guests expectations (especially for the holidays) and worry over the details, but it sounds like we hit the mark for you! Yes, there are some fantastic views if you take the road further up the mountain. I think I know right where you were ;0) Happy Holidays to you, your husband and little one. We would be thrilled to have you all back for another stay at Water's Edge. Thanks, Amy.

Everything that is advertised and more. A lovely location to get away from the craziness of the parkway shopping. Convenient, yet private. Amy is GREAT to deal with. No problems at all. I would stay in any of her properties again. All the extras were here.....laundry and dish soap and hand soap. Although we chose to eat all our meals out, the kitchen seems well stocked. I've been renting cabins in other locations and this is my best experience yet.Recommended for: People with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This cabin was not only as good as portrayed-----It was better. Not only was the area beautiful, but the cabin was fantastic. I stayed with two friends and we all agreed that it was next to perfect. The decorating was very tasteful and not overdone. The owners thought of everything one would need to stay there---including a roll of toilet paper and coffee filters. The fireplace was used a lot rather than turning up the heat, we enjoyed watching the fire. We did not fish but enjoyed just looking at the pond. I plan to return next year and take my husband. Thank you for letting us spent time in such a nice place. I would reccommend this to anyone.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Bobbie, thank you for the review and sharing that the cabin is "better" than advertised! I'm so pleased you and your friends had such a nice getaway weekend. Next year when you bring your husband, pack the fishing poles and see if he can land that 4 foot carp. Then that will be the talk of your trip! Hope to see you both in the spring.

My husband and I were looking to get away for our anniversary. I looked online at many many cabins. I was led to Water's Edge and it seemed perfect. Amy was wonderful in booking and sharing information for our trip. The cabin is beautiful, spacious and very well kept. We had everything we needed. It is secluded just enough, the screened in porch is great to begin and end your day. The bed is very comfy. The decor and furnishings make you feel at home the minute you walk thru the door. I recommend this cabin for all couples. Thank you again Amy. We loved it and I know it was the perfect cabin for us. God bless you and your family.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

I want to start by thanking Amy and her family for the communication while booking our stay and her availability when we had any questions. All of the reviews that I read before hand were exact! This place is great! We decided on Water's Edge because it was the closest to the pond. Great idea! The cabin was very private, quiet, clean, and stocked with anything you could ask for! Our 4th of July week was wonderful! I highly recommend this cabin for anyone with a small family or a couple. Just enough room! My kids were so excited! Also, my son is an avid fisherman. He, and my husband, were in heaven during our stay! They would hit the pond early, using chicken liver for bait, and they caught catfish, turtles, and the BIGGEST carp that I have ever seen! Then when we would get back from our daily 'outings', they would fish until dark with the same success! We have decided that anytime we plan a TN visit, we will only rent from the Greener family! We wish we would have reserved more days, we didnt want to leave!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for sharing the photo of the giant carp so we could post it on the Blue Mist Cabins Facebook page. It was amazing and I'm sure our future guests will appreciate the tip on what bait to use to bring in the big ones! I'm glad you enjoyed the cabin and rental process. We aim to make it easy and enjoyable. Thanks for the rave review and vote of confidence. Please come again anytime!!

Amy, just wanted to let you know we had a great time at Waters Edge. This is such a great cabin. Owner response: Perry, thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked Water's Edge so much. Just too bad the weather wasn't quite right for dropping a fishing line. Your compliment made my day. I'm not perfect but I try hard to make sure our guests get my full attention and care. Of course, having guests like yourselves makes my job all the easier. Thank you very much!

Every thing from my first contact with Amy till we had to go home was EXCELLENT. She and I talked about 45 minutes and it was a very pleasant conversation. She told me everything I needed to know about the cabin. The instruction she emailed me had information about Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg from places to eat to free wifi. We were there for 3 nights and we never heard a sound but nature. We tried fishing but I guess my patients is not what it used to be LOL. The cabin is decorated so very nice. She had Christmas decorations up. We felt right at home and Amy has everything you could possible need.We needed a peaceful getaway and Waters Edge is it. We will be returning every time we make a trip to the Smokey's. In closing, the morning of leaving I saw a herd of wild turkeys. I stood real quiet and they just marched right by me into the yard. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR CABIN!!!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Richard, thank you for such a nice review. I know how much you and your wife needed a reprieve from your busy days and opposite work schedules...and it's great to hear that you had such a good time! I do love all the sounds of nature there...it's a real change of pace. And those turkeys! I counted almost 40 when I was there in November. It is like a "herd" when you see them LOL Thanks for spending time at Water's Edge and please come again anytime when you need another break.

