Ashwood Hill Cottage is a fully furnished home, with two bedrooms, two baths, a fully equipped kitchen, living room with digital satellite television, VCR, DVD, and stereo, and a wood-burning Vermont Castings fireplace/stove. One bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed, the other with twin beds which we can join into one large one, a particularly nice way for two couples to enjoy the cottage.
30 acres of meadows and woodlands provide the setting for Ashwood Hill. A private drive one-third of a mile in length ensures privacy during your stay. Relax in the four person hot tub on the private deck or stroll among the trees in the grassy meadows surrounding the house.
In the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Ashwood Hill is located within 20 minutes of Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute in Historic Lexington and Mary Baldwin College in Staunton. A multitude of things to do in the area include Shakespeare at Blackfriars' Theater, the Museum of Frontier American Culture, Natural Bridge, Stonewall Jackson House and Museum, Theater and Lime Kiln, hiking and fishing in Goshen Pass, kayaking, canoeing and rafting.
Or just relax on the wrap-around porches and enjoy and peace and quiet only a sizable property well away from roads can provide.
