Wonderful Nantucket beach house. Ideally located close to the Surfside ocean beaches -- the nicest on the island!! The house is steps from the Surfside bike path, which runs from town to Surfside beach, offering a pleasant bike ride or walk to the ocean. The center of town is a 5-10 minute drive away.
The house has a lot of architectural character, including a soaring cathedral ceiling in the great room.
The great room and den have flat screen TVs with DVD players.
The MBR, with en suite bathroom featuring a large soaking tub, has a king-sized bed. Two other bedrooms feature queen-sized beds. And a fourth bedroom has two twin four poster beds.
The yard is perfect for family fun. The deck is equipped with a gas grill just waiting for you to show it what you've got. The house also features a "closet of fun" filled with beach chairs, volleyball/badminton sets, kids' lacrosse sticks, boogie boards and more.

Quintessential Nantucket and just a short walk from the beach

We found this house to be perfect for 4 adults (1 pregnant) and 4 children under the age of 3. There was plenty of room inside, and we would go out and play football everyday in the very spacious back yard. This house also has a huge deck which we were able to utilize for dinner and drinks and enjoy a Nantucket sunset. With the Nantucket red stairs that led you from the lower level upstairs, to the local artists that are represented throughout the house, this house oozes Nantucket charm while always being family friendly. The sizable kitchen and dining area was a plus for us and all the kids. The location of this house is perfect for families as it is less than a 10 minute walk from Surfside beach which is extremely family friendly. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone (especially families, but in our life before children I can see it being conducive to 2-3 couples). We found this vacation home to be the best deal on island and will definitely be going back.
Recommended for:Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers.

Thanks so much for sharing your great home with us! We had a fabulous two week vacation and were very pleased with everything. The space is terrific, the kitchen is well appointed and the house is nicely updated and very kid friendly. We loved the yard and deck and used them both every day. We have been coming to the island for 15 years and have stayed in Surfside for 7. This is one home that we hope to return to!