Where do I start? Communications with the owners: It was very pleasant and friendly. We feel as though we have gained a couple of new friends. Location: If you’re REALLY looking to get away, then this is the place. The cabin is in a small valley with only a few other cabins around a beautiful little fish pond. You would think you were miles from town when in all actuality; you’re only about 3 to 4 miles from downtown Pigeon Forge. Cabin: The minute we walked in we felt at home. Very beautifully decorated and cozy. The kitchen is very well equipped. Movies and games for the TV, although I can’t imagine wanting to watch TV while staying there. The fireplace and candles are nice and calming. The bedroom, bath and heart shaped tub were simply great. The hot tub on the screened in porch was my destination early morning and late at night. Amy and Richard really thought of all the little things to help make our stay as relaxing as possible. Now…. about our stay: Our intentions when booking this getaway were to totally relax and enjoy each other, which is just what we did! I’ve just recently started fishing. Roger on the other hand has been fishing for 43+ years and has been a fishing guide for 25+ years. When talking to Amy about what type fish were in the pond she told me catfish, bream, and crappie. Amy went on to tell me of an alleged ALBINO CATFISH that had been seen and pursued by a local youngster. Well this to say the least excited both Roger and me. I wanted that Albino Cat and so did Roger. I told Amy, if we caught him while we were there we would send her a picture so she would know it really existed. Well….within the first hour of wetting my hook, I caught a 1 pound catfish and then I HOOKED HIM! I have never been so excited and proud of a fish in my life. Roger said he has never seen one before. After releasing him I caught a 5 pound bass and several bream. Roger caught lots of bream. We fished until it was just to dark and cold to fish any more. The hot tub took care of my numb fingers and toes. We were both up the next day ready to relax and continue our fishing. We were there under 2 hours when Roger hooked a big one. As he reeled it in he shouted it’s the big white one again! I couldn’t believe it! After a short fight he was landed yet again. I took lots of pictures this time. This my sound like a fish tail to you but, I have the pictures to prove it really happened. We hated leaving Sunday morning. I can promise you this, WE WILL BE BACK! TRecommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Laura and Roger, I wish I could post your pictures right here in the reviews. Those fish are huge! I had no idea we had anything that big in the pond. I am impressed that Roger is a fishing guide and after 43 years he finally landed an albino catfish . What a great story and thank you for the nice review. Hope to see you back at Water's Edge next year :o)

Being from NC my wife and I enjoy the Smoky Mtns. Even though she lived most of her live in NC she had never been to the Gatlinburg area. We both walked into Water's Edge and went wow!! The place is fantastic inside. Being just a one bedroom was great since we wanted to be alone...no kids...no friends tagging along. We wanted to get away and relax and that is just what we did. Spending a lot of time out on the front porch overlookin the pond. We never fished but we did go down to the water and fed them and the ducks. Sitting on the screened porch one afternoon we watched a floch of turkeys walk across the grassy area at the head of the pond and up the street beside the cabin. There were five large femals and about a dozen little ones. Pretty cool to watch and just add the the relaxation feeling of being there. Many thanks to the owners for opening up this wonder place for others to enjoy.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Mike, I agree...the wildlife in the area sure adds to the charm of the location. Thanks for sharing your nature report! I'm so happy that you and your wife had a perfect getaway to just relax and turn off the world. We appreciate you being our guests. Amy

We just got home from our stay at Water's Edge. We already cannot wait to return! The cabin was even better than I imagined. It is PERFECT! We took our two children, ages 11 and 13 and they said "the cabin" was their favorite part of the trip. The cabin beat out the Dixie Stampede, Splash Country, and mini-golf! We had a wonderful time fishing in the pond. We all caught a fish! We saw a turtle, geese, and wild turkeys. We enjoyed watching the movies and games that were provided at the cabin. The cabin was BEAUTIFUL, clean, and actually larger than I expected. My only problem was that we DIDN'T STAY LONGER! We will definetly be back next summer and I'm sure this will become a place we hope to enjoy many times as a family. I also would like to comment on how wonderful the owner was throughout the planning process. I am new to booking a trip online and I was a little nervous. She guided me every step of the way. She was always friendly and everything she said was true and helpful. THANK YOU!!!!!!! I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful time we got to share as a family at Water's Edge. We look forward to returning next summer!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Wow, the cabin beat out all those great attractions? I'm flattered to no end, Angie! Thank you for such a great review and your kind words. I hope you can come back next summer for a longer stay and more family fun. Amy

