  This was our 2nd year at Kay Casa, we are so happy with Debra's hospitality that I am sure we will be back for a 3rd year in a row. Perfect location.

  Had a great time at your condo. Everything we needed in the way of basics was here. Thanks for that. Kenna liked the bubbles but was more excited you knew her name. The staff here is excellent. The pool was always kept clean, and always checking the water to keep & make sure in balance. The restaurant suggestions were excellent. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay and letting us stay!

  Thank you so much for helping us have a wonderful vacation! The location is perfect and the view can’t be beat! It was so thoughtful of you to leave the bubbles for our kids.   Great stay with my parents after a fun day with friends on Jamaica Beach. After 30 years in Houston, this was the first time for them (my parents) to discover this part of Galveston! Enjoyed the stay, the view and easy access to the beach and boardwalk. Thanks so much.

  The condo was ideal for our purposes. My daughter brought a friend with her and the bunk beds were their own little sleepover space. Lots of whispering & giggling into the night. Recommend Yaga’s on the Strand as best bang for your dining buck (that’s not a chain). Gorgeous view from the balcony & ocean breeze means you can sit out there any time of day. Thanks for a memorable stay.

  Loved it! Will be back soon. Not a better view on the Seawall! We spent hours just sitting on the balcony enjoying the view. Great beach access too! Thanks!

  View and location were good. Furniture showing wear, sofa and bed uncomfortable. Oven ran constantly when turned on making kitchen barely functional for us. Wear on side chair not committed by us was charged to us and we were NOT refunded our damage deposit. Owner did not communicate ANYTHING to us until three weeks later when a photo of the alleged damage arrived along with receipt of a complete REPLACEMENT of the chair. The chair could have been completely reupholstered for far less than the amount of the damage deposit. For proof I offer reviews on hotels.com, yelp.com, linktown.khou.com and google discussing wear and tear and the need for updating on the property in general. Unless you are prepared to inspect every inch of this condo with a magnifying glass when you arrive, I would steer clear. Although I initially wrote a decent review in the owner's book, not wanting to be mean where everyone could see, now that they've decided to withhold my damage deposit, the gloves are off. We feel the property owner took advantage of the fact that we live 5 hours away (making any legal attempt to recover our deposit an impossibility) to replace an already sadly worn chair. Needless to say, we will never stay here again. This is our fifth time renting properties through VRBO and our first poor experience.

  Owner response: I am sorry that the renter feels I took advantage of them because of their location. I did not. Simply stated, the damage deposit was not reimbursed because the renter did not comply with the terms of the rental agreement that they signed. In the terms I ask that “no damage be done beyond normal wear and tear”. A rip in the upholstery, on the seat of the chair, 2” long goes beyond “normal wear and tear”. The seat cushion is attached to the chair so flipping it over or reupholstering just the cushion was not an option. The replacement cost for the chair was $107.17, slightly higher than their deposit. It was the most economical solution to the damage. I personally clean my condo. I personally vacuum the chair. I personally know if there is damage by the renter. I notified the next renter I was aware of the damage. I, in no way, imply or state that my condo is new or updated. That is the reason I offer substantially lower rates compared to other oceanfront venues. I am considered a good value. As far as the comfort of the bed or sofa and functionality of my kitchen please see the two previous reviews. The kitchen is small (see photo) but very functional.