I can't say how much we enjoyed staying in the cabin. When we walked through the doors we were in awe. All I kept hearing from my daughter was "O my God, this place is awesome." We especially enjoyed the pond. We finished every morning and every night. One morning I heard my husband yelling Mary, Mary....I coming running with the camera and he said reel this in. It was unbelievable what we caught...a 9 lb albino catfish...we released it back to its happy home. The scenery was breath taking. Angel our dog enjoyed it too...the cabin had dog treats!!! Thank you again to THE GREENERS for a wonderful cabin to stay in.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: A 9 pound albino catfish? Now that's different! It sounds like your husband really enjoyed the daily fishing regimen LOL I am so glad your family enjoyed the cabin and the amenities. Thank you for a beautiful review, Mary.

My husband and I overall enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, well-supplied, and cozy. The only disappointment was that the cabin wasn't as secluded as we had understood it to be. The pond in front of the cabin turned out to be a magnet for people fishing. One late afternoon we were totally caught unaware while in the hot tub on the front deck. I stood up to get out and locked eyes with a man at the pond looking up at the deck. This bothered me the most because I thought we were alone but undoubtedly the noise of the hot tub had obstructed the sound of people at the pond.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: PS, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will install roll-up blinds around the hot tub area for added privacy. We noticed only two families at the fishing pond when we were there June 16-20 setting up the cabin and did not believe blinds would be necessary. I appreciate you sharing your experience so we can make that improvement. I know you had originally rented the cabin from a rental company and I do not know what they told you about the cabin, but I will review our listing to make sure it does not imply seclusion. While the closest cabin is 200 feet away, the fishing pond is available to other guests and there could be people nearby at times. Again, thanks for the tip and we'll address it promptly!

This cabin is truly magnificent. As soon as we walked in the door our mouths dropped open with excitement. The cabin is beautifully decorated, clean, and cozy. We fell in love with the cabin, its surroundings and the area, so much so we hope to purchase a cabin of our own someday. If only we can find one JUST LIKE THIS GEM!!!! The wood floors, walls and ceilings along with the stone fireplace makes you feel you are secluded way back in your own private world. It is quiet and serene. We came home feeling totally rested and relaxed. We never had that on a vacation!!! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. The hot tub and heart shaped bathtub are awesome and the bed is so comfy we slept like babies!! The Greeners thought of everything. The only thing we needed were groceries. We cannot wait to go back! It was by far the best vacation we ever had. Thank you so much for all your hospitality. You have a huge fan in Florida and we have lots of friends we have passed this info onto.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for the wonderful review, Marcy. People are going to think I paid you to say all that LOL I will keep my eyes open for a nice cabin for you so we can be neighbors--I think the "Froggy" cabin on the other side of the pond is up for sale now. I'll be on the lookout and let you know if I find any great deals :0)

We spent a week at Waters Edge Cabin in June. We were pleasantly surprised with the cabin . We arrived late in the evening, so we had a chance to see the beautiful sunset over the pond with fireflies. After entering the cabin we were taken aback we did not expect the luxurious interior or attention to all of the details. The cabin is so well equipped with all of the amenities, as well as many we did not expect. From flat screen TV’s to a great Hot Tub, a Jacuzzi Tub, movies, games, fishing equipment, washer/dryer, all kitchen luxuries including spices, a grill and even free wi-fi. The cabin is decorated beautifully warm and cozy and absolutely spotlessly clean. We loved everything down to the large white fluffy linens and towels. A great place to go for any type of getaway and close enough to all of the local attractions that the state has to offer though still privately nestled in the mountains!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Angela, thank you for being our first reviewer--and our very first guests. I am thrilled you enjoyed it so much. You've made it all worth it, thanks!
